    You may not understand what’s the word “SLEEP” meaning …How do you click anything if the laptop won’t wake up ? Can’t see anything to click 🙄🙄

    I hape a HP from work with a ryzen 7 , i closed the laptop with revit and other software open, i got home and now the laptop doesnt even turn on, the charger light is functioning and its full but the laptop seems DEAD , PLZ HELP

    I recently bought a hp pavilion 14 but I was getting the same issue. When I was put the sleep mode(when I keep it more than hour only) it won't respond with any key or mouse the only option is I have to long press on power button but it's not the way and what doc you attachment for above user those settings not showing to me.

    Or, get this, you can fix your laptops work when you open it up.

    Why is it not possible to simply find information on how to wake up a sleeping HP notebook that is NOT a case of "it won't wake up" but rather what should I do to make it wake up under normal operation? Why does all the "help" assume my notebook will not wake up and needs to be restarted, etc? Mine wakes up, but sometimes quickly, sometimes not, and so I wonder: what should I do to make it wake up quickly under normal circumstances? Is pressing the space bar the answer? Or the return key? Escape? Is it one of the function keys? None of the system/power & battery controls help this situation, so I have to assume things are set properly.

      Press the "Sleep" button on the keyboard. On HP computers, it will be near the top of the keyboard and it will have the symbol of a quarter moon on it. Move the mouse as well to see if either will wake the computer up.

    This does not address the issue whatsoever! Screen is black,, there is no ability to click on anything at all. Don't say you're offering a solution to a problem ... I don't want to return my computer to sleep or hibernate, the fact that is hibernating is the PROBLEM!

    This wonderful issue has returned. Issue persists even after full clean reinstall of Windows 11, Support Assist, latest BIOS, and latest drivers. PC won't wake from sleep with keyboard, touchpad, or even power button. At this point there is either a terrible driver released, or possibly a physical issue.

      @@HPSupport My suspicion was either it was a compatibility issue with this model and Windows 11, BIOS, or a hardware related issue. Trust me all things have been tried. The PC I was working on was an HP Stream 64GB that originally shipped with Windows 10 S-Mode, but had been upgraded to Windows 11. I even tried a clean install of Windows 10 onto it, but still had the issue. I guess it's possible there is an issue on the motherboard causing this behavior.

      @@HPSupport Thank you so much for the replies. It's nice to see you have an active team on your channel. I have encountered this issue many times in the past, and have always been able to fix it. Typically a simple BIOS update or driver rollback/update fixes it. Just unlucky this time. This unit is no longer under MFG Warranty. Our service center can replace the motherboard if the client desires. Not sure it would be worth the money on an HP Stream though. Likely will advise client to just disable sleep as a workaround if they do not wish to put more money into this unit.

    i turned my pc into safe mode, it then made me restart my pc, now it says the hdmi isnt connected witch it is ive even plugged a new hdmi in and it still wont connect.

    Most unhelpful video. If you are faced with a black screen NONE of these things work. The only thing that works is to press and hold the power button on my laptop.
