This game did a lot of things right, especially camera and presentation. I remember renting this for a weekend as a kid and had no clue why no one else had played it!! Sleeping Dogs might beat it out for combat, but that wasn't until what 10 years later?
The greatest Melee combat system in any video game ever made. None have come close Used to play this shit nonstop back in the mid 2000s and the FInal Boss fight is one of my favourite boss fights in any video game. The animations with the counters are just so damn beautiful and immersive
Great review! I personally think Jackie Chan Stuntmaster is very underrated as well and comparing to Rise to Honor it had an edge in platforming and control variety. The way the stick controls worked was pretty innovative, though feeling limiting for some, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Is this game on the PS4 marketplace? BC this looks amazing! I saw you mention Sleeping Dogs in another comment; that game was underrated too. I guess Hong Kong Kung Fu games are just slept on in general? Also October - December 2004 was gaming heyday, hell 2004 was a threat year for gaming and arguably the last retro gaming year. As a kid I had fond memories of playing Halo 2, Half Life 2, Spiderman 2, Metroid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, NFS Underground 2, Tony Hawk Underground 2 (damn a lot of 2s in 2004), Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban, GTA San Andreas, and The Incredibles. I wish my parents, grandparents, cousin or uncle would've given me this game sometime that year. Oh well lol, at least you brought it to my attention.
I remember my parents friend let me borrow this game back in 07, and it was so good finished the game back then, i just bought my copy online recently, about to play it again
I agree. Rise to Honor should’ve been a massive success and spawn a franchise. Plus I like how passionate Jet Li was about making the game
Yeah, it was pretty cool seeing how into the project Jet personally was. I wish we could still get projects like these.
Oh yeah, finally some appreciation for this absolute gem of a game.

It was, yeah. That's another one of those hidden gem games that don't get talked about enough.
I remember actually owning this game when i was only 5. I'm 22 now, & it's proof in the pudding that classics can NOT be beaten.

Wow. Games like this are why Backwards Compatibility is important. I want to play this.
Same here

The Blade II video game also has combat that uses the right stick.
"Have you heard of it?" I beat it over 10 times and i am currently playing it again. Great video Subscribed =)
0:58 Holy cow! You just mentioned Wolverine's Revenge! That game gets VERY little coverage! Can you please consider reviewing it? Pretty please?!
It's my next review.
@@P1SM SUWWEEEEEET!!! Just turned on notifications!
I love how you used the jazz music they use in the game 😂

I remember this was one of the games I got with my first PS2 in 05. I love the drunken master pool fight and it’s theme.
Sleeping dogs took it to another level tho , no game made me feel more like Bruce Lee then that game
That’s a great game. Should do a video on it sometime soon.
The only game I only came across once, but never found it again in stores so missed out on it.

Gave the game a try based on this review. Glad I did!!! I love Kung Fu and HK John Woo films, so this game was right up my alley!
It's a blast! Glad you enjoyed it!
Holy shit, I loved this game
I hope it comes out on psn store someday
Good game but it has some difficulty spikes like enemies jumping you the same time and big dudes who spam throws
I really want to play this game!!! 🎮😁🙌 I've always loved watching Jet Li in movies but to see him in a live action video game wow 😊
This is definitely the most positive video that I seen on this game and I won hundred percent agree👍🏾
Can you please do a video review on uncharted lost legacy or/and uncharted 4 pretty please?
The Uncharted series is on my list.
