I'm a 72 year young man that is happily in love and married to my third and final wife. Life has all kinds of twists and turns which though not seeming to have purpose ultimately turn us into wiser people. I've been through the heartbreak and pain but looking back it was all good. I have not one single regret because to have regret is to not want to be where one is in the present. I would not change a single thing in my life because I found the most beautiful intriguing woman on this planet walking this path. So from me to you take some time to recharge the best in life happens when it's least expected. It happens we are coming to Iceland in October for a honeymoon we never took and thanks for all your videos which helped us tremendously!

If not, unfortunately, unless you have a child or spouse who is an EU/EEA citizen and willing to move with you, or is already an Icelandic resident, there is pretty much no option to come here as a retiree. Iceland specifically does not have an option for non-EU/EEA people to immigrate by investment or to retire.
Edit: A couple European countries like Ireland and Italy will, under certain circumstances, grant citizenship if you can prove recent ancestors were citizens. If you were able to acquire EU/EEA citizenship that way, you could move pretty easily.

Dearest Jewell, just watched your video and I need to tell you that it is ok to have the feelings you are experiencing; and possibly many more. However, I still see and hear in your voice a kind, gentle, loving spirit. I am a 78 year young woman and a member of the divorced clan. We survived the experience and you will too. Write your final chapter to your experience and when your chapter is finished you will know.
    KEEP SMILING AND STAY SAFE.
    LOVE YOUR VIDEOS.

Wow Jewells, I felt your trepidation as you started talking, but for some reason you have had different energy for a while. Let me say that I have the utmost respect for your forthright display of transparency and authenticity. The reality is that no one can predict the future with certainty, so there is no shame that you and Gunnar chose to part ways. I wish I were there to offer a hug and a prayer(if you are open to that). I do pray that your heart heals in miraculous ways.....that serve as wisdom for you and beneficial testimony for others. The true beauty of your disclosure is that, in spite of your fear, you have literally taken a step in your own internal liberation AND by your example, you have freed someone else to tell their own story! I am beyond proud of you, Jewells. You are strong, perseverant and truly a deep reservoir of endless possibility. May your tears be sweet and your tomorrows be tantalizing! 🙏🏼🌞🌠🌈

You are not only dealing with the end of a relationship but also mourning the loss of what could've been. I appreciate your transparency during this time. But I also thank you for sharing so much of your life there in Iceland. You've shown myself and many others an amazingly beautiful country. And shared so much information about the truly resilient people there, their traditions, culture, food and so much more. And I thank you for that. I wish you the best as you navigate through this season of life. And I'm glad that you've decided to stay. I remember the video where you said that you "feel safe" there. I think what makes them appealing (in addition to the useful information you impart to travellers, would-be travellers, migrants and the simply curious) is the delightful enthusiasm and sincerity that is clearly evident. You are a beautiful person and certainly need not fear you will ever be friendless and alone. I don't think you will let this set you back, there is definitely fun, adventure and success waiting for you. I would love to see you go from strength to strength with your channel - partly for selfish reasons! I love Iceland and love to hear about it. I have to first say that I find you to be an enchanting and most likable person, and I was certainly looking forward to reading your many joyful stories about your life in your adopted country. I do intend to continue to read your posts as you move forward in your life. I am so sorry to read about what happened in your marriage - my heart hurts for you indeed. You are such a good example of a person of strong and admirable character, and I wish you all good things in your future. I am glad that you are going to remain in Iceland and not have to experience the turmoil in the U.S. that is so toxic to people of color, and to people like me as well who believe that hate and fear is not the message that I want to hear. So carry on, lovely young woman, and have the best years of your life just around the corner❣
