This is a great trick. I've seen it before and I do it all the time. The only change that I made personally was when I'm alternating face up and face down cards, I keep them ALL face down, that way none of the cards can be seen until the final three are revealed. In my opinion, it's keeps the suspense going right up to the end.
I also forgot to mention another subtle difference that I do when I perform this trick. Instead of asking the spectator to pick 3 of a kind, I ask him to select three consecutive cards of the same suit (eg 3, 4, & 5 of spades is a bit easier to remember than 3 of spades, 3 of hearts, & 3 of clubs). At the end of the trick when three cards are remaining, I pick up the pile and lay them face down one at a time (counting them out loud for the spectator) to reverse the order, that way when I reveal them I reveal them in order 3, 4, & 5 of spades. :)
Nice effect. I have been searching for a trick with this basis for a long time. That one - from a book I no longer have - had the patter as four jacks who were robbing a grand party. The alternating deals were the police checking all the people leaving, leaving you with the four jacks to make their escape / be caught. I never found the description of how to setup, but I remember the alternative deals. Thank you for the demonstration.
Hey MLT I love your content...Could you let me know the classic bicycle cards(red, blue) you use are made of thick paper and don't riffle shuffle easily when they are brand new?..Pls let me know
Love your tutorials, and also loved those spiderman cards 😅 One question, what are bicycle playing cards made of? Only plastic Paper with a plastic film Or just paper/cardboard material
I first got this trick from another youtuber and have used it many times. If there is a joker in the pack, after they pick the 3 of a kind, I replace the 4th with a joker. Just saying
Getting back into cards and you are absolutely the best teacher with the best tricks. Subscribed!
