- Prevalent across each and every entry of A Song of Ice and Fire is the idea that the world is not so simple as good and evil. Good people can and do make bad decisions, even for good reasons, and bad people have their own moments of virtue. Yet, through the nature of the themes and the actions of the characters within, it is clear that A Song of Ice and Fire is focused heavily on the sins and shortcomings of humanity. Thus, there are many in the narrative who are wicked and evil. Hello everyone, and welcome back to Exploring Fiction. From wayward knights to roaming mercenaries to kings and queens on the Iron Throne itself, there are many who qualify for the title of worst individual in A Song of Ice and Fire. I thought it would make for an entertaining discussion, so I have compiled a list of a few contenders and will succinctly state each of their cases. So, who exactly are the worst people in the story of A Song of Ice and Fire, and who do I think holds claim to that unseemly title? Let’s explore…

Sorry, but this list seems a bit off to me.
Mirri, Theon and Stannis are complex and have dark side and some of them made really evil things but surely non of them would I list before listing characters like Tywin, Euron or Vargo Hoat for example. What about the others Brave Companions?
I understand what you mean, and I definitely think the characters you mentioned are near the top. I just wanted to present some controversial characters. The Brave Companions are definitely horrible

I'd say that Tywin Lannister is the absolute worst. He completely exterminated more than one House, used others to do his dirty work, and acted as if everything he did was perfectly all right. He also has probably exterminated House Lannister, at least in the male line. All their allies are leaving now that he's dead, and most of their men and boys are in dangerous situations.

Euron and Tywin have been popular answers as snubs
khal drago his in charge of a rampaging horde of city pilligars and yes his kind to danny later on on but well its not like she wanted to marry him and his actions are what lead to miri doing the stuff she did so it all roots back to his people (after all gregor is a brute but his not in charge of a entire civialition that does horrible things cause they are strong so I think the capciaty of crueilty should be messarued and compared to people like drago and euron mountain doesn't really compare)
Mirri is not evil. What she did with Drogo and Rhaego is very much good for essentially the entire world. Beyond that she didn't really owe Danaerys anything, Danaerys is why Drogo and his Khalasar came and destroyed or enslaved everything and everyone she cared for. And beyond that Dany's "rescue" only prevented 1 of the 5 assaults that happened to her and did so by making her Dany's own personal slave.
How aren't Varys and Littlefinger on this list but stannis is?! And what about ros bolton and joffery and so much more!?
If you put theon greyjoy on the list of potential most evil characters in a song of life and fire Catlin Stark should have been there Tywin Lannister should have definitely been in there, not many men in a song of ice and fire who can say they exterminated an entire family. But here's the real kicker, why wasn't EURON GRAYJOY not on the list? The man is literally so evil that he wants to end the world, and become the new God, and is willing to kill family, friends, and break all the laws of gods and Men to accomplish it.
Also, he serially raped and killed his siblings

Tywin Lannister, Roose Bolton and Aerys Targaryen should be here as well.
Especially Tywin. He’s so proud of committing genocide that he made a song for it, then used the very same song for another genocide. But it’s easy to see him as not so evil because of his element of “cool power fantasy”.

Cersei doesn't care about her children. Otherwise, she wouldn't have run the Tyrell alliance into the ground by trying to get an innocent person like Margarey framed for adultery.
That alliance was what saved her children. I hate her so much.
I'm not sure Cersei really counts as evil since she's clearly gone insane by the time she gets anywhere near as bad as the others on this list. For most of the book series Tyrion was worse than her and his actions against Cersei and her children are a big part of the reason she snapped.
