You can't really compare the two albums, Dre stopped working on Detox to do other stuff. Jay Electronica is already done with the album. Sure it has been a while and I bet it'll be a longer wait. Also, Jay Elec's discography is insane, every song is amazing from top to bottom. That doesn't happen over night. Many rappers make dime-a-dozen songs so they can afford to drop mad songs. Quality > Quantity. Just be patient.
He really does have "The Rap game saying at last like Etta James..." "Lames get their planes shot down like John McCain"......... Couldn't reference the line with out finishing the bar... It's too fuckin ill not to give it that respect.

Doc Soprano In an article I read he said that he purposely faked the new York accent to fit in because he was dissed for his New Orleans accent. He said he was once ashamed to come from the south.. and that he imitated the NY accent so much that it eventually stuck with him. He kind of has an east coast accent but if you listen closely you can still hear his New orleans accent.
jay is super nice but unfortunatly he will never be able to just rap anymore because he is catergorized, and labeled. I just wanna see him in a dirrrty lil backstreet mom n pop afterhours, getn it in. Then I could judge, he has a great vocab and strong wordplay and above average flow. He lacks the voice of the great ones though, simply how his voice sounds. Pac, Biggie, jada,scarface, snoop they got that voice. They could order a pizza and make it sound fly, jay nope. Overall I give him 9
