This was a very cool video. I think that it is awesome that you recorded memories made with your grandfather and gave the viewer an opportunity to learn something, while showing how to do quality work. Thanks for sharing, I subscribed because of this video.

You can tell a man who loves his work. He smiles! What a good man. TR3s are hard. RWB ❤

I am cruious if removing the fender would make straightening it out easier? I had mine off several times and even pulled most of the body off to sandblast the frame. There is just a couple of dozen bolts and it is off.
"TR3" and "deer" made me stop on this video. Back in 1979 I was working on a small farm / logging operation as a farm mechanic and one morning on my way to work as I was entering Deery, ID of all places, I had a 2-point buck run out into the road at high speed just as I was passing by. We both saw the other at same instant and not more than 2-seconds before impact. The deer jumped and I ducked. As we passed I turned my head and looked straight up into the air at his belly as he flew over my head. Didn't need any more coffee that morning because it took a couple of hours for my pulse to drop to normal.

Pretty neat watching the progress. I like your grandpa calling the new cars beer cans. Ain't that the truth. Pretty cool to learn the history of the 38.

...This is how I repaired my TR3a after it was sideswiped by an 18 wheeler and the entire passenger side was , shall we say, "distorted".....Used whatever hand tools I could lay my hands on....That was 1971 and I'm still driving it to-day, even with the 'not-so-perfect' body panels......All told, this is 2022, so we've had a 52 year relationship.....She's a well maintained survivor, with a few wrinkles, like the rest of us, eh .....John(west coast,Can.) ( I've had a good rear fender for several years, but just don't have the heart to switch out the repaired one...)....You can see her behind me on my FB page while I hold my old "Fly Algoma Airways" bumper sticker from my Ercoupe days in the 1970's.....AND, I can almost smell your bodywork, ahh, memories....
