- Creating a game system that can fit in the palm of your hand might be fun. But can you build it for the masses? See how Kevin Bates along with engineering mentor Bob Martin create Arduboy, a handheld gaming device about the size of a credit card. Developed with CircuitMaker, an open-source platform, Arduboy has an extensive library of games you can download. You can even download games other people have created online, or learn how to create your own! Known as the “wizard of make,” Martin, a well-known embedded-systems design veteran, helps Bates move Arduboy from prototype into production.

It's really great that you're featuring all these Makers, thank you 👍
It is what we enjoy doing!
dude's a genius. he's done so much stuff besides the Arduboy. awesome video!
No doubt! Kevin is making a real impact on the community he created!
Arduboy is one of the best open source handheld console I own. It is cool to make small games for it.
Good Luck! Wonderful
Awesome segment !!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
what a handsome man
Funny how Kevin Bates looks like Nathan Filion or Nathan Drake as he's getting older especially here 3:24. But seriously the arduboy is a nice little gadget to hack around with can't wait for a more capable one with more buttons like a proper gameboy so roms can take a little more storage space. I know it takes away at the challenge of having your full game fit in there but it would really be nice to play with a color variant or something like that.
I was thinking the same thing about him 😂
ever heard of BitByte?
Wow it’s very cool idea! I wont to do something like that myself. But I have a lot of bugs… And I have a problem with artifacts((((((
Never give up!
