The Arduboy is Open Source Hardware, afaik. It should have a clause in the license for commercial use, redistribution with modification, etc. And I'm sure if he contacted Arduboy about selling an Arduboy-compatible product they would be fine with it
This is awesome you have come very far in a shot time. The editing skills have greatly improved and you have a cool style now. These videos are amazing as they are but your growth from then till now is worlds apart.
Theres websites that can send you a pcb you just solder your stuff to it. Wish they would do that with arduboy so you can make it yourself. But they dont want people selling copies of their product
I was just thinking that if someone could get ahold of the printers for the gameboy games or especially the more valuable ones like pokémon or mario bros and printed more boxes, manuals, ads they could make a shitload of money. Just buy a cartridge even one without the label or prefarably buy 50 then repackage them and sell them way more expensively but cheaper then usual so it goes fast
Tiny Plays This was a hard wired prototype to make sure everything works, but the blue board is meant to be a removeable cart that will plug into the console with the oled, speaker, buttons and battery.
That would be cool, I think there's a lot of potential with arduino based gaming consoles and that would be a good starting point for people, myself included..
I had a balloned battery in a psp and upon checking things another in a 3ds, so what handhelds now days use proper batteries?, I specifically looking for a new handheld with backlight that takes standard batteries and plays original cartridge GBA as I don't trust any of my SPs and Micros, I do keep thinking of getting a backlight kit for one of my GBAs but I've seen vids and don't think they look that great by today's standards plus I never really liked the design of the original GBA
Thanks, I'm glad you like it. You'll really have fun once you see all of the other great games available on the system.
Looks really cool mate well done. Would be cool if you do a kit
Great games like "Egg Timer"

that arduboy is so greatly designed that everybody should have one. best design ever.
Except it can hardly play games

Hey man I love your videos your so underrated
Have you looked into the Pocketchip Pico-8? It's not new at all but it looks very cool.
You can't buy those anymore unfortunately, the company went under.
DrOctapu Ah, that sucks, it looked quite cool but it was a while since I thought of getting one :(
Just to clarify, the company that makes the CHiP has gone under.
The guy who makes the Pico8 software is alive and well.

I'm still torn on whether I should simply buy an Arduboy FX or build one myself

Agreed. Or someone could find a way to take at least some 600dpi color photos off a modded Game boy.. *(throws money at screen)*
This looks awesome just wondering if Shaun has turned this onto a PCB design to be produced a circuit

sjm4306 Yeah I get that, I was just curious on future designs and such
Tiny Plays Like Elliot said, I'm thinking of selling this as a kit once I finish designing the console board and making a 3d printed shell for it.
sjm4306 aqh nice
On what planet is the arduboy 80 pounds? It's on Amazon right now for 50 USD prime.
DJ Club Bible shipping costs to the uk are always extortionate which would probably push the price to £70-80

When is your Gameshell coming in? I wanna see an odroid go comparison :)
i have question i have a 1.3" 240x240 display how can I use that instead of the 0.96" display
He should put this into the retrofc's shell!
Please build a GameBoy Zero!
one drop of sweat lands on that thing its game over
i could make a tutorial on how you make one of these

You look unusually upset in that intro, but nice music as always!
I filmed this at 8 am! Thanks for checking though!
The Dreamcast VMU memory card is a more powerful handheld gaming console than this. Calling it a GameBoy is a dirty lie.
I want this
Ugh... I'm so late :(
How to make it
Hi
I had a balloned battery in a psp and upon checking things another in a 3ds, so what handhelds now days use proper batteries?, I specifically looking for a new handheld with backlight that takes standard batteries and plays original cartridge GBA as I don't trust any of my SPs and Micros, I do keep thinking of getting a backlight kit for one of my GBAs but I've seen vids and don't think they look that great by today's standards plus I never really liked the design of the original GBA
Can you run emulators on it?
You couldn't even run an Atari 2600 emulator on it
it looks like its in pain
Can you play actual game boy games?
No, the GameBoy has far more processing power and RAM.

Алло, где ссылка на проект? Нахер мне сдался твой нерабочий сайт и побрякушки с амазона.
