Hexa was a great car sadly they dont make it anymore, but the new safari is nowhere close to the Original safari which was a icon of that time, something which fortuner is today.
You forgot even during the times of Tata Estate and Sierra, Mahindra Still dominated them with Mahindra Jeep(commander), Marshall, Maxx etc.

Mahindra and Tata should expand in NA region specially USA/Canada. A lot of NRIs of US/Canada are ready to buy Indian passenger cars.
Point it Tata does business in lot other sectors almost spreading to 100+ countries, they are not dependent on passenger vehicles, whereas they are widely known for their trucks. Whereas Mahindra's widest business is their vehicle industry so they spend a lot on R&D with their vehicles.
@@Worldhuman232Listen boy, read my comment properly first. I've never called Mahindra small, and I have lots of known people who work both in Tata and Mahindra. I pointed out on the fact that passenger vehicle is never the most important sector of Tata whereas for Mahindra passenger vehicles make an important part of their business so they spend a lot on it's R&D.

Tata is already among world largest truck maker .TCS , tata steel , tata trucks all these tata subsidiary are worldwide spread but u won't find tech Mahindra or any other mahindra subsidiaries worldwide . Tata's overseas focus has been on JLR only, as its a premium brand and brings in great margins, but was going through bad patch. So it was better to focus resources in one place.
Now that JLR has stablized and Tata motors doing good in India, they would go internalnational soon.
And I dont think Tata needs Mahindra's goodwill for overseas expansion, as globally Tata group is much bigger brand....

Tata had once a huge global footprint with cars being sold in all continents of the world.
You can still find the OG Tata safari in Canada, Italy and certain other European countries.
Even Bolt and Zest were being sold in South Africa. You could still find Tata Xenon pick-ups moving around over there.
Finally, yes Tata has stopped selling cars worldwide, and I hope they get rid of their QA/QC niggles and once again go global.

Same bro same. Tata cars are good if you only drive in city roads because the Tata’s low power engines give good mileage at low rpm but when you drive on highway at moderately high speed the Tata cars feel uncomfortable and boring because their 3-cylinder engines aren’t smooth.
After the launch of XUV 700 my whole perception has changed about mahindra. #xuv700 the revolution 🤟
Currently Mahindra needs more Plant Capacity only.

TATA's tough build quality is indeed one of its strongest suits. TATA is better and much bigger than Mahindra in terms of Sales, Hit models, Business size etc. TATA sells Military vehicles, trucks, passenger vehicles, buses, construction equipment, while Mahindra sells Tractors and is selling trucks etc as well now but Tata has been selling for more than 7 decades. Tata Motors scored higher in 8 areas: Overall Rating, Culture and Values, Diversity and inclusion, Work-Life Balance, Senior Management, Compensation & Benefits, Career Opportunities and Recommended to be a friend. Proud of TATA❣
my father owned tata sumo gold cx 2013 model. it was a nice vehicle .
I am sure most of the people complaining about tatas after sales service dont even own one . Owner of 2019 Harrier and have faced couple of issues as it was the first batch however one thing that surpirsed me and was consistent was After sales service and i think it has improved a lot..
Yaha pe service centre ki baat nhi ho Rahi😂. Baat ho Rahi he k aaj Mahindra kese aage nikal gayi tata se globally in passenger vehicle sector. Raha service ka toh tata aaj bhi badnam he due to its poor after sales service as per it's customers feedback.

Even I love Mahindra cars but service to unki Tata se bhi bekaar hain and I have seen it with my friends who own it. Aur mujhe tata se nafrat thi before buying harrier aur isliye lene se pehle maine Hexa aur Nexon owners se service ka feedback lekar hi book kiya tha. I agree ki Toyota ya Maruti jaise service nahi hain hain but Mahindra jitna bura bhi nahi hain.
Part of the reason is Tata is present globally in many other sectors like IT, steel etc. Mahindra only has mechanical engineering products to sell

My cousin brother is in TATA MOTORS (one of the senior designing engineer)& He was saying that Because of Tatas caring Nature towards its employees,the Employees are very Lazy as they know that they won't be fired for their inefficiency/Lazyness

This is the main reason why XUV700 and Scorpio-N are started becoming popular in other countries.

Mahindra makes its own engines,while most of manufacturers don't and shares engines, mahindra has much better premium design, features, after sales plus equal safety & quality. Tata is overrated.

It is the right time to go global by TATA. Car prices have sky rocketed in some Western countries, and many are tired with waiting period and zero negotiations.
Current Harrier and Safari are best in class and par with most western and eastern offerings. Will be a hit if correctly executed with unlimited kms warranty.
I know Tata should go more Global, but I wouldn't recommend it. See they already have lots of fit and finish issues, engine and transmission issues and I think they should strictly focus on that first and get the Indian Market a right and proper well packed product & then they should think about Global expansion. Don't get me wrong Tata still have one of the best safer cars in Indian Market and they are upgrading themselves, but if they want to touch markets like Australia, New Zealand, America or Europe they need that level of quality that they still don't have it.

Tata has a self respect,it bought scrap of other nation to prove it.

Tata has self respect? If it is so, then why dont they design their own engines for their cars and trucks? They still use fiat diesel engine for cars and cummins engine for trucks.
And harrier and safari platform are not designed by indian tata engineers. They are designed by british JLR engineers. So much for their self respect.

In Australia and New Zealand, Mahindra is seen no ware except remote farms. Big issue with Mahindra is tragic after sales support. And very low resale value. Engines are subs par in power and torque even compared to Chinese vehicles.

We have both TATA and Mahindra. The big difference is how your treated as a customer. TATA treats its customers so poorly during the whole process of booking and getting the car delivered. It's nothing short of a nightmare. Mahindra on the other hand treated us so well during the whole process. In terms of service too. TATA is so poor in listening and getting the niggles rectified. I wish TATA gives dealership to people who are actually passionate about cars.

Tata with its new range of PV (Nexon, Harrier etc) has evolved and has gained huge acceptance and popularity in India. Tata's PV vehicles are among the best in the country and reasonably priced too.

It's all a matter of time. Tata has already invested in Jaguar/Land Rover. It will take them more time to introduce their own Tata vehicles to other countries if they even choose to do so.
One more reason is that Tata killed their ladder on frame vehicles.

The main reason is mahindra is more reliable then tata ,better services and better resale value
with due respect to tata group and ratan tata i would want to say that tata has always been in an experimental phase when it comes to passenger cars and it still is, it has failed earlier and even now only time will tell how the current line up will perform in near future. actually tata is a jack of all trades while mahindra have proved to be a master when it comes to tractor and real suvs. my brother who is a marine engineer and travel to different countries tells me how foreigners are loving mahindra cars .
i was born in a remote village of uttarakhand and right from childhood i have seen the capabilities of mahindra jeep ,pickup trucks and bolero in remote areas of hilly states no other vehicle can match the reliability and capability of these vehicles. coming to tata being a big brand still have 1 petrol engine that is the 1.2 lt 3 cylinder yes there is a turbo charged too and then there is the 1.5 lt diesel engine .. the diesel engine is safari and harrier are sourced from fiat and the automatic transmission from hyundia. also safari and harrier were never sent for crash test ratings reason being they wont score well because of the sourced diesel engine. tata still dont have a gdi while mahindra uses gdi in both petrol and diesel which makes there care more fun to drive and powerful. just comare a nexon with a xuv300 and try to find why xuv300 delivers more power and torque.
