- Hello everyone!! Thank you all so so much for 51K!! Especially since everyone has been so patient with me. I do seriously apologize for taking such a huge break without notice or any updates. However, I am doing much better than I was 8 months ago. I think you all deserve a great Part 5 to the Villain Deku Series. Due to that, this Part will be way more animated compared to all of my other animations :). Times have been tuff for me but I am doing better. Thank you so freaking much to those who commented or reached out to me in any shape or form to see if I was okay. It truly means so much to me :)
So please enjoy this animatic as much as I’ve enjoyed making it :))
Story (just in case you didn’t understand)
DON’T READ TILL YOU WATCH THE ANIMATIC
After Bakugou’s Interaction with Deku. During his recovery, he ponders over what has been said throughout the fight and whether or not he should trust Deku’s words. Bakugou finally gets the courage to find out what Deku truly meant behind his words. Meanwhile, Deku, Toga, and Twice were sent to the Hassaikai on the behalf of Shigaraki and Overhaul’s “partnership”. While talking with Overhaul, the three of them (Deku, Toga, and Twice) were interrogated which you finally find out Deku’s actual quirk in my AU (Quirk: Toxic Blaze, how this works is that there is a certain chemical, specifically Boric Acid and methanol, are combined to make green fire. In Deku’s case, He has overwhelmingly toxic fire due to those chemicals combined at large portions. Deku can control how much toxic he wants (Which is the black smoke) but he still struggles on controlling it.)
Nighteye’s Agency as well as FatGum’s, Ryukyu’s, and others team up to the Hassaikai’s base to undercover overhaul’s “child” after Mirio discovered her himself while observing overhaul. They force their way within the base, only to find themselves face to face with one of the internships, Villain Deku. Deku attacks first while the others standby as they take their stance within the fire. Mirio and Aizawa team up to take down Deku. However, Deku is smarter than them and reads their moves as if they were a book. Taking the lead, Deku makes a grand-finale attack as he retreats to where Toga and Twice are.
Toga, Twice, and Deku come up with a plan to betray Chisaki out of sheer pettiness. Taking action, they call out one of the Hassaikai members and pissed them off to where they caused a rampage for the heroes. The walls twist, bend, and shake due to that member’s anger. While the other heroes were struggling to keep their balance, Mirio makes his way through the walls and finally spots Eri with overhaul and one of his partners. Kirishima and Fatgum make their way into their battle with Rappa to save Aizawa. Tamaki Amajiki also makes his way into his battle in order for the other heroes to make their way further within the maze.
Mirio stands face to face with the Hassaikai boss, Kai Chisaki. Mirio makes his way and steals Eri from Chisaki’s friend’s arms, which irritated Overhaul causing him to cause the room to become a huge mess from his quirk. The battle prolongs to where Mirio had no choice but to drop Eri and tells her to run. While Eri runs blindly, she runs straight into Deku. Deku sees himself in her so, in return, he helps her stand back up. After Eri trusts Deku, Izuku carries her as he walks to the battle scene between Mirio and Overhaul.
Eri notices how badly hurt Mirio got while she was away, triggering her to activate her quirk against her will. Midoriya feels the pain of her quirk. Since he can’t destroy himself like he can do in the canon series, he’s forced to give it to someone who looks like they needed it, Mirio. After Deku explains her quirk to Mirio, Togata agrees and teams up with Deku. They both battle Chisaki together for quite a while till Toga looks for Deku so they can retreat and head back to Shigaraki. Deku leaves Eri and Mirio to finish off Overhaul alone as he runs away with Toga & Twice, and with that Part 5 ends.

@@rage7609 Well sad part is mirio is gonna die due to old age. Basically if you have a quirk, you're quirk is basically slowly and steadily getting stronger when you age. But when OFA is introduced to a person with a quirk it makes it really really strong and you have OFA boosts as well. What this basically does is that you may seem young but your body will age really rapidly to keep up with OFA and your own quirk. In the manga it's mentioned that the best users of OFA are quirk less users since they don't have anything to begin with. The idea of a glass with water is used. When you have a quirk you're a half full cup, but when OFA is introduced the cup keeps filling and filling until it starts to overflow. This predicament caused the death of some OFA users if they just went out to train instead of fighting AFO. It's why All Might and Deku and the strongest. Sad to see Lemillion going to end up dying.

Damn! You weren't kidding when you said you made this more animated. It all looks and moves amazingly! You're version of Villain Deku is easily imo the best version. He's evil, but not heartless and he doesn't keep all of his personality since having him get flustered or stutter. Wouldn't make any sense if Deku was a villain. Finally, I'm also glad that we now have a name for his quirk. Toxic blaze. But, how toxic is it and how much more powerful will it become when it awakens in My Millain Academia?

This is easily the most accurate description of Villain Deku. Mirio gets One For All because Deku Doesn’t. Eri... shouldn’t get saved but I can see Izuku helping fight Overhaul due to his reaction to his friend getting torn to bits. But Eri likely isn’t saved, Todoroki never uses his Fire, Mirio gets One For All, and Uraraka possibly dies at the entrance exams.
Uraraka wouldn't die, UA would never allow one of there robots to kill a 15 year old. She likely wouldn't have passed though.
@@owenlewis9261 True, it is seen that they monitor everything, it is most likely that in an emergency the robot is deactivated or has some programming so that it does not attack injured people
This is absolutely glorious, I also love the fact that his quirk is called Toxic Blaze- with Bakugo's quirk being firey explosions, having Deku with a toxic green fire quirk is soo frickin cool. You're amazing, never change 😁

I think that since Mirio has yellow lightning now, similar to how normal Deku has green lightning, mirio is the new user of OFA, which makes a lot of sense.

Some things that I love is that in a few scenes you see Deku the villain because his eyes have a look of hatred. But there’s a few moments where you can see Izuku, the kid who got wound up into villainy. The kid who only wanted to be a hero. All of that is shown in some facial expressions. That’s what I love about art

You’ve outdone yourself again! I don’t know how you keep doing that, but I’m thrilled to get to see it!
It’s animated SO WELL! Every time Mirio moves, you can really sense his speed. That moment when Izuku’s double melts apart, and when he shoots Toxic Blaze and his pupils shrink, and when Chisaki gets itchy, and when the walls start twisting, and ESPECIALLY when Izuku gets a running start and slams down green flames in the middle of the heroes’ group (I don’t know how you managed that camera angle to swing and follow him like that without tearing your hair out), it all looks so slick that literally the only negative is how it suddenly makes other animatics feel lesser by comparison.
And when it’s a static shot, it looks great there too; I adore the sad smile Izuku gives Eri (he still has his soft features, being a villain didn’t make him less babyfaced), and the image of Izuku beside his pals and giving the thumbs down is 100/10, instant screenshot.
I’d never heard this song before, but it fits PERFECTLY! Which I will now go into WAY too much detail about:
“I wish there was another way out” = Mimic shifting the walls of the hideout into an incomprehensible maze, Katsuki seeking a better solution to his dilemma, Izuku fighting the lie that everyone told him his entire life (that there is only one path for him, even if he wished for another one out).
“Voices won’t go away, they stay for days and days, they say some awful things, ways to make you fade away” = completely encapsulates Katsuki’s mindset at this point, focusing on what Izuku told him and his own guilt, all the awful things he used to say and how the vision of himself he’d always held is fading away, not entirely dissimilar to how Izuku ‘faded away’ a year and a half prior.
“We’re just here alone, I better find you first” = he’s had enough self-pity and is determined to answer the questions in his head before Izuku can go past a point of no return, not merely because he feels responsible, but also because he and Izuku are both alone together (meaning that they’re the only ones with the intimate knowledge of everything that went on between them over the years, but even in that, they’re isolated from each other because Katsuki is still playing without a full deck of cards on the subject.)
“You better run, better run, better run, yeah, I’m coming after you when you’re sleeping at night, yeah there’s nothing you can do, there’s no place you can hide ‘cause I’m coming after you” = how it relates to Katsuki is self-evident, but it clearly also fits with how the Dekusquad (which in this AU consists of League members) views the Shie Hassaikai. Sure, Shiggy not wanting to be usurped is already a good enough reason for the League to act against Chisaki, (particularly Izuku, given that Shiggy is basically the adoptive son of the man that saved his life and gave him a quirk, and they likely spent the last year and a half living together; unless AFO separated them for whatever reason), but you could easily spot other reasons for them having a vendetta.
Maybe Twice is mad about being tricked. Maybe Toga is holding a grudge over Magne’s death. Maybe Izuku thinks Chisaki is giving villains a bad name because he’s only doing what he does for greed; he had everything and went down the wrong path anyway, he wasn’t persecuted like the League members were.
But honestly? I think all of that is secondary. Seems to me that the main reason Twice, Toga and Izuku have it out for Chisaki is because… they don’t like him. Simple as that. They think he’s a jerk and they’re done feeling like they need to explain themselves or their actions to anybody. After all, nobody cared to listen to them before they were villains, so why would anyone bother trying to understand them now? The AU-Dekusquad is through asking permission, end of story.
”No one cares less than me” = Izuku is still behaving like Izuku, he just happens to have blown off any notion of caring what people think of him. Society already decided what they thought of him, that he was a useless Deku, and they were all wrong, every single one of them, even All Might, so trying to please them is pointless.
Speaking of which, his quirk being Toxic Blaze is such a freaking good idea as a metaphor for Izuku’s worldview having come about from internalizing the toxicity of his environment and the man that gave him his ‘new’ quirk to begin with. (I only put quotations around ‘new’ because Izuku’s had the quirk for a while at this point). I question whether it’s even leftover resentment at this point, maybe he’s just good at hiding that, but it almost feels more like outright acceptance of his warped views for him be shooting that toxicity back out, as if to tell the world ‘oh, you don’t think I can do anything? Huh. Well, you’re gonna regret thinking that, but good luck!’
So often, people have villain!Deku cursing up a storm or being really cruel or acting as an author insert to say quirk retorts and it feels super out of character. Whereas your version is super believable. He’s still Izuku, he’s still writing in his dorky notebooks, he can still be easily startled- honestly, the visual at 1:19 is probably my favorite frame of any of these videos because it sums up this AU’s Izuku’s perspective so well. It’s very punk rock, y’know? ‘Fight the power!’ and all that stuff. That’s the kind of spirited sass I could genuinely imagine him exhibiting.
“These voices won’t let you leave, got you down on bended knee, what should my next weapon be” = Twice’s condition, of course, but there’s an argument to be made that it’s also society demanding all three of them somehow stop being themselves. Either way, they’re in it together and have one another’s backs.
Seeing that trio together, (on top of it being AWESOME), has me curious as to how Izuku feels about his friends’ crimes. Twice has a history of armed robbery, but we’re never given any indication he’s a murderer, so I can absolutely see Izuku being alright with all that, especially since he himself is a wanted criminal.
Toga, on the other hand, has killed and exsanguinated at least a few people prior to when we meet her, yet Izuku is still close with her here. It makes me wonder whether he’s simply willing to cut her a tremendous amount of slack because she’s one of the only people who don’t treat him like garbage, or if there are details about her crimes that we aren’t privy to as the audience, details that might paint her actions in a more understandable (albeit still villainous) light.
For example: she was already homeless and wandering around the bad parts of town by the time she committed her first murder, right? And because draining victims of their blood takes a while (before she got her syringe gear), I’d imagine she needed total privacy with the person in order not to get caught, right? Well, put those two aspects together and then it seems fairly clear the type of guy she would’ve had the best chance of killing would be sleazeball creeps ready and willing to take advantage of a ‘helpless’ 15-16 year old schoolgirl. Not that she would have chosen them specifically for moral reasons, they would have just been the easiest marks by far.
I’m not saying that would make her right (assuming it even happened that way), ‘cause I think it’s fair to say that baiting someone into getting murdered and then drinking all their blood is generally a big no-no either way, but, like, if you’re gonna kill somebody, it sure seems a lot easier to excuse doing it to a person like that than it would be to justify murdering some random innocent bystander, so, I can see Izuku being able to empathize with her position in that respect, hypothetically. (Obviously I don’t expect this series to go into this stuff, that would be crazy, but it’s interesting to think about, if for no other reason than because the characterization has been spot-on thus far).
“Break you down, I’ll put it back together again” = obviously referring to Chisaki and Eri, however, it’s also Izuku doing for Eri what nobody ever did for him, regardless of the consequences.
In conclusion: may Rocky rest in piece, I’m glad you took time for your health, and this was fantastic.
I’m not sure where it’ll go next since I never even expected it to go past the fight at Kamino, so this is uncharted waters for any theories I might have! Will the festival be broken into? Will Izuku be with the League fighting gigantomachia? How far into the series will this AU even go? Who knows! Really, there is only one question that truly matters…
… Did Twice slap Izuku’s butt at the end there?

To answer some questions (that I can answer without spoiling), deku sees toga as a friend and overlooks her past killings. Since this series is canon to the actual series, her original backstory stays the same with horikoshi’s design! Deku doesn’t mind since he already knows the consequences of joining a villain group so he knows what to expect. He’s also all for changing society for the better so for people like himself, toga, Shigaraki, twice, and more can live freely without the hate of being “outcasts” of society due to their quirks/pasts.
I loved how you pointed out deku’s quirk! Even I didn’t think of that!! I originally thought that it would be cool to give him flames and make them toxic! (Plus I wanted his quirk to be different from the Todoroki family so there isn’t confusion)
I’m so happy you also pointed out deku’s actions throughout my series and how “he doesn’t cause a storm”! I honestly try my best to keep it as realistic as possible so that it moves smoothly!
Also thank you so much for taking notice towards the tiny details like overhaul’s skin!
To answer for how far the AU will go, I’m still writing on how the ending will end (I have like two endings planned but idk what to choose so I’m still deciding), so far I have about 12+ parts planned! So look forward to that! Haha I’ll be following the manga if I catch up to the anime! So if you read the manga, consider that some of the topics will be mentioned and considered throughout the AU!

Rather question how Shigaraki and Deku get along? I cool see them not getting along well, as Shigaraki doesn't have the social skills to befriend anyone and Izuku mo see t likely is past taking shit from anyone.

god i LOVE LOVE LOVE your animated series!! this part was such a good addition, simply showing us that izuku isn't truly evil. he was just hurt too much... i can't even say how much else this part means, it's all there, the trio of izu, toga and jin supporting each other like this, being /friends/ before anything else and izuku trusting togata to take good care of little eri that reminded him of himself just a little earlier.

My prediction is that Izuku may do another heroic thing like he did with Eri, and this gets the League to give him a side eye, and the heroes to. I think Izuku will be a hero in the end
