callout post for everyone reading this: the reason we all like this video/this concept so much is because the idea of being loved unconditionally no matter what mistakes you make is something we all want desperately but don’t have, so we project onto villain deku because we’re all sad and lonely and desperate for someone to care about us, in spite of our flaws (because we’re all really self deprecating and don’t see ourselves as worthy of love). oh and we’re touch starved too lol
I see a lot of comments talking about how they cry at the "truck to take mommy away" part, but the bit that always hits me harder is when she start talking about how she knows she's failed him despite her genuine best efforts.

Well, I cried at the end when they were just crying into each others arms. And when the "he's just a kid" came on it made me sob even harder... I really want to see this as a story.
"He's just a kid ..." That phrase may sound bad to someone, but All Might is right. Izuku despite being a villain in this universe, is still a child, one who was forced to be what he never wanted.

And think about it... for whatever reason deku became a villain, which was most likely due to that feeling of inferiority had overcame him instead of him overcoming it. He would have made choices that in the end were not even choices because of the life he was given before he could do anything to change his life in the long run, he “chose” to find an easier and more ‘realistic’ option than becoming a hero as a powerless person.... that’s just how I see villain deku as a whole I guess, wow I went OFF lol

A hero is there to protect people from and defeat the villains, so becoming a villain or criminal is basically the same as him saying "im nothing like a hero, I cant be a hero, so I wont be a hero". Hes basically becoming something he didnt want to become because he cant be what he does want to become.
The fact that she said '' Your mom isn't going anywhere'' even though he is in prison she still said she wasn't going to turn her back on him no matter how much he messes up. Just the thought of that makes me cry.

That was what hit me hardest. My parents divorced when I was young and my dad just left 90% of his stuff here (family heirlooms to loved and good quality jackets). I don't remember the last time we were all together as a family.

this perspective of villain deku brings me so much happiness. this shows that villain deku isn't just some guy who gave up on his dream because everyone around him told him he'd never achieve it, no. villain deku is a *kid* who lost sight of what he really dreamed of becoming because he lost faith in himself and, in turn, fell down the wrong path due to those around him never taking him seriously. because no one believed in him. this shows that villain deku still has the embers of bravery and heroicness inside his soul somewhere, and that he still has time to turn around and grab ahold of the dream he once left behind. this shows that deku was never a *villain* per se, but a hero who has experienced the darkness of those he will defeat in the future- and of those he will save in the future. sorry for the rant, but honestly this had me so in my feels.

It must have felt so nice to like, after getting arrested and probably losing everyone, Izuku's *MOM* is there, and she's just so gentle and so understanding, and knows that Izuku doesn't want to be a terrible person, that's just how the story went.
There's another person who did an animation set to I have questions where deku kills all might. And I can just imagine bakugo singing that one part angry hurt and questioning his existence as deku of all people killed his idol.
Okay, so Evan’s mom sang that to him when he told her all his lies... but the fact that Izuku’s mom tell him that she is staying with him after finding out her beloved son is a Villain who just got caught... Shows that no matter what, a mom won’t leave or hate her children
I really appreciate Deku breaking when his mother brings up his past, when he was so innocent and happy. Most au’s with Deku being a villain have him completely shut out with no emotion. If this happened in those other situations, I’m sure they’d think Deku would sit at the table as his mother cried, rolling his eyes. But I truly do think if a Deku was a villain, he’d still have that soft spot for his mother. Thank you for being so amazing!

This made me cry because at a young age my parents fought a lot. Then my dad left me and my mom I still visited him and loved him dearly, but it was hard. Eventually after a few years him and my mom reconnected amd he moved back in with us. The 1st reason I cried is becuase I rembered how happy and sad I was during that time. The 2nd reason I cried is because I realized for other people, there mother or father never came back. And I realized how privelaged I was. Thank you for making this!♡
Inko and Izuku's relationship is so underrated. I just know... that Izuku talks to his mom and tells her about almost everything. I can just see them having that kind of tight relationship.
So..Allmights presence is really telling here. This is because it means either A. Allmight met Inko through chance Or b (more likely) 1 for All was already passed down to Midoriya when we became a villain.
My guess is, this is Deku after he was rejected and was later picked up by the League at some point and tricked into joining their side. Sometime later, through chance Bakugo was around when the league clashed with UA and was able to give information about Deku. Through this, being one of like 5 people that new about his condition All Might recognized Deku instantly and felt regret for crushing Deku's dream and pushing him down the path of Evil. Through there, instead of the Rescue Bakugo mission its a rescue Shinso mission where the events end up roughly the same but Deku is captured while the other villains escaped. Since Deku probably has no real crimes pointed against him save for breaking and entering UA and association with the League of Villains, he could be granted community service or maybe even a clean slate if he comes clean about the League's goals and members. So in a last ditch effort, they get Deku's mother to talk to him as she's probably the only person he'd listen to as the #1 Hero destroyed his dream and all of his closest friends from grade school crushed his self-esteem and since his father is working in the USA at the moment, he has no one but his mom so she's the only one who'd be able to make him stop and change before he does something that can't be forgiven.

I really appreciate Deku breaking when his mother brings up his past, when he was so innocent and happy. Most au’s with Deku being a villain have him completely shut out with no emotion. If this happened in those other situations, I’m sure they’d think Deku would sit at the table as his mother cried, rolling his eyes. But I truly do think if a Deku was a villain, he’d still have that soft spot for his mother. Thank you for being so amazing!

This made me cry because at a young age my parents fought a lot. Then my dad left me and my mom I still visited him and loved him dearly, but it was hard. Eventually after a few years him and my mom reconnected amd he moved back in with us. The 1st reason I cried is becuase I rembered how happy and sad I was during that time. The 2nd reason I cried is because I realized for other people, there mother or father never came back. And I realized how privelaged I was. Thank you for making this!♡

Inko and Izuku's relationship is so underrated. I just know... that Izuku talks to his mom and tells her about almost everything.
I can just see them having that kind of tight relationship.

A. Allmight met Inko through chance
Or b (more likely) 1 for All was already passed down to Midoriya when we became a villain.
Or he became a villain after all might told him he couldn't be Hero, and He feels guilty.

My guess is, this is Deku after he was rejected and was later picked up by the League at some point and tricked into joining their side. Sometime later, through chance Bakugo was around when the league clashed with UA and was able to give information about Deku. Through this, being one of like 5 people that new about his condition All Might recognized Deku instantly and felt regret for crushing Deku's dream and pushing him down the path of Evil.
Through there, instead of the Rescue Bakugo mission its a rescue Shinso mission where the events end up roughly the same but Deku is captured while the other villains escaped. Since Deku probably has no real crimes pointed against him save for breaking and entering UA and association with the League of Villains, he could be granted community service or maybe even a clean slate if he comes clean about the League's goals and members.
So in a last ditch effort, they get Deku's mother to talk to him as she's probably the only person he'd listen to as the #1 Hero destroyed his dream and all of his closest friends from grade school crushed his self-esteem and since his father is working in the USA at the moment, he has no one but his mom so she's the only one who'd be able to make him stop and change before he does something that can't be forgiven.
