I just realized (or maybe imagined) the “and I’ll raise you like a phoenix” part could be an allusion to how Hawks is training Tokoyami. Pure genius

The fight choreography is STUNNING and when Hawks let loose his feathers in the giant circle it almost reminded me of a biblical Angel
And I had no idea how much I was missing out on Hawks and Tokoyami content the handshake was so cute

As far as I'm concerned, this is canon-- better than canon in all honesty! Everything about this is next level.
Also, Hawks's move starting at 2:00 do be lookin' very much like Noctis's Armiger in FF15 and I am HERE for it. Also ALSO, the animation of when Hawks twirls his last tiny feather does something to my brain. It's like a burst of dopamine every time I watch it.

Okay...wow??!! 😳 I can't begin to explain how cool this is. I love the fight choreography, and the way you take into consideration their quirks and fighting style. Not to mention the way you draw them, and the expressions on their faces and in their body language. I also like how it felt like just as much of a fight as it did playful banter. I always wanted a little more exploration into Tokoyami's time with Hawks and this was EVERYTHING I WANTED. Also, the impeccable ways you have Hawks utilizing his quirk specifically the sequence starting at 1:54 is GOLD Neal your MIND
Can we all just appreciate the CUTE handshake that Tokoyami and Hawks do throughout the animation like that was SO CUTE!
And thus, my war paint has been put on, and the battle has been won. With the power of fire and darkness, Dabi has been defeated.

Holy heck. I loved the Oops animatic so much, but this is just pure, unbridled talent! The timing is amazing, the fighting is on actual show levels, the art is *chef's kiss*, and it features my two favorite characters! Hawks was downright sexy in Oops, but here he's almost feral and even sexier?! Both characters are so true to the show (sorry anime only fan), and I just really love how playful Hawks is at first. If I could give you my firstborn in return for just 1% of your talent (which I'm sure took forever to master I don't want to downplay your achievements!) I would hand them over in a heartbeat. This is honestly one of the best animations I've seen on this platform, and just knowing there is more in store makes me weepy. Thank you so much for this blessed animation!

The Animation was absolutley stunning,breath taking if i am honest. I just adore the bond between Hawks and Tokoyami in this video and honestly the cockiness of Hawks and Dabi between the fight just made it all a bit more better than before!

OKAY- IVE NOT SEEN ANYONE COMMENT ON THIS AND IT IS A CRIME:
Hawks uses RED in his attacks, thats his color because in the anime his wings are red. Dabi uses BLUE because his fire in the anime is blue. Tokoyami and dark shadow stay in black and white because dark shadow is black in the anime. The color coordination by character is so cool for no reason and such a cool little bit of attention to detail.
i do not know how to express how much i like this. i like this so much. i sent it to my two best friends, im screaming and hyperventilating- this may not be normal but im a little autistic and Fall Out Boy and BnHA are both hyperfixations, literally screaming this is my new religion this is everything
