So according to the video footage..for 100 gallon = 1 gram of Potassium permanganate. For 150 gallon = 1.5 grams. For 50 gallons = 0.5 grams. And if we canister filter and not sump, then directly in the tank?. And how much hydrogen peroxide per 100 gallons of water. Your footage is always reliable and compact with knowledge based information. Thank you sir.

For home hobbyists, you can just use hydrogen peroxide. It is an oxidizer like PP but a bit safer and doesn't stain. I dose 5ml/10 gallons. You can kill fish if you dose too much.

Do you feed them for this treatment ?
When you add hydrogen peroxide to water that to deactivate the ppm would this kill your beneficial bacteria in sponge filter?

am really new to this hobby and your topic is really informative to us newbies. I actually had a flowerhorn but died few months ago due to fluke. I used liquid treatment like Prazi Gold but found no positive result from it and he got weaker and weaker as day went by and i feel so helpless about it. Ill gonna treat my whole tank including my canister filter with PP to kill those nasty parasites before I set it up again. Thank you Sir :)

I had successfully got to the free swimmers stage and suddenly lost all of them in one night. Ammonia spike because I did the PP treatment and it killed my nitrogen cycle. Tough lesson but take the foam sponge filter and anything your using for biomedia out during the treatment.

22 grams PP to 1 liter of water.

So if you use hydrogen peroxide do you still do water change or just leave hydrogen peroxide and same water in there ? Thx

Hydrogen peroxide removes all remnants of the brown after the water changes

hi Gabe! First... thanks for all your great instructional videos... I really appreciate your enthusiasm and your imparting your knowledge to us novices... I started with Discus and aquarium about 2 months ago... have done everything I can as a home hobbyist to create the water environment you stress is essential... have been able to get close with some of the parameters, although still a little way to go with conductivity... however, incredibly enough one of my pairs has laid its second eggs and a lot of them hatched... so they are now about 36 hours old... I saw this video last night... my breeding tank is about 18 gallons... I dont want to fry my fry of course... but is it worthwhile dosing them with a miniscule amount of PP in say even less a ratio than you have in this video with your big system? or is it too dangerous? thanks for any comment you can provide!

Make a stock solution. 500ml and 11g PP. Use 1 CC per 5 gallons.
