A very rational intrepretation of events involving Russia, India and China. However, one cannot agree that the risk of a nuclear exchange between Russia and NATO is very much as it was during the Cold War. NATO has continuously increased the confrontation and escalation with Russia and, certainly, so has the risk of nuclear exchange. It would be foolish for the US to respond directly to a tactical nuclear exchange in Europe by Russia. One needs to be reminded that Russia is a peer nuclear power of the US of existential proportions and the US would be insane to risk a strategic nuclear exchange. It's just a losing game of brinkmanship by the US and NATO, whether conventional or otherwise, given that it is occurring far from the US mainland. The greatest stupidity must rest with the likes of Poland, the Baltics, Finland and Sweden to believe that NATO can provide security. The best would be for the frontline States to seek accomodation with Russia, as Russia needs it too, to ensure her territorial integrity and survival as a State. NATO is just an American ruse for World domination by the US, liberty and democracy be damned.
The weight & responsibility of American hegemony stands on the shoulders of USA but where does that wealth go when evidently not spent on the USA development? Risk of big nukes is related to the chances of a direct engagement between USA & Russia which she says is low, probably because there are plenty of other proxies & battlefields to use and also because USA is most likely to leave EU with a hot running war to manage (ie EU will take the role of zelensky, regularly begging USA for arms & ammunition). Uncle Sam is disciplining & sabotaging EU in every hybrid warfare way, seemingly to use it as a battering ram against Russia; to maintain Nato rather hlthan the Russian led Eurasian security framework).
How can the EU survive? Will EU get it's joint army ready? Will EU re-industrialise? With what energy source? Will EU get out from under Uncle Sam? & become one of the poles? What might EU-India relationship look like?
just an observation, austria and germany have lots in common and yet they"re very different, it is very evident between the army men giving guard of honour .
People, I badly need your advice. I have an LLM in maritime law and I am interested in geopolitics. I am about 35 and I want to switch my career from law to geopolitics. Where should I start and I would like to work in think tanks like stratnews global to enrich my experience.
Neutrality is a dirty word in American diplomacy. Even Nazi Germany accepted and respected neutrality but Americans don't, and similarly the Europeans.
