@あっちこっち this game looks pretty far in development. I’d say it’s ready to roll out within a year. That’s just my opinion as an actual game designer. The most challenging and time consuming part of game design is the combat and they’ve completed it. Everything else can be done very very quickly.
I’ve played MMOs since early 2000s and have seen many come and go. The one thing that comes to mind watching this trailer looks like a Next Generation Level MMO game and it looks stunningly incredible for what we know right now.
key word " looks " . They can hide some aspects from the trailer. I haven't seen idle to run animation transition. All monsters are casting some spell and then scene is changed.

Checklist for quality in case any dev decides to read this. - 60 fps MINIMUM on all reasonable platforms. - No game breaking bugs on release, game must appear polished. Delay release if you need to. - Gameplay first: No obsene time gating please. - Lastly, microtransactions must be cosmetic only, and there should STILL be amazing looking armor and weapons obtainable in game without currency as well, the best stuff shouldn't be on the shop. Plenty of people will still spend butt loads of cash on cosmetics anyway. If you can deliver what the trailer showed with the above included its an instant 10/10. Don't waste this potential.
Well made trailer, visuals/music 11/10 Hope we hear more news soon, especially an alpha/beta test would be nice! So glad this is coming out Globally and multi-platform!
This needs the most minimal HUD possible so that the gameplay has the same feel as what we just saw in the cinematic. Then this will really be 10/10. Easy to look at BDO trailers/new character reveals for example and think wow that looks amazing. But then in game the HUD is blocking everything
Gameplay? It's 90% obvious cinematic and the 10% that could actually be gameplay is only 2 second long clips with no UI. I for one don't trust it at all, especially after reading the bit about freezing time in the description. How exactly does freezing time work in a multiplayer online game?
@@nordy259 If a player freezes time, the other players in the vicinity (area of effect) will simply be affected by it, while those outside the area of effect will not be affected. It's probably a group-wide cooldown as well, rather than player specific. To be sure, both what you and I are saying are 100% speculation, and we'll see hard facts soon enough from the game itself being released, or it may never be released.

It's not like all the legacy studios are making any good games now especially when it comes to MMOs. The future seems to be coming from startup studios. At least they want to do something different.
Let hope they implement an impressive amount of character customization, so that we all get to live out our best dreams and feel unique in the way our characters look. Don’t be afraid to let the gamers create the look and feel of a class instead of them having to fit a certain mold of generic ideas. Looking forward to this game! Keep up the good work.
That is what I am hoping too. That there are more job classes and characters. I think the only Korean MMORPG that had tons of different job classes, was probably Ragnarok Online and Tree of Savior. I think Tree of Savior has the most different job classes out of any RPG to date right now. But if this game can deliver a good amount of different job classes while keeping their combat and graphics intact. Then it will be perfect.
Just imagine a game like this on hardcore servers like we currently have with classic wow. That would be hands down the most immersive thing ever. Praying the game will be as good as the trailers 🙏

About the world feeling dangerous, like every adventure and every quest feeling important, where every time you go out to do a task there is a risk of your character actually dying. Obviously this doesn't fit with a game just trying to be fun and light, but risk gives your adventures in a game meaning. It is the difference between saving in front of every decision or fight in a game in case something goes wrong and only having one save where you have to live with the consequences if something goes wrong. Some people just like consequences in a game, like in rimworld for example.
Looking great! The sounds, the sound effects, the music, the visuals, the scale - it all has great synergy so far. Looking forward to seeing and learning more!

This is what a gameplay trailer should be. Little to no bs throughout the whole thing and no unnecessasrily loud audio put over it. I love how u can hear and see the impact of the attacks, it can be a bit fast and flashy but not too much. They showcased both visuals and combat either on their own or together, while also giving a pretty good idea of the types of battles the player would experience by using a wide range of different enemy types, as well as locations. From cramped areas to dungeon rooms, wide fields and boss domains. 9.5/10 trailer in my book for sure
Here's a nightmare case, when you finally play the game and it looks and plays nothing like the trailer. Hopefully that isn't the case but it would be funny.
The trailer shows nothing more than characters in a world that are fighting. There is no further information about the game in the trailer. Except for what it's "supposed" to look like and how to fight. That's it... And do you think that’s good too? Well if THAT is your idea of trailers, that's a little sad. A trailer should show more than just the world and the combat system. But maybe that's enough for you... And the reason why that is? Maybe they couldn't present much more at the time. And if that's the case, should they do it already? Well... to me it smells like a rip-off of all "The Day Before" and "The Quinfall".
Plenty of variation in combat encounters. The spells/skills seem fun, without being overly flashy. Character models look good. Pretty graphics. Hope the time mechanic isn’t game breaking and that the writing will properly supports its use. Also hope the setting and its explorable/playable areas feel intentional, in design, structure and philosophy.

If not its just another Anthem Situation but Anthem on the other hand had years of hype build up etc and only a few idiots bought it. For the others it was a clownfest set to fail. But what i do see all day every day are shitty games here and there and everywhere. So if out of the fuckin blue some awesome looking game gives me a trailer where i can see actual gameplay and not only cg pre rendered cinematics I think it is at least promising. Three things I noticed other than it looking great. - Large +20 people (world) Boss fights ensure your FPS tanks. - It's a Korean developer which means their resources have resources. (and those resources have resources as well.) - Lost Ark was a well known and liked game for many years before it came to the West. What happened? People quit as soon as they realized you can only upgrade gear through a pity system. We will see how it goes but I can't remember the amount of times I thought: This time is going to be different!
Lost Ark definitely works well in the West too. Even without bots, you have 50k+ concurrent users. This is far from being bad, contrary to some people's beliefs... Well, because game does have a lot of quality, though it's sure some things are annoying.
I need to see more gameplay with the HUD and stuff. But MAN!!! That is a hell of trailer with a lot visual and combat goodness going on in there. Looking forward to your work you guys.
It is a huge plus that the combats are not too flashy, no over-the-top visual effects! I don't usually play MMORPGs, especially those shallow Korean ones, but to be honest this one got my attention, which says a lot.
It's the year 2029, Open Beta has finally come out and for 6 years we didn't realize there would be a cash shop for Coesmetics Only but the Cosmetics happen to give you increased leveling speed and multipliers.
I’m not going to get super hyped and over inflate my own expectations but we have needed a game like this for so long. I really do hope this ends up being an amazing game
Yes... YES ! The combat is almost feels "souls-like", although a bit more "actiony" and more flashy. But I don't mind, it is certainly looking better than Throne & Liberty. Cannot wait to try it.
What I find appealing aside from the fluid animations and stunning environment, is that the ground effects and player skills don't seem to dominate the view of what's happening during a team fight.
This trailer hits all the right spots and I like the Dark Souls-esque look to the game. I'm curious how this game will run and how the UI will look, but it has definitely peaked my interest. Please let this game be exactly what it is and not die like most new MMO's that come out. 🙏🙏🙏
Let’s wait and see how the technical side looks for servers and overall performance. Not gonna be sold anymore on fancy graphics. Want to see in depth mechanics and how this game will be supported long term. We need good games that are on par with FFXIV if they claim to be MMOs.
I like that the enemies actually react to being hit. I feel that's been one of the things i didn't like about games like black desert and elder scrolls online, the enemies only recoil from certain attacks and tank the rest. I also never liked the hit detection those games have as well- where you can get hit by melee attacks despite them being clearly out of range. If this game can avoid those things, along with being great as a whole, it'll be fun.
Third-person action combat with precise hitbox? Beautiful open world? MMO? Hell yeah! If they can pull off that dragon like a guild wars 2 style world boss with this level of graphics, then this is gonna be a technical miracle.
It's look incredible, take your time , fix bugs , glitches and polish it, do whatever you want but launch it when the game is fully playable, i will wait for this masterpiece
What matters to me is whether the gameplay scales up where it's not a slog and a boring grind as you spam abilities on bullet sponges, and if there are playable instruments with midi importing. I wouldn't mind if the game looked significantly worse, but I really like that flat dragon design.

I'm not the best at researching shit but from what I can tell, Npixel is a South Korean based studio. It's first game title, Gran Saga, was received very well and helped Npixel become the fastest unicorn (some finance terminology, idfk) in the history of Korean Gaming. Gran Saga, from what I could tell, was a gacha game. That's already a red flag for most people. But the follow up, Gran Saga: Unlimited involves NFTs. A HUGE red flag. I might've missed some other games they made but these two stick out. In my personal opinion, I'm already very hesitent towards this game. I don't hate gacha (Hell, I love playing Genshin Impact even if it is a gacha), but I very much am not a fan NFTs/Web3/whatever the fuck mumbo-jumbo I'm being offered. Nor do I think building games around that whole system is a great idea. Alas, I know people are still gonna look forward to this game because it does admittedly look stunning. I just hope the studio does a good job. I think I speak for most people when I say we're tired of scummy, money-grabbing tactics and just wanna have fun playing a damn game.
It's gonna be crazy p2w and gameplay won't look like what's shown in the trailer. It amazes me people still believe a game will look like this after all the examples over just the last few years of a trailer being put out, gets crazy hype, and then fails because the studio couldn't deliver what they showed in the trailer. Also, NFTs? That's a hard no.
Hoping the chrono mechanics dont break immersion, and that the game isnt ruined by 'how much money can we milk this for?' instead of focusing on the game. Otherwise this is a stunning game design so far. Audio, graphics, world design, and classes all look amazing so far.
Where the hell did this game even come from? Honestly, it was one of the best reveals I've seen and it came out of nowhere. If the gameplay is as smooth as shown in this video, as an MMO fan, consider me hooked.
Everything I see makes me want to play this. Bosses look cool, the party of players looks so good together, animations are fine (I hope there’s a fancy Greatsword class with crazy animations)… I might dive deep into this one if it holds and meets the expectations we get from this trailer

It is a huge plus that the combats are not too flashy, no over-the-top visual effects! I don't usually play MMORPGs, especially those shallow Korean ones, but to be honest this one got my attention, which says a lot.
It's the year 2029, Open Beta has finally come out and for 6 years we didn't realize there would be a cash shop for Coesmetics Only but the Cosmetics happen to give you increased leveling speed and multipliers.
U forgot to add that cosmetics can be melted down into upgrade materials that will help u progress faster

Yes... YES ! The combat is almost feels "souls-like", although a bit more "actiony" and more flashy. But I don't mind, it is certainly looking better than Throne & Liberty. Cannot wait to try it.

What I find appealing aside from the fluid animations and stunning environment, is that the ground effects and player skills don't seem to dominate the view of what's happening during a team fight.

I like that the enemies actually react to being hit. I feel that's been one of the things i didn't like about games like black desert and elder scrolls online, the enemies only recoil from certain attacks and tank the rest. I also never liked the hit detection those games have as well- where you can get hit by melee attacks despite them being clearly out of range. If this game can avoid those things, along with being great as a whole, it'll be fun.

What matters to me is whether the gameplay scales up where it's not a slog and a boring grind as you spam abilities on bullet sponges, and if there are playable instruments with midi importing. I wouldn't mind if the game looked significantly worse, but I really like that flat dragon design.

I'm not the best at researching shit but from what I can tell, Npixel is a South Korean based studio. It's first game title, Gran Saga, was received very well and helped Npixel become the fastest unicorn (some finance terminology, idfk) in the history of Korean Gaming.
Gran Saga, from what I could tell, was a gacha game. That's already a red flag for most people. But the follow up, Gran Saga: Unlimited involves NFTs. A HUGE red flag. I might've missed some other games they made but these two stick out.
In my personal opinion, I'm already very hesitent towards this game. I don't hate gacha (Hell, I love playing Genshin Impact even if it is a gacha), but I very much am not a fan NFTs/Web3/whatever the fuck mumbo-jumbo I'm being offered. Nor do I think building games around that whole system is a great idea. Alas, I know people are still gonna look forward to this game because it does admittedly look stunning. I just hope the studio does a good job. I think I speak for most people when I say we're tired of scummy, money-grabbing tactics and just wanna have fun playing a damn game.
It's gonna be crazy p2w and gameplay won't look like what's shown in the trailer. It amazes me people still believe a game will look like this after all the examples over just the last few years of a trailer being put out, gets crazy hype, and then fails because the studio couldn't deliver what they showed in the trailer. Also, NFTs? That's a hard no.

Hoping the chrono mechanics dont break immersion, and that the game isnt ruined by 'how much money can we milk this for?' instead of focusing on the game. Otherwise this is a stunning game design so far. Audio, graphics, world design, and classes all look amazing so far.
