This gameplay looks insanely ambitious. It's definitely one of those "I'll believe it when it's released" kind of games.
imo the game will be good. not saying it will be a masterpiece to not overhype it, but it will be good. it's not being rushed to release so the developers take their time with the game.

If you are used to playing Black Desert Online, what they shown in this video is quite possible for them to make. They are really good in building the gameworld and the combat is awesome. What they suck horribly though, is the storytelling part and the quests.
They are known to deliver, but also known to implement a lot of short comings in order to deliver.

its the same people that made black desert so I would say its safe to say they will deliver, delays are amazing because that means they aren't rushing it and micro transactions will more than likely be in game, but strictly cosmetic if they stick to their business model, and cosmetics have never been something to complain about just don't buy them simple as that

This is honestly one of the best game trailers I've seen in a long while.
Great looking combat, destructible environments, crime and bounty system, horse taming, Assassin's Creed climbing, pole vaulting, Dragon's Dogma monster climbing, Zelda puzzles, flying, petting and holding animals, giant crabs, mechanical dragons, fishing.
If this is all real it'll be like a dream game come true!

but this is gonna end up being a flop
It's not just about whether it's a good game or not (at least for me anyway), it's more about how technically optimized it is. If you know anything about the state of gaming, especially on PC, then you know how poorly optimized games the last few months have been. Starfield, for example, has FSR upscaling defaulted in the settings. FSR is an upscaling method which basically lets you run the game at high settings while not suffering performance. Even with this setting enabled, the game still suffers on most systems that don't have the best of the best hardware. Other examples would be Revenant 2, Forspoken, and Jedi Survivor (on PC). While the gameplay aspect is very important, I feel like to really make an impact on gaming, it will have to run great on most modern systems.
Nothing but respect to the ambitious team behind this game. I hope its good and a huge success.

This trailer was insane,if they manage to deliver what is shown here well this game might just join the best games ever.Never expected the Black Desert devs to be able to pull something so great and I just realized this game was announced back in 2020 wow damn can't believe I missed it and looks like they're taking their time so I really hope they deliver,looks mad fun.

black desert was and still incredible at combat, though not on UI management and story.
I believe the combat in this game will be good but the story, world building, and the other essential features for open world genre are questionable, thankfully they've been developing this game for almost 5 years since it's first announcement came out, and i believe there was 2 years development behind that as well (so in total it'd be 7 years, more or less), i think they won't release the game on the same year as GTA VI otherwise it'd be completely masked out just like horizon zero dawn and forbidden west (by Zelda BoTW and Elden ring), it's probably either 2024 or 2026 (my prediction is mid 2024 since it's been a very long time, delaying the game will only makes the fan angrier, which some already are).
So the game is supposed to be good or finished by the time it comes out, i know cyberpunk exist and made this exact mistake but that's the fun of waiting video games release.
Well i think i wrote this too much because honestly i'm really onto this game, hopefully they will nailed this. Well see you later on 2024 and lets see how it ended

@@VSN-wb2ly to note, thankfully BDO is a game where none of that can matter to you for you to find something to do, and it doesnt have to be combat related. you have lifeskilling options and everything else.
BotW: we have the best exploration in open world games.
RDR2: we have the best graphics in open world games.
DDDA: we have the best combat in open world games.
TES5: we have the best interactive open world game.
TW3: We have the best story in open world games.
Elden Ring: we have the best challenging game in open world games.
Crimson Desert: we can beat RDR2 already. Now lets see about trying to beat the others?... Time will answer.

This is a genius move because it looks like they took most of Black Desert`s mechanisms and just built around it. which probably saved them tons of work. Especially considering how polished black desert is at this point. Looks very good. Lets hope it can deliver.

How did I miss this one, that was the most impressive game trailer I have ever seen. And no deceitful cinematics, just actual gameplay. If you pull this off, you are going to have a very successful game on your hands.

@@Mireu_ If they haven't revealed a release date at this point I'd be planning on it being next year at the earliest. We're already halfway through Q3 of 2023. Of course they could just drop it one day and say it's out in a week or something but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The most ambitious open world game that I've ever saw. Hope it has a cool main story and relevant side quests, such as Red Dead 2 and The Witcher.
That would be great, but I have a feeling its going to be more like an Assasins Creed/God Of War type story

I would seriously hold off on that statement man, take a look at Black Desert, its REALLY similar already and is already playable. Many reused assets and animations taken straight from that game, except touched up a bit for this.

@@teamrocketsslowpoke2773 I don't have an issue with linearity itself, but they made it linear to avoid the issues of open world games such as not having enough content to populate the world. But then they couldn't put any content in the zones they made besides pointless side quests. If you can't do exploration even on a smaller scale correctly, then just don't do it at all, i say.

It's like combining Zelda TOTK, Assassin's Creed, GTA V, and Ultimate Fishing Simulator all into one game. Plus, there are cats and even a treebeard! Absolutely loving it.

Just like how we (at least I did) thought years ago seeing Project Eve aka Stellar blade looked to good to be true, East Asia again gave us an amazing game. Black myth wukong again looked to good to be true & AGAIN 3/mEast Asia said “nah, it’s out this year boys”. Thank you East Asia for keeping gaming alive 🇯🇵🇨🇳🇰🇷
I love how despite this being Fantasy, there is a lot of accurate designs such as with the armor and weapons. Hounskull Helmets and Teardrop Kite shields for example.

I have very high hopes for this game. The developers aren't actually developing everything you see from the ground up. They already have a solid base for all of this from their previous game "Black Desert" which is a MMORPG that they have been improving/updating regularly for nearly a decade. Black Desert has some of the best combat and wildest mechanics of any MMORPG. What they are doing with this game is bringing over the features, combat, mechanics, and lessons learned in Black Desert to a new open world single player game with updated graphics. My hopes are high because they are simply building and improving upon what they already have and tested rather than starting from scratch. You could say this game has been in development and beta tested for over a decade (Black Desert). Now we get the single player version without the "baggage" of MMORPGs.
Black Desert is primarily simply weightless "flashy combat", There is no parrying, no reversals, no elemental countering elements(Water vs Fire, etc) or anything.
BDO is only "some" blocking/guarding on some classes with iFrame based dodging with flashy visuals.
It's not that deep as this Single Player game is going to be.
I played BDO console/PC for over 3 years and it doesn't even have ANY physics.
The AI for the majority of NPC enemies are simply brain dead with no more than 2+ slow animations even for an MMO.
It is what it is. It's an old game with flashy visuals for combat.
Games like Dragons Dogma and Vindictus have paved the way. It's time to tell it like it is. Don't hold back.
@@sevionus80 What purple was saying is that they aren't working from scratch. Crimson desert btw has been a thing since a few years into black desert life from its original time of release 2014. Lot of what you see in crimson desert was going to be added into bdo but then they decided they wanted to make a sequel mmo so they put it towards that then dropped the whole MMO idea (was going to be a prequel) and made it singleplayer. The odds that the game actually plays like this are higher then most games that make all these claims. The problem that will probably happen with crimson is the performance issues (least judging by all the gameplay theve shown). This game does have a high chance of coming out the way it looks (still can ofc flop).

Seriously, DD2 had a lot more potential to be great but it just became a repetitive collection of fetch quests and fighting the same groups of monsters over and over again while doing said fetch quests. The Grigori boss fight was pretty lame, too.
If this is for real, I believe this might end up being a surprise hit that explodes in popularity and acclaim, like the first dark souls, the witcher 3, baldur's gate 3, etc. Really looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Drak souls is trash
Baldurs Gate 3s popularity was very predictable. DOSI and II made Larian absolute darlings of the crpg scene and EA showed they were able to capture the roleplaying aspect of tabletop alongside their brilliant combat system. It's fun to see non crpg and tabletop players join in but it was not an unexpected explosion.
@LiamFarleyMA Larian admitted that BG3 completely surpassed their expectations. It wasn't destined to be a failure, but it's certainly a much bigger success than was anticipated.

That was such a good showcase!! Showing so many of the different scenarios we can expect when playing was awesome, from sidequests to boss battles or straight up roleplaying features... More games should have trailers like this.

Honestly, I'd pre-order on the insane premise of what's shown. It's Black Desert, it's Tears of the Kingdom, it's Assassins Creed, it's Dragons Dogma, it's in a world that seems to be a blend of medieval europe and the old dynasty eras in asia which is interesting.

I’m really excited for this game and hope that it has a great story and quests; it looks like it could be an industry changer. I’d take waiting a few more years if it means having a game that is just as if not more incredible than it looks.

The fidelity and size of this world looks out of this world. Those animations are top notch just take my money already😩

2년만에 나온 트레일러이니만큼 굉장히 흥미롭게 봤고 개발이 상당히 진척되어왔음을 알 수 있었음.
첫번째가 저번 트레일러에서 보여줬던 프레임 드랍이 거의 없는 점.
과하다 싶은 광원 효과를 자연스럽게 만든 점.
UI들이 어느정도 가다듬어져 있는 점 등등
결과론적으론 개발이 착실하게 진행되고 있는 모습이라 다행이었음.
다만 출시일을 따로 지정해놓지 않은 이유 또한 트레일러에서 눈여겨볼 수 있었는데,
1. 아직 성우 더빙이 제대로 진행되지 않은 듯함. ( 저번 게임 플레이 트레일러 때에도 그랬지만 게임 내내 음성으로 이루어진 대사가 나오진 않았음. )
또한 전체적인 사운드 녹음 또한 덜 됨. ( 여러 구간에서 다른 상황임에도 사운드를 재탕한 느낌이 있음. )
2. 아직 개발 중이라는 것이 티가 나는 주변 오브젝트들이 꽤 많이 발견됨.
찾아낸 것들을 보자면
0:30 주인공이 탄 말 뒤로 보이는 방패를 든 병사가 움직이지 않고 있음.
0:54 왼쪽 양들이 경직돼있음. ( 이어지는 뒷 장면 검은 양 또한 마찬가지 )
1:00 오른쪽에 병사가 화분 위에 서 있음.
1:20 왼쪽 폭포를 자세히 보면 새가 폭포 너머로 사라짐. ( 아마 새들은 아직 직선으로 날아가는 동작만 구현한 듯 )
1:26 왼쪽 사슴이 움직이지 않음.
1:28 오른쪽 당나귀가 움직이지 않음.
1:34 뒤에 작은 소? 개? 들이 움직이지 않음.
2:07 울타리 안의 모든 동물들이 움직이지 않음.
2:40 말 앞의 짐을 이고 있는 노새가 움직이지 않음.
대충 찾아보니 이 정도 쯤으로 보였는데, 이게 구독자 눈속이기 용이라기 보단 정말 순수하게 개발 중이라 아직 구현이 안된 모습으로 보임. ( 그러지 않고서야 이렇게 대놓고 보여줄 리가 없기 때문에 )
아마 이런 모습들을 보아하니 출시까지는 최소 8~12개월 정도는 소요될 것으로 보임.
너무 오래 걸리는 것 아니냐 할 수 있는데, 나는 이 정도로도 만족함.
주가방어용이니 뭐니 하면서 던진 게 아니고, 개발이 그만큼 활발하게 진행되고 있다는 것을
마치 옆에서 생생하게 지켜보는 느낌이기 때문임.
유일하게 딱 하나 아쉬웠던 건 전체적으로 분위기가 가벼워 진 점? 하지만 이번 개발자의 마음이니 우리가 왈가왈부할 것은 아니라고 봄.
끝으로 펄어비스 개발자 여러분 이렇게 돌아와줘서 고맙고 매번 응원함. 꼭 좋은 게임으로

From the look of it, this game took the essence of: Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, The Wticher series (especially 3 with Blood and Wine), Assassin's Creed (parkour?), and some other open world game, and took it to another level. This is gonna be an insane game!
Indeed a dynamic open world with lots of animals and some survival(hunting fishing) like Red dead redemption2.
Dude its just BDO meets Dark Souls.

Starts with insane and amazing medieval setting then builds into fantasy elements only to end in silly flying and teleportation together with fighting robots and giant monsters crap. God, I wished this was a medieval only themed game like KCD. It does look really good tbh.

Okay, I’m not trying to get overhyped, and keep my expectations low, but holy shit. It’s hard to not be excited. If they successfully implement everything in this trailer it will be a one of a kind game man. We’re talking MMO scale In a SINGLE PLAYER game. That is insane. It has a lot of things I want in a game like this, it’s literally a dream game. Please Pearl Abyss take your time. Don’t give definitive release dates. I’m willing to wait as long as it takes for a superior product.

I’ve never been so hyped about gameplay mechanics and animations in a while, the attention to detail in the gameplay animation looks phenomenal, probably one of the best I’ve ever seen, if this game delivers on what’s in this trailer, I’m definitely down to getting it day one (after reviews of course lol)

I am someone who enjoys mounted combat in video games, at least the very few that have it, and I am certainly hoping that this game will deliver!
That this'll be truly versatile and viable!
That I'll be able to ram into enemies and shoot them with a bow on my mount like in this trailer, strike them from the back of my mount with my weapon, joust;
But most importantly, not be dismounted in a few enemy hits like an amateur, and the horse should never stop and rear like a joke when it gets hit, both the former and latter would ruin it!
That if there'll be spells, magic and the like to wield, I'll be able to wield it all on my mount!
And much more! Maybe even parkour on my mount and ride on the winds!
For now, you've just earned another customer! This better not disappoint, because I'll be purchasing it for the mountback combat and everything else will be a bonus!
So interesting showcase. Looking forward how all the mechanics is tied into the world and level design. Looking forward to the narrative and vertical gameplay.
