This actually looks ace. Sneaking in medieval armour would have been a challenge though, probably would make so much noise and get clogged with mud if crawling.
Not noise, not on mud. The armor itself is padded and allow for some movement. One of requirements was that you was to be able to cartwheel in full plate.
@@deadmeme902 But why do they invade castles in the first place? Or rather how? Undead are usually depicted as less intelligent or motivated than even animals.
Finally somebody has made a game where plate armor isn't clunky. For those who don't know, plate and mail armor was very versatile and you would be surprised how well you can move in it. Check a video called "Medieval armor mobility"!
It is very much clunky, as in noisy. But you can move in it well enough, for some time. It's much easier to move in plate than portrayed in media sometimes, but you still have lesser motion range than an unarmoured man. And you overheat faster.

Looks like a great concept, didn't see traditional survival mechanics, so I'm interested to see how the games core mechanics flesh out. But the combat looks nice, and the sneaking looks sneaky so I'd say we have a decent foundation.
the gameplay loop would be similar to that of Hunt Showdown where you are dropped into this pretty big map with objectives to do and stuff to gather and extract with afaik. only this would be PvE instead of PvPvE like Hunt
Looks insane! Such a mixture of horror and action gameplay reminds me of RE4. Can't wait for this game, we might have something really important on our hands here!
What part reminds you of re4? Because the combat and time periods are totally different, besides crows, infected and small village. it's nothing alike gameplay wise. That can apply to tons of games, with horror and a darker setting, even witcher to a degree. Demons souls has crows and infected, its more like that being melee oriented but still totally different.
Right out of the gate it reminded me of TLOU. From the camera angles to the executions/takedowns. It's pretty nice that it happens in medieval times. So far it looks like it's going to be a really fun game ❤️

This looks promising, I'm all for 3rd person perspective games.
I’ve had the idea of a medieval zombie story/game forever I’m so excited to see it finally realized!
Thank you for making this happen
Dude, I've been telling my friends about this as an idea too! Glad to see someone with the talents of a game developer had it as well.
If you’re not too married to it being European medieval times Kingdom on Netflix takes place during the Korean Middle Ages with a zombie apocalypse. Definitely worth the watch
It’s called dark souls
There’s 3 of them
@Taret Time Sounds cool gonna check it out. Appreciate it man
The medieval setting and animations were enough for me to be interested…BUT THAT TACKLE THOOOO!!!
Badass, finally someone is bringing medieval and zombies together. Online, survival, high detail, great animation.
The attention to detail on all of the little interaction animations are spot on.
Wow, my childhood dream game!
You were a psychotic child
Yea lol
YESYESYESYES Elden Ring was close but was still pretty over the top. This hits just right.
@@SApcGUY only in graphics
@@SApcGUY can’t really compare a survival horror game to an open world rpg. That’s like comparing dead space to grand theft auto.
Cuando hiba por el bosque en las misiones de KCD me preguntaba que aterrador seria si en esta ambientacion hubieran zombies, seria una completa locura. Parece que no fui el unico en pensarlo. Definitivamente lo tengo que probar.
This looks amazing, well done devs keep it going please. AND TAKE YOUR TIME!
2 more years of polish then release it. 😁
Agreed. Take as long as they need make it perfect.
This actually looks ace. Sneaking in medieval armour would have been a challenge though, probably would make so much noise and get clogged with mud if crawling.
Not noise, not on mud. The armor itself is padded and allow for some movement. One of requirements was that you was to be able to cartwheel in full plate.
@@erreyth you've clearly never been around someone wearing full plate before lol
This is such a sick concept! Medieval zombies? Could have a castle siege where you defend it against hordes of undead!
But undead are too dumb to siege a castle

The transition between animation are just perfect there smooth and clean gonna have to buy this when it's out
Not like Assassin creed Valhalla 🙈.
Looks cool. Very ambitious for a two person development team making their first game.
Really? This looks triple A!
If it's a two person game and it was not released 10 years ago then it means it will be buggy and unpolished or be a very short game... unfortunately
Well. Didn’t know this. Pass

Cinematography, color grading, sound - absolutely amazing. Hope this will be the feel of the final game
Finally a game that looks fun, where you don’t run out of ammo on the 1st 3 zombies & don’t have to worry about dehydration and blood pressure
Finally somebody has made a game where plate armor isn't clunky. For those who don't know, plate and mail armor was very versatile and you would be surprised how well you can move in it. Check a video called "Medieval armor mobility"!
Yeah, the only thing about it was it was pretty heavy, but once you get past that, it really doesn't hinder you much.
It is very much clunky, as in noisy. But you can move in it well enough, for some time. It's much easier to move in plate than portrayed in media sometimes, but you still have lesser motion range than an unarmoured man. And you overheat faster.
Soz Gladiator 🤤
@@zozilin Pretty sure OP meant clunky as in restricting movement a bunch.
@@B0x_T00l Right, and custom fitted armor puts most of the weight on your hips so it can mitigate that as well.
Unreal 5 is a literal 'game changer' for the industry.
Yes it is! It will bring 30 fps games back to console!

Yes!!! THIS is what I've been looking for for years! A Zombie apocalypse that takes place in a different time period! The challenge and setting is perfect, especially in a time where you can't just mow down zombies with guns, but instead must rely on medieval weaponry!
Few years later some body making mod with they favourite sword character like guts,Dante, cloud etc
Also there is everyone favourite dreamwork orge
I'm really interested in seeing the lore involving these undead and the reactions of the people at the time.
Hopefully it’s like undead nightmare where no one knows what’s going on because a “zombie” wasn’t heard of in those times.
Aesthetics remind me of KCD which was one of my favorite medieval RPGs, and the gritty, gory action looks both over-the-top yet believable. I'm wishlisting this!
Looks incredible!
Just hope it’s somewhat story-driven as well.. aimlessly walking around would get old pretty quick, unfortunately

Looks absolutely incredible,PRAYING this comes to console in the end as well as Steam...🤯🙏🏻
As the wearer and user of a medieval harness, this looks like an incredibly fun game. Definitely buying this.
I've wanted to wear armor like that, how does it feel?
And does it time to get uses to it?
@@fighterx9840 and with a helmet like that, cant really see much
This looks amazing, looks like they have focused on the Hundred Years’ War period as well which makes it even more interesting.
Makes sense since that’s around the time of the Black Death
I’m so glad that this game has a prone mechanic. There’s been too many games lately which only have a crouch and it makes sneaking so much harder.
Actual armor in a video game? Instant hype for me.
@@count_dcinamon Devs have said that they're thinking of adding something similar to Dark Souls invasions, so it may be PvPvE

Somehow I've been waiting a game like this for so long, but didn't know it until now. This looks so sick!
This is the first time I've seen historically accurate 14th century armour in media.
Duuude that authentic medieval armor and setting tho! And those animations are NICE!
looks amazing
Would love to see more survival elements. Combat looks insane
Right out of the gate it reminded me of TLOU. From the camera angles to the executions/takedowns. It's pretty nice that it happens in medieval times. So far it looks like it's going to be a really fun game ❤️
You noticed the fungus around some of the dead zombies?
Also like Resident Evil 4 with it's village setting.
