Real life. Real life is the new survival game.
And man am I losing bad 🥲
@@shadyxnk2040 I spec'd all the wrong stats 😂
Its 0/10. Overwhelmingly negative. Do not recommend.
When someone unlocks new game plus please let me know 😭
Stay hydrated
I appreciate that all of your list-based content always includes an index so that I can skip over/to the parts that interest me. Very watcher-friendly.
Much preferred to the top 10 style
yeah but then they waste time with blabering nonsense
fr
Especially when your an Xbox player, you can skip through the majority of the video.
"Where every bullet matters..." Immediately cuts to a player just unloading a magazine into the fence. LOL
Fences are the worst!
Love how the video just ends with Jake saying but.
They had an outro for the video written, recorded and edited and they were going to use it but
Yeahhh was just wondering what the heck happened to the sound of this video, did the usual editor go on holiday? 😅
I was looking for this specific comment after it happened. Lol
@@TheFreshSoundsFlorida I did the exact same thing, and when I didn't find one I made my own comment. Seems there were more folks who had the same thought than I realised lol.
Just the usual gameranx lazyness with the bare minimum effort and research.
Man, I miss the days when videos with this title contained games that actually had release dates for said year.
5:03 I’m not falling for this again 😂the day before already got me
Fool me once 😅
For reals! Smart man
Abiotic Factor has to be an homage to Half-Life, even the scientists look like them.
It absolutely is. There are even headcrabs
Robert Downey Jr as Kirk Lazarus as Sgt. Lincoln Osiris: “SURVIVE!”
Can't wait for the, "What do you mean You People? Update"
He's a dude playin' a dude disguised as ANOTHER dude.
"What do you mean You People?"
"What do YOU mean You People?"
Also, 7days to die is finally on 1.0, its great.
I was about to say “7 Days to Die”. I can’t wait for my console update 😂
The ones with multiplayer interactions are the most interesting. When you build a unique and fancy house, it's way better when you can show it to others.
Someone needs others reassurance….must be American!
I'll look at your fancy house 😀
@puppysoda7062 says tne one commenting you think only Americans are like that nah all people are like that kid
the hell lol
for me, i skip the game in the video whenevr multiplayer is mentioned. With the presence of other players, it just inevitably feels like a gamified game instead of harsh survival.
@@Dalziel45games are far more fun with others. You create different types of fun. Sp is only driven by you and the mistakes you make. I hate people but gaming with others is fun for the fact you can achieve more
Forever Skies is a good survival game that I can't remember if you guys have covered. It gives a feeling of playing Raft, but you are flying in the skies in a blimp. You can expand, upgrade, build up, and out, all while the usual survival elements are in play. It also has a hardcore mode for those who want the "one life only" challenge.
Agreed, that's a fun one too.
I definitely enjoyed Forever Skies, if only for a short bit. There's simply not enough content right now, even for early access. I did absolutely everything I could, and then some, in 8-10 hours. It just needs more time to cook.
Thank you for the content. It’s hard to keep track of what comes out when. Love your channel
Well said
I'm not really a "survivor" fan but that Terminator one sounds intriguing if only because it makes so much sense. Dune looks cool too but my body can't handle the amount of water I would down just playing it.
Lets be honest here half the games mentioned will probably die even before release just the The Day Before failed one
🤔Why no SOULMASK yet? This survival game got me hooked for a solid 80hrs on the demo alone, no joke. Love the core idea where you can become anyone with those masks. It's got a tribe system kinda like conan exiles, but way more random and fun. Sure, it's a bit of a head-scratcher at first, kinda makes you wanna bail, but once you're in, it's freaking addictive. Yeah, combat and stuff could use a bit of polish, but seriously, highly recommend it
So glad you mentioned V Rising. Its such a well put together game. So happy I was bored and tried it out.
Waking up to new Skill Up and Gameranx videos - my favourite type of morning
👍
I literally have Pacific Drive paused as I watch this and am waiting less and less patiently for Project Zomboid's build 42 to drop lol
The build 42 wait is killing me lol.
Is that the NPC build?
@@princek.d.8695 and wildlife and basements and smithing and.... lol
@@princek.d.8695 No, that’s a ways away still. But 42 has some pretty significant upgrades coming…
That games develop slow as fuck... @@beatinbuzzers
Into the Dead looks a lot like This War of Mine!
"Sick and tired of chopping down trees", that's gold😂
Outward 2 lets go 🎉
into the dead kinda reminds me of this war of mine🔥
Yup, agreed....just threw in zombies...
Enshrouded should give more character customization. Current options make all characters look like gnomes or dwarves. It's still early access, but I hope the devs will add this.
Into the Dead reminds a lot the very good one This War of Mine, in a zombie setting. Cool.
It is exactly like This war of mine...with zombies added in. The game looks like a copy/clone.
@@bobzuruncle2214 "This zombie is mine"
I love all the content you put out. You need to do a cross-platform games list video.
Gameranx team, guys I just wanted to say I noticed a lot of videos that you've been putting out (at least in the last period) are overlapping with topics (very similar topics, just with a different title), with games (a lot of games get mentioned constantly, and this is probably because of the topic repeat issue).
Now, don't get me wrong, I love all your videos and I'm always watching them, so keep 'em coming. I just wanted to ask if you are planning to broaden your scope with different kinds of rankings. Maybe something like top gamers or top achievements, or maybe some deep dives into games, similar to "Before you buy"? I apologize if you already have those kinds of videos and I haven't seen them, I'm just going off from what I started noticing, since I watch almost every video that you put out.
Cheers!
Definitely would be nice for them to check out games they didn't cover much. Maybe even old games
Into the Dead gives me vibes of State of Decay but played out like This War of Mine.
Holy crap an into the dead side scroller game! I remember playing a endless running into the dead game on my ipad as a kid
.me too
Oh yeah I just started lunch at work and this drops.
BOOOOOOOOOYAAAAAA
Nothing bettah!!!
Enshrouded is phenomenal! 30 hours in, and no sign of the end yet. I definitely recommend it!
It`s about 80 hours long. And stays fun till the end
Can you play it solo?
Did they fix the 60fps camera and animation?
@@StaredownGames Yes 🙂
Was it made by a blind person because the bloom is just 300% too strong. RIP OLED.
"In the survival genre, there is always room for cool new ideas." Yeah, like not post-apocalyptic...again.
Im Just sick of nuclear Apocalypse or you are Just all alone now thats why i Like Frostpunk so much
Thx for actually naming the chapters!
I love that u put subtitles in ur videos 😀
This war of mine being mentioned makes me so happy. That game is amazing.
V Rising is so underrated, I've been playing it non-stop. The game is absolutely brilliant, definitely a must play. I wish there were more vampire genre games. And I'm very excited for Frostpunk 2. 🤙
Whished Stunlock would support the much superior Battlerite.
Nah, it's severely overrated. A subjectively "decent" game made by the same company that forced everyone to buy into their f2p game and abandoned them (around 5 total).
👍
I love these lists. It would be nice if the name+platform banner displayed at the _end_ as well as the beginning of each game. Many times, I don't care about the game until _after_ I've seen some footage etc, by which point I've usually forgotten what it was called and which platforms it was going to.
Glad I watched this, I had not even heard of Light No Fire, now I’m hyped
Pacific Drive looks pretty cool, diggin the concept
I got it and love it.
@@unknownname3189same, vibes from control and stalker
The flying island one. There was a game like that in the 2000s but I forgot the name
Skies of Arcadia? One of my favorites! Maybe a sequel or remake someday.
You talking Aloft? Needs WAAAAY more content, but I like the premise.
"captain of Industry" not a survival but a solid duggerstion to look into and get in to one of your list vids! dont sleep on it the depth in it will surprise you!
Bellwright is slow paced, but super in-depth and satisfying for a casual playthrough
Idk about this one until they release the full game. Heard the dev. doesn't have good track record, a tendency of abandoning games.
Rooted looks eerily like the Day Before trailers, makes me nervous.
Send help. Can't. Stop. Playing. Palworld.
Downloaded it for my daughter thinking it was a children's game. My wife thinks I'm a nut job now 🤣.
Palworld is awesome.
Palworld is life.
they keep updating/improving State of Decay 2. its such a good game. i can't wait to see what they bring to 3.
8:04 : totally looks like a badass
☂️ Mary Poppins game for
💃 That one clip! 😂 & I am here for it! Thanks again Jake!
It's so sad that now all post-apocalyptic survival games have to PROVE they aren't scams like The Day Before.
Im excited that 7 days is finally coming out of early access.
Their road map is still 2 years from complete. Coming out of early access seems like a marketing gimmick to increase the price.
It's more that 7 Days has become a running joke in the gaming community because of its 8+ year Early Access. They had to do a full release if they didn't want to continue being a joke of a company.
@@Joreel A running joke outside of most of its community honestly.
Pretty sure most saw that they kept it in early access because they didn't deem it up to their standards. If we look at it from how it evolved ever since it first released the early access tag could've disappeared a long time ago honestly.
I played Once Human a lot during Technical Test 2 and 3. And it looks and feels very promising. of course it needs some optimization and a good endgame, but for me it felt like the game achieved what The day before promised. Though with a fantasy/weird touch.
Seeing bases of other players next to the road while riding your bike to the next objective was really cool
When state of decay 3 drops I'm dancing
Eshrouded looks gnarly cool!
Its a blast with friends
@@Seismo2077good to know!! Definitely going to try it! Thanks!
The general consensus among the community is that ark 2 is never actually coming out. The ark leads seem to have thrown all their eggs in the Ark Ascended basket and Snail Games financial situation is looking one mistake away from going under.
Into The Dead reminds me of This War of Mine, but with a Zombie Apocalypse.
Great work 👏
Absolutely awesome game choice.
Thanks.
Excited for Dune Awakening
& the alters
7 Days to Die 100% should have been on this list, especially since it's going to be leaving early access soon. Almost 4,000 hours in game, some questionable developer decisions along the way, but still one of my favorites.
Game is dogwater
"Into the Dead" looks fun, and even though scrolling platformers aren't anything new I like the use of it in this title. I really appreciate the tireless efforts and extent of you guys.
This Into the Dead is clone/copy of 'This war of Mine' a mobile app released nearly 10 years ago by 11 bit studios.
As the other comment, this style of play reminds me of "This war of Mine". Hopefully this has good gameplay/story, looking forward to this one.
@@bobzuruncle2214why do I see you everywhere trying to put this game down? It looks very good even if it is a “clone” of This War of Mine.
Nice video😮and i never finish these coutdowns. Only I've played is pal world and state of decay 2
Into the Dead looks like This War of Mine, but with Zombies and a 2.5D art style
Abiotic Factor sounds like an open world multiplayer survival RPG Half-Light-like and I love it.
Dune Awakening is the only one Im waitin for
👍
Great video and all these games look exciting! That said, I think you meant Framed for the murder of a Prince, not Blackmailed :)
Been on the demo of road to Vostok and it’s pretty sweet.
2:22 Exactly what I was thinking re: Half Life 1 aesthetics, they have the same haircut style (hair on sides but no hair on top) 😂
Hello Games has earned my trust after all they’ve done to improve No Man Sky.
Knowing that they likely learned an invaluable lesson with that launch, and that they won’t give up if things miss at first, it’s a worthy investment IMO.
once a liar always a liar.
@@AmazedBunionno
V Rising is really fun. It has a good progression system. Beat a boss, get an ability. It's simple but really rewarding. Plus the ability to move your base is really nice in a survival crafter.
Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days reminded me of This War of Mine
agreed....like a full on copy/clone
7 days to die 1.0 is coming to consoles in the next few weeks
Where tf is falcon …
Soaring above us, on the lookout for Microsoft's next terrible decision...
Bring the birb
into ther dead gives me massive this war of mine vibes :D but im looking forward to try light no fire in december ? D:
“ Western Rye “ falcon is another survival game I saw upcoming this year and it was even covered by gaming Bible, it caught my eyes because it was inspired of undead nightmare
Palworld hype dead
30,000 to 70,000 concurrent players disagree…
Because it’s out lol
@@adamwest8711 well I don’t
@@trabacon9227 you don't disagree with yourself? Who would of thought. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean everybody does. Hate to break it to you but you don't get to decide what people like
@@alexwinfield9540 when did I say I don’t like they game ???
Good picks, but I'm not sure how you missed "SoulMask", it has quite a large potential in automation, along the crafting path.
Before you mentioned "day before" on rooted. The first thing that popped into my head was a company was bringing back the day before ha
Abiotic factor is SUCH a good game. Not since Subnautica did I play something an ENTIRE weekend without stopping. S Tier game..
Never heard of Frostpunk before. Completed the main story in one day. Cant wait for 2nd game :D
Stranded Alien Dawn is a little old now but well worth a look.
haven’t been paying attention to the dev updates from Undead Labs have you? State of Decay 3 is coming along nicely. Currently they are looking at ways they can make zombie spawns more realistic by having more in the city or less in the country, and also making it so zombies don’t respawn once you’ve cleared an area.
SoD3 is my most awaited game of the nearish future.
Soulmask & Pax Dei. I tried the demo of Soulmask, there is a Lot there to explore. It's like a cross between Conan Exiles & Ark (less the bugs). Pax Dei Alpha 2 was also a lot of fun but a heck of a slog for a solo player. (I still want to play more.)
Thank you for this list
Nacon fostered a lot of goodwill with RoboCop. I hope they knock it out with Terminator Survivors too.
I really want an open world survival game with cryptids or european folklore type things. Like I love a horror element but it's always zombies or some other humanoid thing.
I’m excited for Rooted. Looks interesting. V Rising is absolutely fun and the V community is really great! I’d start PvE to understand the mechanics. Into the Dead looks cool.
Love these so I can add games to my Steam Wishlist
👍
I already forgot about Palworld. That was a flash in the pan haha.
There should be a reverse survival zombie game.
One where you're the zombie and you have to survive by hunting any human you can find.
Stubbs the zombie
Into The Dead kinda reminds me of Inside witch is one of my favorites ❤
Into the Dead is clone/copy More like 'This war of Mine' a mobile app released nearly 10 years ago by 11 bit studios.
Valheim Ashlands will hold me over for a while. I may jump back into Enshrouded after Shadow of the Erdtree
Bellwright is amazing and the potential to grow is amazing
I know I’m 2 weeks late but I’ve been a part of the community of road to Vostok and I tell you what. It’s a small like very small people working on it and it’s great there’s more to come to it and I can’t wait for more to be shown❤❤❤
The thing with V rising is that it feels very passive when you play alone. It's like everything is waiting for you and nobody cares about whether you do or don't attack them. It's like every enemy is sitting in their camp or whatever thinking "oh, that's inconvenient"
I miss those classic like ocean survival games. There was this game i used to play on wii called lost in blue and you had to feed yourself and manage your thirst and energy but also take care of another character to
Enshrouded is definitely a great game. Needs a little fleshing out but I've loved it
Into the dead: Our darkest days, looks like a 1:1 color reskin of This war of mine. I'm sure there will be differences, but it should be a hit. Good base game to draw from.
Great video dude
Pacific drive was a great game. I played it to completion and I enjoyed it. The story left me wanting more and I would love a
sequel/prequel
I struggled to even get into it. Played for like 6 hours at launch. Just felt like I was sloggin along. Tried a few weeks later and felt the same. Glad others enjoy it though.
Ensgrouded is fun because you can build off prestanding buildings that are made of the same materials used for building.
Absolutely digging Enshrouded! The game feels and looks so damn good. Highly recommended to anyone that’s on the fence about it! If it’s already this good, 1.0 is something to really be excited for.
I bought Enshrouded on a whim thinking I'll get some hours in but now a lot.... well, now I'm 100+ hours in and I still have a massive to-do list left, it's so addictive!
You rock Gameranks!
Like a big-hair girly dressed band from the 80’s!!! (That’s meant to be endearing 😂) 🤘🏻
Or like Led Zeppelin in their prime if you like 🪨 🎸
Valheim Ashland’s just dropped also a good shoutout 🎉
Bruv your voice activates my dopamine receptors WAY too much I need to finish my work 😭
Frost punk 2 as a survival game was a bit of a stretch...
