I have always filled the converter, then at least 4qts down the tube. Start to idle and put in reverse. The pump moves a lot in reverse throughout the trans.

I’m sure the channel wouldn’t be financially viable if you did this kind of video all the time, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Knowing the car is running and driving and with the perfect owner pulls on the heart strings. But it also has the added benefit that the subscribers got to see the quality content we are used to. Kind of like the nova build with three generations of hotrodders working on the car together. The story is worth just as much as the metal. Hope to see more of this in the future. When I was younger, a lot of my friends ran old Buicks. Almost every one had the banshee howl from the speedometer. For some reason, Buicks seemed to be the only GM cars that were afflicted with it.
I'm glad you are working on the 55 Buck again. The car is totally cool. Had a 57 Roadmaster 2dr HT. The chrome on the dash would blind you in the sun, and the body lines were wow. As I said totally cool! Find a 56 Holiday coupe while you're at it. Shake, rattle, and roll.

It's a really nice thing that you're doing for that young man it's too bad you didn't have just a little bit more time to get rid of that belt squeal and replace that speedometer cable cuz I know that's a pretty easy job

You think that bolts funny I found kind of the same thing in this old 74 F100 the old man didn't have a fuse when he was hunting so he stuck a 22 bullet in it. When he returned home he forgot about it and some odd years later sold me the truck and when I was down there checking the fuses one day I stumbled upon it. Definitely was an interesting find.
I have known mechanics all my life and they know when its right to help, Its not about money its more about time and can they make it better, took a car that eaisly would have ended up at the crusher and made it run and drive. Time for Tristan to get it on its way to the car shows.

We actually started with a shroud and with the smaller fan motor it was overheating so we had to pull the shroud to get the better fan on but agreed, shrouds are better, but they have to have relief panels for the highway.
