8:27 re: Z-bar linkage. An external hydraulic system has advantages (especially self adjusting), but a mechanical Z-bar setup can be REALLY nice if you replace the cheap factory wear-prone pivots with heim joints. My CJ7 was a mess to shift before the simple heim joint swap and now it's by far my favorite clutch to use. It feels like a bolt action rifle.
My 5.0 MGB is getting a Nissan truck hydraulic cylinder on the T5 because joining the factory master via 3an braided is easy peasy. The builds on this channel are some of the best out there.

It gave me an excuse to hop up a 318 from a 70-71 Challenger, threw a 360 cam and x heads with Blackjack headers some turbo 400's with 2 1/2" exhaust off my defunct 440 barracuda and it was a hot screamer!😲👍

First one i did 2 days later both uppers completely popped out.
I tached each ball joint on each side of every point on the hex with 1/8" long bead. Haven't had any issues since.

I’m swapping in a 318 magnum with a carb soon. Next year it’ll get a 5.7/8spd. It’ll get the van LCA swap and some drop hangers. The 8.25 will have to get swapped for a 9.25 when the Hemi goes in. This will be my son’s truck eventually. I’m hunting for a 72-80.

Cool truck, My dad has one like this, but it's a 77 2 wheel drive short box 440 all original. We live in Wisconsin and it just so happened a older lady in her 60s from Florida drove it up here to visit some family members and reverse went out in the transmission so she sold it to my dad for $600. That was back in 1992 and it been sitting in my dad's storage shed since then. These old Dodges were always my favorite out of the main 3.

You cannot beat the old Mopar Trucks. Had a 73 ,78,84,85,86,86,88. Absolutely love them. Granted all mine were 4 wheel drive.

You guys are the best. My Dad is from Hellertown and my Mom is from Quakertown. Always enjoy the pizza scenes and hoagie runs. My grandparents were big on the birch beer, too. Keep rockin - love the truck.

24yr old me had an 84 4spd slant 6 4x4 30yrs ago. Then, I knew so little about vehicles. Had no idea my problems were likely a ballist resistor or regulator. Definitely one I wish I had back. Cool truck guys

Super six! Or offenhauser intake manifold. Clifford header. Rebuild to a nice 9:1 compression ratio, and it can actually make some power.

I'm a ford guy. The slat 6 is legend for reason. Possibly better than 300 straight 6. Cash for clunkers saw then end of many of them.

I had a 78 truck with the same set up except it was a custom 150 with the super slant 6 with A833 od 4 speed manual, probably the best truck I've ever owned. It had the custom interior package with the bucket seats with the buddy seat/ console. After tuning the 2 barrel Carter bbd it got 50 mpg on flat ground at 60 mph! Loved that truck👍

I grew up with a 1980 plymouth volare wagon that had the same motor/carb, and I remember how that carb hated ethanol, literally dissolved the accelerator pump, so I got pretty good at rebuilding that carb.
