His voice is so annoying! I know that witnesses are not supposed to speak to anybody, but I felt bad for Doug’s daughter. She obviously didn’t speak to the reporter to be evil. She is a young girl and I’m sure this trial hasn’t been easy for her. Just like you stated , the attorney is very unlikable.

Flat out guilty. She’s such a bad actress. Her sobs were fake. She would sniffle, carefully blot her face, but never once blew her nose. When you really cry, your nose runs and no woman wants her nose to run! She left it, and kept sniffling to amp up her act.

Well, actually, it's not fake sobs. She is really scared to go to prison because she has no evidence to back up her story about fearing for her life and shooting him. She knows she did something really wrong. Doug Benefield did not deserve to die that day.

At that point, this woman had not only kept his baby from him for 6 months but had also been throwing false allegation after false allegation after Doug, including going to the authorities and publicly accusing him of sexually assaulting their infant child. She really wants us to believe he never hit her during all of that time and only decided to hit her and threaten her life because he didn't like the way she wanted items placed in a truck? And when her mom would be returning from the park at any moment?
Not to mention she could have gotten her phone, locked herself in a room and called the police instead of going for the gun. She did this intentionally because she couldn't manipulate the justice system to arrest Doug.
She should 100% be found guilty. If she isn't, it's the state's fault for not presenting--what should have been--a slam dunk case.
Yeah! Such a fake acting job with all the self defense buzz words fed to her by that sleeze lawyer and who could believe a word out of her? No way after those love fest text messages an hour before jive with any of this story of Doug getting angry over stupid boxes! It’s all made up!

The only evidence she has for the killing is scratches. smh She had a loaded gun on top of the laundry clearly out in the open that her child could have access to. My daughter was quite the climber at 2 years old, so that is not good! She didn't have a problem with Doug helping her load the Uhaul, just that her stuff was not all on the outside. We learned today that she was an only child. Chances are she was used to being the center of attention and getting her way. IMO

Because she wanted to see if they were paying attention, she wanted to make sure she was doing a good job. Ashley isn’t looking at anyone at all to see if they are paying attention to her emotions. My having been a victim of domestic violence, one would think I would sympathize with this woman. I cannot. I know what it is like and she is using excuses for her behavior. She is lying. It is interesting how she had her hair in french braids until she testifies. Then she lets one side down to cover her face. I am assuming that is the side the jury views her. She also seems as though she artfully has made up her face with dark eye-shadow to look sullen as she clearly is wearing makeup. She sniffs her nose to sound as though she is crying but never shed a tear. To me she planned the murder. Also, why didn't she call 911 for help. She ran to the 'man' next door, made him make the call saying that she was attacked to sound more impressive. She is a calculating person and guilty.

@@tyreseforren6721 To get her behind bars, the state had to make it look like he was this great widower guy, father, and husband. He was actually worse than Ashley. The way he did his daughter by literally springing a new MUCH younger woman he didn’t even know in their home like he did is unforgivable. Of course the daughter and Ashley didn’t get along, but the daughter should be blaming dad, more than Ashley. He was a violent jerk, in my opinion. The email she found on his computer written by his late wife, said it all.
