Cant seem to get the adaptor anymore ... is there another option that you know of ?
I've been using the Bosch for a year and a half with a Makita battery adapter... Can't tell you how much I love it
Been running the Bosch for over a year now and its a beast, love the small size and don't have an issue with holding it.
Hope you and the family are better - the gift that keeps on giving.
Not only am I pretty impressed on the adapters, I'm pretty sold on the Bosch multitool as well.
Ok I’m sold. That was the only thing holding me back from purchasing the Bosch Starlock. I’m quite surprised at how well these adaptors work. Especially the Bosch adapter. Simple yet effective. It’ll be good to see that sanding adapter from Oslo Tools in use too. Also good to see your videos after your Covid bout.
Honestly Bosch multi tool is still my favourite, narrow nose, reasonable vibration and smoothly cut. Stick with her more than 4 years not any drama. I quite like star lock system with quick change different blade for different job. Understand bit costly for star lock blades. But I usually add margin to my job quote still can manage 😊
Had my Bosch for a year using it often, cutting plywood, OSB, etc the smaller arc, gives better control, the handle size is fine, personally hate when my fingers wrap all the way around. The slim design is great for tight spaces under cabinets.
Thanks man this was exactly what I was looking for, a straight up review showcasing the Oslo adaptor actually working on the Makita multitool. Just bought 2 thanks to your vis cheers 👍
or just buy a Dewalt, battery lasts forever and it is a great tool. pointless buying a quick release to go back to using an Alan key. keep up the good reviews. ordered in a Makita dust blower based on your review, it's bloody gold.
Blasphemy, sir, Starlock all the way.
That is a very creative idea. Thank you for the video !!!
That’s so cool, I’ll order for my Bosch! Thank you for sharing with us. Cheers.
Starlock blades are more costy than OIS but must say they are also much more effective. Bosch Expert lineas well as 115 mm sanding disc from Fein are game changers.
Really nice adapters! I would just like to see a screw and a washer in one piece so it less fiddly to install 😊
Yeah I was kind of wondering why they wouldn't make the washer captive
Adapters like these sure are nice to have, even though starlock is superior, especially the Bosch variant without the throughshaft
Thanks! Hope you got well without any lingering after effects from the bug. @13:37: Shouldn't the blade have been put on 'in reverse allowing a 'flat' approach when working close to a flat surface? For example, when cutting a nail flush to the surface it is sticking out.
Nice review. Makita is far superior as usual. I’ll go ahead and order it up.
On the festool ofc fits All 3 starlock, starlock plus and starlock max with the bsch like Pins.
makita/bosch should include this kind of adapter with the tool, to be honest. are you listening, team blue?
Bosch sells Starlock blades and also has to warranty the tool if the adapter fails. They'll also receive the complaints if the adapter isn't compatible with other accessories, like for dust extraction. They'll gain nothing and lose a lot with providing an OIS adapter.
The thing most people seem to miss is the fact that Starlock blades cannot be slipped around and used the other way like the standard/traditional blades
Great video, very informative and educational. Thank you very much, I’m more educated now 👍
Brilliant. Thanks!! Exactly the info I was looking for. :)
I love those intro’s 🤩🙌
The bosch click system is similar to the x lock. If I get the Makita tool, I am going to see if a spider bit holster or something similar could hold the spare pins and Allen key for onboard pin storage.
The makita one would be better if instead of the pin being attached to the adapter and having to screw the blades on, the adapter just had a hole through it and came with a longer quick release pin.
Yeah, I don't understand why they didn't go that route.
There's a Russian one made that way. You will have a hard time finding him and he only accepts orders via email and Bitcoin. Lol
I was thinking the same. I don't need it but using the allen key all the time would be a dealbreaker for me
@@digitalparadigms You mind telling his channel name?
@@frenchyroastify because then it becomes a Starlock product and they have to pay a license fee to Bosch. If they can manufacture OIS blades they could make Starlock, but they would have to pay to use the design, these adapters are purely there so they can sell OIS blades to Starlock users without paying any fees.
If you want a multi tool that has the low vibration features with the OIS fitment, buy the Gen3 Milwaukee.
I guess you could buy 3 adapters for your most used blades, then you could change blades faster than the bolt method
^^^ this guy is defo on the Oslo Tool company payroll 😂
Great idea in theory but transporting it takes up a stupid amount of room and makes the blades and shaft vulnerable to getting bent
Brilliant idea
It could be great to see Makita, Bosch and Fein as a three starlock machines in comparison.
Скажіть будь ласка який краще всього купити: Bosch COP vs DeWalt dcs 356?
По роботі,по кращій оснастці?
Я маю багато інструментів від DeWalt, але і маю пару 18v Bosch.
I’ve had one of these adapters from Oslo tool company and had such bad experience with it! The vibrations kept making screw come loose constantly and everything kept falling to pieces so became very frustrating. Such a shame as great idea!
I like the starlock blades but you can't find them alot here
Have my original Bosch multi tool (non starlock). Have lot of Markita 18 volt tools but held their multi tool which I find too bulky for my hands.
Never knew they had those lil adapters
The Bosch one reminds me of the space ships in Space 1999 🤔
Would this fit the FLEX multi tool, I really don't want to switch to Starlock as I have many ois blades already but if I could still use them on starlock/max I'd consider it
Wonder why they didn't just make the holding pin longer...making blade change toolless? For the Makita version. GET WELL SOON.
Your voice still sounds sore, but welcome back!
Fun fact. I use m12 multitool, switched from dtm51, but almost all my blades are starlock, they just run much longer and less burnouts happening with them,
Is that the new M12 multi? I have the M18 and I love it but I hate the monstrous dingus battery end on it
@@HotForgeChaos yes, the fuel one. Absolutely awesome. And with 4/6ah it is pretty in line with the blade. Only speed dial always trying to slow down.
Is there an adapter or Bosch with screw instead of snapping on?
Anyone know of somewhere to get an adaptor in 2024? Can’t find them anywhere anymore.
How did you get the Bosch profile sander to actually work? I bought one a couple of years ago but it was useless because the sandpaper just pops off as soon as it turns on.
I haven't had any problems with it. Try different paper with more 'fluff'
The Oslo Store is closed. Do you know of any other location to purchase one from?
i like starlock.
Nice to know, but I'll stick with my dewalt and a battery adaptor. I get cheap blades, quick change and a variable speed switch and trigger. Yet to see anyone rival that.
Do u have the direct link to where i can buy this? :) have the same makita as u. Please 😊
The Rockwell F80 has 2 oscillating modes: 5 and 3.4 degrees.
But as it is a corded 120V tool, it is not worth getting it outside North America.
👍👍👍Thanks.
Too bad these adapters from Oslo Tool are no longer being manufactured and available.
It seems everyone making something similar has also stopped. I think they may have been pressured into stopping... I'm still looking for a current manufacturer.
Looks like Oslo stopped making the adapter for Bosch. Just my luck! One year too late.
Does exist adapter to run Makita using Bosch akus?
I have a 15-year-old corded Porter Cable Oscillating and switching the blade takes 3 seconds. Hold the lever to release the old blade and put in the new blade and release the lever and it holds in firmly. It's the same design that Dewalt is using now. I don't know why all these top "companies" design such a ridiculous way to change blade. I bought this new Makita and regretted, sold it a while back.
Just waiting for a reverse adapter to put max blades on old multitools
Bosch and Fein say they need the stronger connection. The increased length and weight of the blade increases vibrations and force on the connection (and therefore the tool itself).
Where can i buy one in the UK?
timestamps would be nice and of value, but great video nonetheless. 😃
Hello, this company stopped selling multi tool adapters… any alternatives please??
ruclips.net/video/xWT19BWfh9I/видео.html
Where can I get that adapter???
Oslo Tool co multitool adapter shop is closed , they sell Nezdal blades .
Aaand not sold anymore.. cool
Where can I buy this adapter?
Do they also make adapters for starlock angle grinders?
You mean x-lock?
@@djbassbjrn1432 i guess. :)
These adapters from Oslo Tool look great but they no longer produce or sell them - which is a huge bummer - the others I've tried work poorly and are poorly made
Anyone know where I can get an adapter that serves this same function for the dtm52/xmt04? The only adapters I can find now are for the xmt03 since the Oslo Tools one isn’t available on their website anymore. Please help! I can’t afford the damned starlock blades
Oh also, @Jonsrandomreviews, I’d love to buy one of yours!
This is my opinion, but the Makita is my least favorite multi tool I have used so far. I think the new Bosch fixes most of the problem it had with the first one.
Evening from Aucks ... 😂😂😂
anh làm video thì nên thêm cân nặng của máy nữa và khi có cả pin
How to buy this adapter
Look in the description.
The Bosch Adapter falls off the Tool so easy, I think I will just weld a broken Starlock blade on top of the Adapter.
Makita Tool is too big and heavy to be comfortable and handy while idea of these tools is to be relatively small, smart and versatile.
Too bad Oslo Tool Company closed up shop for their adapters and shut down their adapter website.
The website or adapter no longer seems available, which really sucks, can't find anything like it.
Oslo no longer sells adapters.
I have an idea how to make adapter better..
Multitool Showdown ruclips.net/video/UEws-gbUUhk/видео.html
What?! No VPN??? What about Squarespace? hahahaha
Why whole world has the same name for mak tools but only america is different?😂
Unfortunately, it looks like the OSLO Tool Company have stopped making these.
hello
Why couldnt they make the makita adapter pin also lock a star lock blade in, aswell as be the adapter for a standard blade ? Then you wouldn’t even need the original pin just use the adapter for both…
The adapter would then be loose when not using a starlock blade.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL good point although if you had a star lock shaped washer blade thickness this would work like a dream ?
Are you the last person in the world to get covid?
Possibly. Dodged it for over 3 years.
@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL we need to make you a trophy.
Nobody in my family’s gotten it either.
Wearing an N95 or P100 mask and not going out to eat seems to help a lot.
Bosch makes one shitty multimaster clone. Now that Fein is on ampshare, maybe they’ll give up on embarrassing themselves.
No longer able to buy these adaptor they have stopped making them
Jan 2025 and the store is closed
