Helpful video. Thanks for posting. I have no lift but had the car backed onto a pair of 6" high ramps and had enough room to work. A word of warning to those replacing their gas tank. Be very careful when removing those blue plastic vents, especially the one that has to be twisted a quarter turn. I snapped off one of the hose connections in the process. No auto parts store in my area could even find replacement parts in their system. Maybe my Ford dealer could get me one, for a small fortune. Had to go to a junk yard and drop the gas tank off a Taurus and scavenge the entire assembly, both blue plastic vents, with all the hoses attached. Cost only $10 but added several hours to what would otherwise be under a two hour job.
Are those blue pieces connected to the fuel feed tubes? Just got our car returned from the dealership today with word that those parts are discontinued by Ford (after them telling me the fuel feed tube was leaking vapors) and now I'm scouring eBay! So glad we passed emissions just a week before that issue came up.
I have not done this job yet, but I am pretty sure the part numbers for those two plastic vents are: F8DZ-9B593-AB -small one YF1Z-9B190-AA -big one Regarding the vapor tube, you should be able to go to NAPA and get a general fuel rated hose. For the high pressure fuel lines, that is generally more stiff tubing made from nylon. Mechanics should have equipment to replace or splice the nylon tubing.
awesome vid I was able to Follow the steps exactly and made quick work of it. thank so much. I'm curious though aside from the fuel pump what are the other hoses called and for my situation it seems to be leaking from each seal on top of the gas tank.
Thanks video was great : Had leak from top of tank only when I started it up and cranked about 5 times before starting ! I changed the full pump O ring and no more leak and it starts with only 1 crank now much better ...... 😄

Thanks for the video, awesome work. I hope you don't mind me asking, but I cranked my 02 Taurus, removed the relay and car kept running, pulled the fuse still kept running. I checked and made sure I pulled the right one, by checking the number and location. I turned off car, but wouldn't start back. The tank is leaking from the top, but when I removed it, there were no obvious signs. Any suggestions? Thanks

What's the name of the Y shape part that connects to the hose at fuel pump? Trying to find that part and can't seem to find it at the 2:40 mark
Super helpful thank you 1A Auto!
Thank you for showing how to remove all of the components.
What is the assembly with the 2 blue valves called? When I went to pull mine out they it broke.
I know that the smaller blue component on top of the tank is the pressure sensor, but what is the larger blue component on top of the tank?
Did you unhook the fuel filter connector line from the gas tank when the connector was done ?
