*Ron Fair* is 66 years old an old Jewish white guy that still still produces records. Hes one of the oldest Record Producers in the music industry that's still currently active as he just got done working on a song for Keisha Cole. Hes like another Quincy Jones that can write out the charts on manuscript and conduct the orchestra. Well known songs hes produced and arranged the strings for is Black Eyed Peas - Where Is the Love?, Mary J. Blige - Be Without You, Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles etc.

Age is all about how you feel you can never compare people that are the same age, if you're still alive and still have the drive you still have a reason to strive.
Be blessed because unfortunately people today don't live to see 20's and 30's anymore, that's why it pays to listen to people with wisdom because you might learn a thing or two.

He reminds me of Quincy Jones that can produce the old school way working with session musicians and write musical arrangements on manuscript and conduct the orchestra. He said he can write music but can not read it which is pretty mind boggling.

You're never to old to produce records because Producers work behind the scenes. 40 year veteran Record Producer *Ron Fair* is one of the oldest Producers in the game that's 66 years that's still active that's produced all Keisha Coles stuff, Mary J. Blige - Be Without You, Pussy Cat Dolls and Where Is The love ft. Justin Timberlake. He's a Record Producer, Arranger, Conductor, Recording Engineer, Executive Producer, A&R, Record Executive, former chief officer that ran quite a few Labels. Babyface, Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam are also closer to Ron Fairs age still active.

I stared making music when I was 15 on the Sp1200 , TR-808, keyboard etc. and hate that sold them a long time ago. I’m just turned 48 and my passion is still producing music. Now I use Reason. I have a full time job but I’m married to music till the wheels fall off. Never too old for something you love!!

46 here...didn't start making any real money in music til 32 and didn't start touring internationally til 34.
THANK YOU for saying this! It REALLY needs to be said...it seems like ageism is the last socially acceptable form of discrimination, esp towards females, and its utterly absurd, esp considering what life expectancy is now. Ppl are living well into their 90s these days...
And I also loved what you said about wisdom. I would add its not just wisdom regarding your craft and making money, but also emotional wisdom in the form of self awareness, not taking things so personally, being able to regulate your own reactions w the right self talk, understanding how to read ppl and knowing how to communicate effectively - this is worth its weight in gold esp in creative and business situations.

There are niche markets for production. Everyone doesn’t have to aim for popular top 40 charts. I’m quite content with my independent grind catering to my loyal yet small fan base. So many platforms for musicians to enter the game and do very well. Licensing, video game and film production listen elder statesmen/stateswomen...this man is dropping jewels. Much needed and inspirational. 😎👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I am 46 years old. from the Netherlands and has also been in a bedroom studio since Corona and work in Ableton 11. It is a lot to learn, there is a lot to consider. All those synths, drum machines, plugins. I hope I still succeed in that overwhelming music production world. Thanks for the motivation 🤞😊

I‘m 65, I think there is little hope for big success. If you release a song, but nobody knows you? At least this happened to me. Release at the end of October, only about 900 accesses in 5 months on RUclips. But I‘m pleased, how should people know what to search for. You can‘t search for a Nobody. There is no reason to spend a lot of money on advertising the song.
I wrote this after reading the headline, only now I‘m going to watch your video. 😁
