Great video, answered many things I've been wondering of. How will the anaylses be conducted if the dependent variable (Y) is not numeric, but a categorical variable (for instance yes/no)? And the Fit Model function in JMP has both numeric and categorical independent varaibles? I used your the same method aa you showed in your video (backward stepwise regression), but the R squated is way off (0.06...). Would be greatly appreciated if you could also do a video on that as well. Thanks once again M.S.!
I’m confused on the difference between the BodyFatPercent column and the the ResidualBodyFatPercentage column. For example, for row 30, it says that body fat was 8.8 but in the residual column it was -3.8. Isn’t that a huge gap? And not considered a linear model?
