I am preparing for anLSS Black Belt exam and I have a lot of help from your videos. They are truly fantastic; high quality, clear, not too long and interesting. Much better than in the course I'm taking. I also enjoy Hannah's cute German accent. Thank you so much!
Man, I got myself extremely confusing ab the applied regression course Im taking right now until I watch this video. I kept wondering about what I have been practicing the non-sense math for, how I would apply it to my job or simply to the outside world. Now im pretty confidence on what I am studying because I got some insights about how it would be used. Thank you very much for such an amazing job. My instructors only fed us an intensive math problem solving and R-coding instead of giving examples, what the meaning of all this in our future use.
I've flirted with regression concept in various projects for 24 years. This is by far the simplest explanation and illustrations I've come across. Thanks for producing and sharing this.
I just spent a week trying to figure out how to make an equation from our research data that could then be optimized, this video literally answered all my questions.
I cannot thank you enough for this video! I had been losing my mind and confusing myself with SLR and MLR for the past few days. This video has been so beneficial. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for this video. I have a model of my home's electric use that explained 97% of variation in KWH/Day. But, the variance and thus residuals are positively correlated with temperature. The model is not linear either. We have a heat pump, and efficiency declines as temperature declines. A simple quadratic using temp and temp^2 worked for the linearity issue. I tried several things, including monthly dummy variables to reduce the heteroskedastic residuals. After viewing the video I remembered from way (as in 50 years) back in grad school that to fix this you can try using natural log of the dependent variable. That worked! I was able to drop the monthly dummies and several other dependent variables that went insignificant. R^2 dropped to 95% but the residual variance correlation with temperature essentially disappeared. Wish I had remembered that trick to start with.
actually, I am a statistician, But I wanna thank you for the priceless effort, you've covered what others didn't go through it in this detailed explanation. Thanks
@@datatab I learnt a lot from it; your preparation, knowledge about the subject matter, and confidence you possess have given beauties to the presentation, Keep on doing the best all ways. Yours, Habtamu
This was excellent. I stumbled on this after i concluded a regression analysis that gave me a really though time. I don't think i would have suffered at all if I saw this video earlier. Thank you.
you are amazing!! I'm not expert in English but I'm really understand very well thank you and i wish you suggest for helpful and good data for training
superb lecture! I have just started and going through this tutorial... and yet to finish ... I sincerely appreciate the clarity of the presentation. Probably the best tutorial for the beginners. Thanks a lot.
Thank you very much. Really well explained. I have a doubt, Is there an error on minute 21:08? The constant (formally shown as 'a') should be added to the rest of the equation?

the way you talked in slow manner was highly required and absolutely perfect . Thanks a lot.
I've been running regressions for the better part of 15 years and I enjoy the heck out of these videos. Feels like I'm learning it all over again.
