DELICIOUS: C3 Tangerine V2 Review

- These tangerines are good. c3Equalz and TKC have done a great job with these (but if I catch any of you paying ridiculous prices for these switches on the aftermarket I will be very disappointed - they restock quite often!)

I'm not even a big keyboard fan but I can't stop watching your videos
soon you will be
@@howardliu3559 I mean, I kinda stopped watching mech keyboard stuff nowadays (sorry Chyrosran), but Glarses?
I can't skip nor skimp on this guy's vids.
@@howardliu3559 I'm halfway through
So you say your not a keyboard fan then? Name every non keyboard then :manwithgunpointingatyoucosidonthaveanemojitodoit:
I'm too broke to be a keyboard 'fan' but I can't stop watching your videos
Your goddamn bruhmat made me spit my drink all over my desk. Overall, very enjoyable experience
Yo wassup hamaji
Nice
poggersmat is next
is there anywhere to get one?
we need a hamaji neo x Glarses collab
Petition for Glarses to "taste test" every switch he reviews.
Including MX Browns
Man that's like those 50/50 jelly beans. Is it gonna be chocolate cake or stale pumpernickel croutons?
@@dhoffnun what switch tastes good? damn
Those are gonna taste like sh*t. Hahaha
YES! Taste test! Taste test! Taste test!

do a kiwi review please
I sign this petition
TOTAKUU!!!!!!!!!! hi
yes pls
i can hear the deadpan tokaku voice
wait tokaku?
this dude actually ruined those switches just for a good video huge props
I mean, they're like maybe just a few bucks in total
@@tydshiin5783 still money.. rich boy
C
I don't think so you can still just wash and dry the individual parts then relube and it should be good.
One spoon is 4 dollars... Thats how rich eat? Lol
I saw the video and I’m like “oh a switch review I like those” then I saw it was glarses and just died
I think my favorite thing about this video is that it's very Glarses in tone, but a transcription of it would more or less read like a straight and accurate review of these things.
xd
1:27 Hall effect switches are that one kid who would not only set the curve, but also break the smoothness curve
If it's tactile gang rise up, then review C3 x TKC kiwis
I was just about to say that.
Kiwis are really nice
@@bushhawk5460 Agreed
I'm a big linear fan. These are the smoothest I've tried. The tealios (and all their various other offerings) are also amazing and pretty comparable, more like typing on a cloud, but slightly less smooth. Both are amazing
Have you tried the Everglide Aqua Kings (aka Water Kings). They’re amazingly smooth linears, as well.
@@little_fluffy_clouds I haven't. Will check them out
The one thing I’ve found out recently is that, if you’re good enough in front of a camera, you can get people interested in anything you love, no matter how niche.
I just got my Boba U4, I can't believe how silent they are. Also, now I understand why you say that mx browns are linear.
Great choice.
Dont you dare associate those things with linear switches
Glarses looking like a snacc reviewing snaccs
cursed
Literally know nothing bout keyboards but can appreciate the specificity of the niche you occupy
The man, the myth, the legend... has returned

0:00 with this start i know the video is going to be amazing
What's the INTRO MUSIC NAME PLSSS!!!????
i love your videos so much. I don't know that much about keyboards, or even have my own custom one or anything; but your videos never fail to make me laugh. Keep up the great work man.
You should get UHMWPE stems from Invyr or 415Keys, and then you should get an UHMWPE plate, and then you should get an UHMWPE keycaps, and then you should get an UHMWPE desk...
Though sarcastic.. doesn’t same material on same material make it scratchy?
@@zklnsgng from what i heard it can result in it "slippage"
@@zklnsgng According to Wikipedia has teflon (UHMWPE) on teflon nearly the same smoothness as Ice on Ice. Do what you want with this information.
@@zklnsgng Yeah, I heard of users with NK Creams getting almost a binding feeling just from POM on POM over time
@@Definitely_Melnyx @willie Stephenson mentioned the situation I heard material on material scratch. but I believe you that UHMWPE ON UHMWPE is smooth
my favorite linear right now are Tealios V2 and I love them so much, and I can compare them to lubed and filmed NK drys and on the smoothness scale they're pretty similar but the sound of the Tealios is where its at
oh also creams are good, not the smoothest out there though, but has one of my favorite sounds
Lube the switches with chocolate.
or salami grease
I did that and the chocolate hardened and started breaking all over the pcb lol wasn't worth it for the joke

You just made me remember my childhood with that Vsauce music. Good content, subbed.
Oh yeah also, my family was going to buy me a keyboard with mx browns a long, long time ago, and I refused. I used rubber domes for another 3 years. I do not regret it.
this popped up on my recommended and i thought it was a food review 😂💀
3:15 calibrating my ears for the sound test that follows, lmao
then I see the bruhmat XD
The C3 Kiwis also have that same suction cup release sound on the upstroke. It gets a little better with film but I can still hear it. Oh well!
Literally the first notification out of class, made my day better!
currently typing on them right now, i love them so damn much
Did you try any other switches? Can you compare them to anything?
@@xto3143 mx browns and blues... ahahaha not very good switches compared to the tangerines so I'm definitely going to like them the most
@@eggnog.9741 ty anyway :)
I love how your videos are short but hella informative bruh and it's not just you talking, the edits are sick too like damn
you are literally therapy for me! i always feel better watching you think and talk about keebs!
Another thing to mention at the end of the video: they’re so smooth like really smooth
I currently have these on my Mr. Suit TKL, and it's AMAZING.
Swapping the tops for the milky blend tops off a KS3X-47 part combo Gateron Yellow really helps these sound-wise while allowing you to still take full advantage of the smooth af bottom housings
i just got recommended to this video and i’m actually surprised how many subscribers you have, i can see how much effort you put into ur vids keep working bro i believe you can do it
C3 Tangerine smoothness, definitely a Vsauce worthy mystery. I loved that reference and laughed a bit too much on it.
i saw him eat the switches and instantly subbed
Only gave it an 8.8 out of spite for linears >:c
Linear gang rise up!!
*rises up*
Rem is best girl gang rise up
if he gave them 10/10, there wouldn't be any room for future, better switches

love the amazing content keep it up, you have taught me soo much
"it's like sliding your fingers on glars"
Have you ever thought about reviewing optical switches? I'd be interested on your take on them, as I must say they are the smoothest linears that I have ever used by far, but you definitely have more experience with the better switches out there.
3:22 why does this sound like mr crabs walking
Now i cant unhear it, thanks!
Gotta say though, those are some of the nicest looking switches I've ever seen in my life.

I hope you had a nice vacation. Good to have you back.
the video quality is getting even better! love the vids keep it up glarses
I was totally a tactile/clicky guy (came from the Model M). Tangerine's made me a fan of linear - but only with the heavier springs like you said. I'm typing on the 67g now.
I literally pogchamp my face when he put those switches on his mouth
Man you always make me smile. Awesome review.
Shoutout to the Vsauce music! Love it hahaha
these keys aesthetically? perfect
I'm using 62g version stock, I like them! been using mx red and my change was successful
just bought these for my first keyboard build, i am very excited
they were decent
Could you review the banana split switches that are also from C3?
My personal recipe for my favorite switch:
Start off with a batch of tangerines, open them up
Set stems aside, replace with invyr stems
Set springs aside, replace with sprit 72g progressive
Oil springs with gpl105
Lube housings and stem with 205g0
Insert Kelowna films
Bake in oven at 350f for 30 mins
Enjoy
Deliciously smooth recipe
@@Glarses Very smooth and the invyr stem really helps the sound
The lubed tangerines sound like typing on glass
I luv the good ol' smack on the bowl
The lube + film sound test sounds like a tap dripping multiple times a second
Idea: Using T1 Stems and using the tangerines housing, so you can have that smoothness but tactile at the same time
Tangies sound so good! Finna make my switch click 😫😫😫
I bet the pins were stabbing his mouth while we was enjoying the C3 Tangerines 0:12
3:22 i genuinely thought he uses a facecam and greenscreened himself on to the vid and just stares blankly at the camera
song in the beginning is named Machiru no Dolphin
I was like; "he ain't putting those in his mouth, right?"
Great Channel Man.. I'm brazilian and custom keyboard stuff it's almost impossible to get here, but you're helping me dream again, I'm building a custom board from the beginning! I got a redragon kumara, 90 gateron yellows, a foam, custom keycaps and a Mini USB card, to turn the board in detachable cable!! Thank you!!!
How do 120g spring swaps taste?
C3 Tangerines are really good. The build I did for my friend used them and I started questioning my choices for my own keyboard.
Man, love those random Mario related bgm
Phoenix: High Level Tactics, Yeah
Glarses: High Level Switches, Yeah
What was unclear from the video, Glarses, was... are these smooth?
I love the sound for some reason. I love them high pitched.
THE INTRO LMFAOOOOAOOAO
1:59 honestly, my only question now is.. how?
**VSauce music intensifies* *
The beginning was golden
so smooth.....just so smooth.....just.......
......so smooth.....
got my batch on my alphas and couldnt be happier
I can't afford gaterons and just watched this man stick tangerines in his mouth for a youtube video
Glad to wake up to a Glarses Video!
lol im about to go to sleep to the glarses video
@@fredneverdead773 I wish you a good sleep...meanwhile I have to go through school now
This are soo smoth that earth got flat
I was just wondering is it possible to use the tangerines in an keyboard that originally had mx black switches
I was watching when u had 500k subs very good job on ur vids keep up the good work
Stock tangies sound better than Lubed + filmed tangies imo
your channel is so freaking elite dude its unreal
Woah, thank you!
bro tangerines are literally my brand and i was contemplating on getting them but seeing the comparisons and my love for deep and "suction cuppy" sounds this might be the one for me
This dude moves to a different house each video
You should review bans splits since they are lightly pre lubed and nice sounding or idk and I’ve seen and influx of ppl getting interested because they don’t have to lube switches for 7 painful hours
The marquees brownley of keyboards
madman actually chalked mechanical switches down his shaft, respect.
RIP the switches who got eaten in the intro 0:00 - 0:10
Legends say he still saying:these are so smooth
I don't watch a ton of keyboard/keyswitch reviews. But I can't stop watching yours for some reason.
I just got the chance to test Tangerines, Ink Blacks, and Tealios recently. Somehow the Tangerines had the most scratch to them. Lubing all 3 of them makes it much harder to judge, but it was pretty obvious when stock that Tangerines weren't the smoothest of the three. Maybe there's some batch-to-batch variance?
i am typing this on a custom keyboard with C3 Tangerines at a slow pace because my keycaps have not arrived yet.
Glarses was right! these are super fricking smooth, dude.
Going from lubed and filmed yellows to stock tangerines was a hard switch. They're almost... too(?) smooth? I'm planning on putting some 90g springs (whatever that actually means) in them to see if adding some brute force helps the feeling.
It's almost like typing on air...
Man I really love your content. I just bought myself a set of creams so I cant'really justify tangerines but man you make them look appealing.
These switches feel amazingly smooth but the sound makes my ears BLEED
What do u think are the best mid range switches before I buy some random shit
@Oliver Ko if u can find alpacas then those are the ones. About 50 cents a switch. LUBED gateron yellows are very good because its very budget friendly. If you can find anything from jwk they will be exceptional. Of not, then gat yellows are nk creams, both should be lubed with krytox 205g0
Oliver Ko oh and black inks are very very good
now let's wait for the aubergine versions
Is it just me or do the sound tests sound like auditions for building lego in lego games like mans building a power up
I actually like how they sound, sounds like cracking bones lmao
I made my first ever switch purchase and chose tangies. I went with the 62's, so I hope I like them 😍
BABE WAKE UP, NEW GLARSES VIDEO
