I will just mention that the way Glarses redid the first one was much more impressive than the original, the original video was one keyboard that was split, but Glarses was typing with 2 full keyboards which gives a lot more chances for error
I like the Hatsune Miku Esc key one. The person made sure to put it in a way that every time they press 'Esc', the key right beside it will also be pressed. Genius design.

The Miku keycap set was actually really cute, I do wonder about the escape key being able to hit the 1 though. Also legit question am I the only one who likes 100% keyboards, basically everyone in these tiktoks are using smaller sizes.
Most people don't use the num pad all that much + if you just collect them you don't need full + a lot of companies only make keycap sets for smaller ones. 100% are nice if you do work on it, but past that I rarely touch the numpad, especially while gaming. A lot of sites also sell a the pads seperate from the main keyboard.

I got a hot swappable keyboard with mechanical switches because of you and Switch and Click. While I still do not trust myself to actually pull the keys out to replace them with something else, I am trying to get there thanks to your content. Again, thank you.
If you have the correct tool (just looks like a metal grabby thing) then it's pretty simple. Just gotta identify the two little tabs on the keyswitch, use the metal tool to squeeze in there. If you're not sure it's out all the way, let go, get a better fit, and squeeze again. It should just pop out once it's actually released.
i believe in you :) I pulled my switches (that i didn't care about because they were clicky) out by jamming a pair of L shaped tweezers and just rotated it until the switches went flying. I somehow didn't bend or break the pins, and if you have a switch puller (which i did not have at the time) there will be no problems. Although my board was a solder one so idk how it is with hot swappable sockets as i imagine they have a tighter fit than pcb desoldered throughholes

I feel your pain. I fell out of the mech keyboard hobby years ago, in large part because I felt like the products and content were more about looks than, I dunno, usability? Ergonomics? I say this as someone who types 7~8 hours a day for work - I love a beautiful keyboard, but it must be a solid and dependable tool that helps me work better, not just an expensive piece of desktop art. A lot of viral content feels very hollow. I think we can draw a parallel here to viral recipe videos: they're fun to watch and they're shareable, but how many people are actually going to try following those recipes themselves? It's spectacle. It's 30 seconds of "ooh, that looks great" before moving on to the next clip. Nothing wrong with being entertained by these videos, but it's frustrating if you care deeply about the craft and want something more substantial. Ultimately though, I think it comes down to the constraints of TikTok and the sorts of content that it selects for.

4:00 So I like learning different things and since acrylic nails are becoming very popular I was like ... why the hell not, besides I took some art lessons so I know how to use a paintbrush and feel comfortable around different materials, so , to answer your question, having nails,in general, for the first time, for me the experience was like having a little barrier between me and the world (I had short "Manly " nails, 1cm longer than a well-cut nail, and I bite my fingernails so my hands went from looking really shitty from looking good, you can make them look natural ) Before nails I did everything with the very tip of my finger, and after nails, I had to start using the lower end of my fingertips to actually make contact with the world ... so naturally the way your hand looks also changes because your move it more ...delicately since you make contact with things in a way than your nails and the tips of your fingers are pointing forward , I actually liked the way my hands looked when doing the motion of grabbing things, very smooth hand movements naturally come out.

there's literally nothing to be afraid of with a hot swappable keyboard. You literally need to pull it out and replace it with a new switch
