  • Some people said it only took a few hours for them to get their eVisas from Tajikistan online. We should have known that was too good to be true. Almost two weeks after applying for the visas, less than 24 hours before we were moving on from Samarkand we got our visas for Tajikistan to cross over to Panjakent. Instead of just scrapping them, we decided to go have a mad dash for qurutob. Warning, one lactaid is NOT enough if you are lactose intolerant.
We loved the experience, but if you have more time in Tajikistan, it is worth your effort.
If you are wondering what the border crossing was like, there's a q&a at the end. A lot of people had an awful time with corruption at the border, our experience was fabulous and filled with kind, welcoming people.

    About Us
We met in college and started a five year journey to graduate, get jobs, pay off student loans and save money to travel. After getting married we bought a one way ticket to Greece in July of 2021 and have been traveling around the Globe since. Living abroad definitely brings some unique experiences.
These laidback RUclips videos will be our way of keeping in touch with family and friends as we explore different countries, try new and strange foods (and of course pizza), and see how many times we can avoid airplane fares. These homevideos will be the only souvenir we end up with at the end (only because nothing else will fit in our bags).
    Thanks for watching!

Hi! Thank you guys for watching and commenting!! It was an absolute blast. It would have been cool to get to see the Pamir highway but I'm just glad we got to atleast have some qurutob there. The yurt in kyrgyzstan was also a highlight! It cost about $55 usd a night (but that's cause it's a super touristy, there are cheaper ones with less amenities but I wanted to be right on lake Issyk-kul and it was highly rated.). It was so peaceful there I would go back in a heartbeat
