Man. I know drivers who actively listen to the sounds to figure if something's wrong with the vehicle.
You are right even I do sometimes when driving inside our comfort zone will enhance the volume otherwise to a normal one just to see something outside happened should be always be in top priority even an accident far away or behind .

With this technology, you can cancel only some of the noises. For example, you can cancel every noise except the noise of the horn and music. That would even make the sound of the horn louder.

It would be very dangerous for the people who will accidently come in front of the vehicle.. Kids and animals would get killed and the driver won't get to know about it because of the noise cancellation... He won't be able to listen the scream of the things getting under the vehicle and specially in the night if someone accidently comes under the vehicle he would get killed and the driver won't be able to notice a bit about it.
