I appreciate UPP because they provide honest descriptions of the state of the camera and pictures of the actual thing you are buying (looking at you, KEH).
I've never been disappointed by a single thing I've purchased from UPP. All accurate descriptions/photos in the listings and even if the camera you're buying is beat up, they still take great care when packaging it for shipment.
Great video, enjoyed the vibe. The Used Photo Pro place is doing a great job recycling all the old retro film cameras and freshening them up for their new owners
The Fuji easy loading spool tip is just the level of nerdiness I needed. Fuji GW cameras tends to fat roll fairly often ! I'll be on the look out for these spools!!
I just recently started watching film photography videos again after years of dealing with medical issues. I want to say that your production and style have evolved so much, love your videos!
Been shooting an OM-2n for 30 years, I’d sell every other camera before I’d ever let it go, and if it breaks I’d replace it with another one. For me the best camera in the world
I am from Indianapolis. Roberts and UsedPhotoPro are the real deal. I have bought so much great, used Nikon glass. Prices are great. And the stuff I get is really in excellent condition. I buy on line and pick it up at the store. But if I didn't live in Indy, it would be just as easy to have them send it to me. Never disappointed.
Every day I wake up kicking myself for forgetting to bring my gold Ricoh to the event. Glad you enjoyed Indy despite the rain! It's cool to see a fresh perspective of a place I've spent so much time wandering.
Used Photo Pro / Roberts Camera is my all time number one resource for reliable gear. They have always delivered top notch customer service & great prices!
I’ve bought several items from UPP and have never been let down. I also buy from them because unlike KEH they show you the item you’re getting. They’ve always answered questions quickly too. Even though I have 3 Hasselblads just about died when they showed you that one.
I love UsedPhotoPro! I got a Nikon FM2n from them a couple of months ago and it is perfect and even had new light seals installed. Great dead mall photos too!
I have bought SO MUCH gear from Robert's it's good to see the faces of the people who work there. Even cooler to know it's a family owned business. Now I need to get my crocodile leather skinned OM2N and take it on a photowalk ✌🏽

UPP is great, I have bought some stuff from them. Their website is well organized, works well, and the photos of the actual items makes them first class for comprehensive info supporting the sale.
The OG OM's pretty much made me shelf all of my old Olympus Rangefinders. ( Except the 35RC ) Great little shooters and outstanding lenses as well. Usually for pretty low $
The Ricoh R1s is my FAVORITE pns. its so perfectly pocketable sharp lense. and the 28mm pano is cool. I wanna mod mine to have the pano doors not drop down.
Great video as always, thank you! I previously had OM-1n for one summer. I prefer some automatic function in camera so I eventually replaced it with OM-2n which was and upgrade for me. I have since sold all my other 35mm film gear, not including one point-and-shoot, and kept only the Olympus. I really like the ergonomics, very accurate lightmetering, sounds it make and how it feels and also the compact Zuiko lenses. I´ve had something like 50 camera so far and feel somewhat complete I found my jam. Olympus OM-20 is very good also and can be found quite cheap usually. Unlike OM-2 the OM-20 has illuminated shutter speeds in viewfinder which is neat. I had a mint one and gave it to my sister as christmas present. The point-and-shoot I kept is Canon Prima 5. It´s nothing really special other than it has a handy physical switch to turn flash off which doesn´t self-reset on it´s own and flash charges almost instantly which is handy.
I used to own an Olympus 35 RC, which I loved. Great lens. I replaced it with a Canon L1 from Used Photo Pro! They treated me very well! Got to work on new Bangers of my own!
I bought my OM4-Ti from Roberts Camera, came exactly as described, CLA'd in pristine condition, new in box. Great seller. If you ever want to get into the OM system, get your hands on the 28mm f2 and a high serial 50mm f1.4, you wont be disappointed ;)
Ahh my hometown, I spent many hours (and dollars) in this store! It's really cool to see you in there! UPP even comes out here to LA and buys stuff from my local camera shop (Pauls Photo) its cool to still be connected with them even though ive moved so far away.
I go through some cameras and they are really just things to me that are fun to use and pass on. That said, my om-2n, F3 and an x-700 are cameras I will ALWAYS have in my stable.
@@BadFlashes Montana, kinda feels like the middle of nowhere when it comes to more niche hobbies. i know there are a lot of people here who shoot film but there's just no community around it...
Nice find. How much was the OM? My late friend told me about Roberts camera. He was a fineart painter by trade but also was a film photographer. I think the video of opening the curtain would be a cool end to all your videos and maybe roll credits after it or over it. Salty was cool too.
Used Photo Pro is always my first stop if I am looking for something obscure. I have bought two focus hoods for my Mamiya C3 from them. Lenses for the C3 and EOS 1. Always great to buy from.

Besides, poor weather images are fantastic ! - Video @ 11:01 "OM2" - And if you do eventually acquire that Olympus, get the OM2n - That's the most improved version (Comfortable advance lever, exposure compensation shows in the viewfinder when set also has an extended auto exposure range etc.). Just haler "Gus" if you need to try an 'N' (specify black or chrome)
I only have experience with the OM-10 but I really love that camera. That 50mm zuiko lens is to die for. But, I have to be honest, ever since I got a 50mm for my Nikon FM2, it stole my heart. It just feels so much more solid and I never realized how much time I spent worrying about the safety of my OM-10 rather than enjoying the process. The FM2 feels like a camera I can rely on and I feel like it makes me a better photographer. Also I really like the manual aspect which just allows me to choose in the moment if I wanna treat it as shutter or aperture priority. Though I do usually just leave the shutter at 1/125th for convenience sake.
Comparing OM10 with FM2 is not quite fair. FM2 equivalent would be OM2 (or OM2n). Build quality is really not the same between single digits (Pro) and double digits (consumer) Olympus OM cameras!
@@stratocactus that's absolutely true but my first camera was an OM-10 I got from my grandparents so that's the only one I can really speak on. And the FM2 replaced it as my main camera so that's why I'm comparing them.
