Holy cow!! How many times has a gawdy piece like that made into the landfill because it's just so stinking outdated? And then look what you did to it!! It's incredible!! You have an amazing eye!
Outdated is EXTREMELY IN NOW. one of the reasons is because a dresser from the last 20 years is not solid wood and is in the landfill because the drawers broke. Mid century modern is what everyone is denanding especially vinetage and not copies of vinetage like most designers are doing. I would kill for this peice even before she did her magic
It actually saddeneds me when I see pieces going to the landfill, ive redone over a 100 pieces and would love to save all of them from this fate!!!!

Thank you for keeping and loving the natural wood elements, its nice to not see chalk paint slapped on every surface. Not that I hate chalk paint but that’s 99% of “restored” furniture channels now. You and DIY WIFE have become my favorites at the moment.

Yes you are very thorough. It's important especially if you are selling the piece. I have seen other RUclipsrs who only focus on painting pieces that you see but not the inside. I do that too but I repaint furniture for my home only

Really admire that you managed to make over a poor old monster into something so sleek and desirable. You've given this dresser gravitas! I love all your choices here, the black metal hardware on matte black, the contrast between pale washed wood and darkly painted drawers. Of all the very cool furniture artists who participated in the $100 Challenge, your aesthetic is definitely closest to mine. Better still, the skills and care you put into your work are second to none.
