How to make soft and fluffy Scones

  • The aroma of freshly baked bread in the kitchen makes me so happy. And when it comes out this soft, it makes me even happier. This recipe for my soft scones using the New #BlueBand Baking Margarine is fail-proof. It requires no extra tools and no complicated processes. Just follow the recipe step by step and you will never be buying scones from the supermarkets again.
    Ingredients:
    1/4 cup Blue Band Baking Margarine
    1 cup warm milk
    2 1/4 tsp yeast
    2 tbsp sugar
    1 large egg
    1 tsp salt
    3 cups plain flour

    Thank you for the recipe for SCONES. In Kenya these are SCONES. Imagine going to your local grocery store and asking for buns 😆. Scones is what we grew up calling them.

    It would have been better if instructions were consistent. For instance, how much flour and yeast is needed?

      @@man_vs_pantry well they aren't called scones. Scones are supposed to be crumbly and a little hard. I grew up in Africa too, Kenya to be specific. 🙄🙄
      What she made is called buns. Google scones to see the pics and stop embarrassing yourself.

    How do you make the yeast bloom?

      Hello, once the yeast, sugar and warm water have been mixed the mixture will bloom in a few minutes.

    Never have i tired a recipe and it turned out so bad, tried 3 times with different yeast, it was simply a disaster. And the yeast didn't bloom.

      That's such a shame, did you use warm water for the yeast, if it's too hot or too cold it won't activate.

      If the water temperature is too hot or cold it will not bloom. It should be lukewarm,

      Where we live those specific ones are called scones, but yes also bread. Still delicious, hope you try out the recipe 😁
