    Thank you for the clear explanation. I do lots of DIY work on regular basis, so that replacing the battery was lots of fun. Watching the video as a guide is a real time saver. The need to adjust the position of the trackpad before fastening the screws was probably the only part that I would have missed if it wasn’t for your explanation. Thank you for this guide.

    Excellent instruction! Just the exact right amount of detail! Took me an hour or so, but very doable! Unfortunately I got into the battery removing the adhesive which lead to a small fire and lots of sparks, but everything turned out ok. Be careful folks!! Thank you so much!!! I could NOT have done this without your video.

    Thank you, good sir. You got me back and running. The battery was expanding on mine -- there was a chemical smell being given off that I suspected was toxic or simply not good to be breathing in. I think I took a good 3 hours, being as careful as can be. I had an ooops moment when I accidentally pulled the tab off of the power strip! But after that I treated everything like I was handling dynamite! Thanks again, man

    Excellent video, but I do feel the need to emphasize just how easy it is to breach the battery cells while removing the adhesive. Even with an appropriate pry tool and careful, deliberate action, I ended up with a mess of torn battery casings and, yes, several small fires. Seriously unnerving, and somewhat embarrassing to confess, but perhaps it will help to prevent a similar experience for anyone else.

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  Год назад +2

      Yup, this exactly! Using non metallic tools won't prevent puncturing or causing fires. The battery is made of metals. Lol Puncturing it with anything can cause a fire because the lithium reacts to the air, not the tools.

      @@AustinPetDetective it's designed to be thrown away...That's apples idea of being "green". They sell you a phone without a charger, but design it to be thrown in the trash.

    Suction cup. pry tools. What if the battery is swelling so much that you easily get a fingernail in between the base and the board as it is?

    Thankyou! I was able to replace the battery and it was working fine. But today I have come back to my macbook and it is dead and won't charge, it won't boot up and only flashes the charging icon for a few seconds. I've left it on charge overnight and there is still no change! Any ideas?

      Either the connector isn't lined up, or the battery is bad or was damaged. Check the ribbon cable as well.
