- Spyro The Dragon is one of my all time favorite franchises and with my hopes still set high for an HD Remaster in the near future after Crash Nsaine Trilogy I wanted to talk about some great Spyro Fan Games in the works like Artisans Revisited, Morta’s Mayhem, Myths awaken and more!

Spyro is a series of platform video games which primarily features the protagonist Spyro the Dragon and his friend, Sparx the Dragonfly. Since the series' introduction in 1998, there has been a complete reboot to the series called The Legend of Spyro trilogy, making it a total of ten Spyro games and three Legend of Spyro games. The Spyro series has sold more than 20 million units worldwide. The first ten Spyro titles and The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning were distributed by Universal Interactive Studios, while The Eternal Night, Dawn of the Dragon and The Skylanders chronology were distributed by Activision Blizzard.

I'm going to check that out, used to have such a negative opinion of reddit cuz of hearing bad shit and what not, But iv'e so far found it to be a pretty cool place (guess it depends what section you are in.) it's helped me lots.

Great coverage of these fan games. Also, learning that Spyro's FNAF adventure had a sequel I died of laughter. But awesome video.
His reaction to Gold Time was the fucking end of me, especially when he threw alcohol onto it and blew up his computer.
It sucks that all of these are not really being made anymore. But it’s cool to go back and see what could’ve been.
The games certainly were interesting but the last one is definitely the most exciting. For a fan made game, that looks insanely incredible and I agree that if Vicarious Visions are watching, they should follow that example if they ever plan on doing a complete ground up remaster. :)

OH MAH GOOOOD- "Spyro (Unity Engine)" never changed, just finally got a name and refined assets, same people working on it since it was conceived first under Blender's game engine. :V

If i had to guess the red box would be used in conversations, a model of spiro talking would be placed in there and would then display in the top-right corner along with his dialogue, ive seen something simmilar done in other games.
Nope :P The red box is actually something i call "studio" where the placeholder gem is located. The one that displays when you collect gems. That's why when he breath fire through the box it was displaying in upper right corner :D It acts as a "green screen" and makes the stuff inside display without background.

Spyro Myths awaken just got taken down by Activision.
Spring Savanna and Myths Awaken look ORGASMIC!, no other games in the world look more awesome to me, aside from those I really like the look of Morta's Mayhem but unlike SS and MA we don't hear much about them so I don't really know what to expect from it yet, also the 2D Spyro game actually looks really cool!, also you say help them out on patrion but they Don't want to except any money because.. Well you know it's a licenced IP.... Which makes me sad because if I could I would donate SO MUCH!!!! Money to the SS and MA teams on a regular basis, any spare money I have would go straight to them for making my life long dreams come true.

ok reinstalling these on my new computer, some are no longer available but as for some they've moved in development or changed IPs but I'm having trouble getting both versions of Artisans Revisited, I can get the tech demo just fine but the Christmas Version is lost now for some reason

Nice, didn't know there were so many, i made my own Spyro level in unreal a while back but stopped working on it. After the success of the crash bandicoot remake i think Spyro is definitely next.
I hope these dont get shut down because of reignited. Id still love to play them.

The red box is probably a sky box that counts the gems by teleporting them there and changing a number that flashes

If they can get Myths Awaken to have the level of detail as Spring Savanna, it will easily be my official Spyro 4 game. There will be no more need for Enter the Dragonfly. They're prototype version already looks awesome!
Project Nitro is looking more like indie game,but it uses fonts from Spyro 1,2,3 and Enter the Dragonfly and bolts objects just like in Ratchet and Clank.Btw that Spyro 2D is looking like Terraria.

+Hunter Burnette I made 2 spyro fan game videos in the past but they were only on 2 separate games and they were both really bad. So i unlisted those and made this video that showed off way more games and I think is a much better video.
That is literally how i felt but with The Unity spyro fan game on Valefor's channel. (no it wasn't any of the others, they don't look as "nice" and "Lush and alive" as Val's it was CLEAR as day, i saw everything - but..it was a dream. About a year or more ago. .- . i didn't think it'd actually happen lol.. and ; "I had a dream someone remade the entire spyro game from scratch" - IE : it wasn't the entire game. Just the home world. But still...WTF dejavu
This is kind of unrelated, but I managed to 99% Eternal Night and unlock a super special something. You are still yet to.
Since this year is the 20th anniversary of Spyro, they might as well finish one by the time Christmas 2018 comes around.
We need reboot of Spyro eclipse, but I'm 6 years behind tho.

JKJK, this came out great though, you did an overall fantastic overview of what the community has created over the years, so glad to see so much currently in the works, it just blows my mind.
I'm so glad I gave you this suggestion, this will be a great way for many more people to find out about these games, which trust me, the devs have been working super hard on. They are very passionate about it, and anyway to help spread the word is great!

I have plans to continue the legend of spyro game series. I already have a majority of it planed. It will take place 1 year after the 3rd one ended with more free roam and more characters

I would like it if someone would make a Spyro game with elements from the Legend of Zelda. Like have Spyro go through dungeons to push blocks & light torches. All that cool puzzle solving stuff that made Zelda so great. I feel that Spyro barely does much outside of collecting gems.
