How I Make Handmade Ceramic Mug at Home: from Beginning to End - Slow and Mindful.

- After months of research and failure, I finally found my signature cups design that I liked visually yet comfortable to hold. Nevertheless, the process of making this handbuilding cup is quite long (I've tried my best to cut the footage as much as possible 😅).
However, I apologize if the cup that I made in this video has a different decoration from the thumbnails because I haven't fired the one in this video. Also, the foot that I made here is slightly different from the results because I forgot to make it like that 😓 my bad. But other than that, everything's the same!
Anyway, in this video, I'll show you the in-depth process of my handmade pottery cup. From a lump of clay to a cute little cup! This may be the longest video I've done, but that's how I made the cups; slow and mindful.
Please support me by subscribe, comment, share, and like this video. It would mean a whole world to me, thank you. ❤

Hi there! I just released new pottery artworks that you can purchase on my Etsy: www.etsy.com/shop/sadurstudio# - It would mean a whole world to me if you support my small business! Thank you 💛
I love what you said about handmade pottery being able to showcase the maker's thoughts, feelings and struggles. I've been learning pottery for a few months now and hand building is my absolute favourite. Also, a part of my morning routine is to drink coffee while watching your videos. Love the aesthetics and how it's shot.

Thank you for this video Khonsa! I had I rough start into the day but after watching I feel more calm :)
I just love everything about this video. It’s really inspiring and it made me quite zen while watching it (I was a bit stressed when I started). I especially love your vision that it doesn’t have to be perfect and that it’s a good thing to go slow, I also love the simple design and glazes. You inspired me to to try something similar. Thank you that and for this beautiful video!
Beautiful video, art and message💕

Stunning❤
Absolutely beautiful and calming to watch. I’ve recently joined a ceramic class, I find the teaching a bit limited as I do love to work with my hands and imagination, I love this, the originality and unique design makes it more personal and as you say, it has your soul within. ❤️🙏❤️
Really beautiful pieces of art. The design for the decorations remind me of an afternoon sun seen through swamp canes
You're videos have a really good vibes for me.🥺♥️🍓

Very beautiful 😊😊
Love your video so much I am trying to make. 🤗
I’ve always wished I could make beautiful pottery. I had to give it up after just a couple months due to a bad thumb and a large cyst on the palm of my dominant hand. Gorgeous work though. Your videos are always so relaxing yet captivating.
Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that 😟
I don't know how's exactly your condition is, but have you heard of a mini pottery wheel? It's super tiny to the point you only need a few of your fingers! Thank you for watching my videos though. 💛
Obrigada
Beautiful ❤ pls. Share glazing video as well. I love pottery but haven't started yet so this type of video is helpful. Hope to start my pottery journey someday😊
so cool
Hi makaci
For leveling the rim of the ceramic mug instead of pinching it trying to make it even you can put a little amount of water on concrete (or a surface with that kind of gritty texture) and move the mug in a circular motion. You would have to make sure after to fix the rim where it would be sippable before you fire it in the kiln. I did this when I was making a ceramic bowl and it worked wonders!
Preciosas 😍
Beautiful work! The more I see your videos they make me not wanting the wheel. We don’t get clay here so I have processed my own so basically it is earthenware and I am finding it difficult to hold the shapes. Your work is inspiring and gives me a new task everyday will keep trying.
Woah that's so cool! I personally have never tried to make my own clay. :') keep up the good work, you can always experimenting with the clay recipes to make it work out!
יופי מעשיר ברעיונות ותודה על השיתוף. ישראלה
LemieClay: Love your mugs! Knowing how much clay you use per items would be really helpful! I know this mug you are making, the scale said 255 but what is that, I am thinking almost a pound per mug, but again knowing the weight helps all mugs be more uniform and same size! Thank you!
Thank you for the informative video, I would’ve much appreciated if you showed the glazing and firing as well
Seneng ada orang Indonesia yang punya hobi yang sama, halo ka, aku baru mulai belajar pottery😊. Semoga kita bisa jadi temen ya☺
Hai Leni! Wah, semangat belajar pottery nya! Would love to be friend with you 💛
Hi! Can you make a video about the glazing process and the name of the différents colors you use ? Thank you so much for your beautiful videos! 😊
😍😍😍😍😍👌👌👌
This video is amazing! What camera did you use?
Thank you :) It's actually an old camera 😅 It's Nikon D3100
Hi what is your glazing method ! do you put your pots in a kiln before or after your glaze ?
hi do you glaze them and then fire them after left to airdry ? also what is in the liquid used to bond ? wet clay?
that was awsome! how long does it take you to finish one mug with your hand? “like without a machine”
Around 1 hour for shaping, but not including the firing and glazing process 😊
Your videos are the most enjoyable to watch. 🤍🫖🍶
Is the video filmed by yourself? It's really impressive.
Yes, I filmed it by myself :) Thank youu
HELLO WHERE DO YOU GET THE CLAY ITSELF OR DID YOU MAKE YOUR OWN MIX
Can you show us your kiln and how to use it?

How do you do this. I tried atleast 10 times. I am not able to get this basic shape. I am doing pottery for the 1st time😥🤭
It's okay to fail! I used to be like that too at first. Try to do it more slowly :)
Ini keringinnya pakai firing ga ya? Dan keringinnya berapa lama?
Halo kak! Iya kak harus dibakar (firing), tetapi sebelum dibakar harus kering dulu yaah, biasanya makan waktu 3-7hari tergatung cuacanya kak. 😁
