Thank you for not putting obnoxious music in the background or obscuring the screen with captions and annotations. So pure, so calm. Wonderful to watch!
Yes, great style. It was a little bit long. I could have used a little bit of commentary. Maybe in the style, some brief intermittent meditative teaching comments. Wonderful way to present, thank you.
This reminds me that I need to discipline myself to sit down and make the same form over and over, and be willing to destroy everything I make, in order to get true control of the clay. It's a very common exercise for potters learning in the Asian cultures and that's why once they reach that journeyman to Master status, they're so amazing and intuitive when they make things!
The amount of solutions this man has to my pottery problems is truly astounding! The measuring tools and damp box alone will save me so much headache. Much appreciated!
Just finished going through your website, and i especially love your wood and lacquer. its really amazing too se work that is so simple and true to itself, thanks for sharing what you do!
Thank you for this unique view. The close-ups of the softly shimmering gold inner glaze are especially breathtaking. A Scots Gaelic toast to your good health: Slàinte Mhath!
That's a lot of whiskey! My only critique is that, personally, I would want the inside of the cup to be pure white so I can enjoy the color of the whiskey as well. Would be cool to see your take on the Scottish Glencairn glass.
Beautiful and enchanting! Your work looks a sacred ritual, silent and devoted. Real pleasure to watch! I like the shapes and glazes for these cups. Thank you for sharing!
Looks like a Shimpo. Lovely little wheels which are reversible. Some of my students are Japanese and appreciate being able to throw in the direction they are used to.
. wonderful to watch in almost silence! Contrast this with potters like Simon Leach who seem to be in love with their own voice/pretentious gestures . .
I’m looking forward to seeing you on The Ceramic School- Continental Congress, I hope you show how you made the texture on the bowl in your advertisement for this event.
@SHINOBU HASHIMOTO after the cups have been fired I see you rubbing/burnishing them with a rotary tool and by hand. Can you explain what you are using and what the purpose of that step is? I imagine it is to take some of the gloss of the items but would love to know what you are doing.

five thumbs up for this!!! i absolutely vehemently hate background music

@@genin69agreed, background music, especially lame obnoxious annoying short loops, can really destroy a video.

So much work goes into these whiskey cups, it’d better be REALLY GREAT whiskey that goes into the cup! They are absolutely gorgeous, by the way.

Watching that perfectly centered cup while everything spinning around it looks off… amazing

Astonishing amount of work and care.
Stunning glaze finishes!
I'd love some more explanation of your techniques shown in the video. The sanding after firing. Those cups are great!
just as the cup was turned right side up I thought the inside of it had some sort of fancy dark blue purple wave pattern to it.

Gd craftsmanship
Whats the purpose of making the little feet on the cups to bake them? Seems you could use some little trivets and save the time of grinding them off?
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Bravo!!
Wow!
i would love to know what you are putting on for each layer
