okey, so she does two incredibly hard things: creates a piece of art only using black and white and manages to show emotions and generate feelings in the person looking at them and that is probably the most important aspect of being an artist. You can make us feel things and engage in the story of your pieces, feeling like we´re part of this beautiful imaginary world. I really don´t think there´s a better indicator of being a great artist. Thank you!
The story of the mother and daughter wolves is really cool! It sounds like a real legend from mythology ^^ Also your drawings convey a lot of feelings, you should be proud!!
I've been binge-watching your videos all evening!! I can't get enough :D Your videos are so informative and its awesome hearing the thought and care put into each drawing, I aspire to be like this
Watching you talk about your work and your thoughts gives so much more value, considering that even with the process videos you watch about.. 40-50% of what's really behind each piece. It made me so happy to hear you talk about your goals, and how close you got to them (I got especially excited when I heard you saying that some works exceeded your expectations!! It's such an amazing feeling to surprise yourself
I really love your work and I love watching you paint! I'm also interested in watching you draw and do the linework. My favorite is the sad one with mother and daughter wolf :)
I love this! I would love more detail on how you do your ink washes, the technique behind watering down your ink and different brushes. :) These are all amazing!
I saw these the other day when I visited dA. So gorgeous! I also love your tiny fluffy brush. I makes an awesome texture :D I would totally get a mushroom puma from you one day XD
I would say that my top 3 are your - day 4 (2 dogs and one person with masks on- I like the apocalyptic drama), Day 16 (lion running with birds- reminds me of The Lion King, but in Christmas spirit) and day 25 (reindeer with lanterns- feels spiritual). Otherwise I like your dry brush rendering style of rendering a fur (day 2). As for the story, I would say, is the one where mother loses her daughter (day 18).
I want to start working in ink, but I’m afraid that it will ruin my good kolinsky sable watercolor brushes. Would you suggest getting a separate set of faux sable brushes to use solely for ink? Because I really don’t have the money to buy a bunch more real sable brushes. Do you find that the ink is really rough on the brushes? I have a big bottle of yasutomo sumi-e ink, but I have been hesitating about using my good brushes with it. By the way, I love your style and I agree with you about your choice of your best inktober drawing; that one really did come out amazing
Does anyone else think 2 hours for one of these pieces is pretty quick?
she has a ton of skill
Reaching this level of skill yeah its possible. coloring takes way longer
