YES, It's like I'm so close to just going down to the entrance sign, but then the pathfinder just goes all the way around walking against the fence, and then goes out to the pathway. Like the most unnecessary route to take
@jetrvoox5677 If you make frame perfect half step and pause in-between each half step, you could save a ton of in-game time. This isn't exact, but think of walking from your farm to Pierre's it maybe takes 30 in-game minutes, but with pause buffering, it could only take 10

It's that the weather is tied to the step count (among other things) and those half steps don't count as steps so they can fully manipulate the weather by knowing how many steps they took in a day - rather than it just being about increasing the chance. (but also that was on 1.5) Edit: the half steps not counting as steps is purely just to make the manipulation easier because there's less chances to miscount
@vickyt99 but why? What is the point of doing that? Taking away the fun of the game seems pretty counter intuitive. It's not a super deep game, min maxing it just makes no sense.
@voltsnbolts8879 that's one of the great things about stardew - there's so many ways to play and it doesn't matter to anyone else how you choose to play. Min maxers in stardew push the game to it's limits and do things you wouldn't think are possible and some of us enjoy watching them do it :)

I dont get why the need of minmaxing and speedrun i just play this because it can ease my anxiety and calm my mind i guess that's their playstyle but it just takes the magic of the game.. because i also tried to minmax at my first playthrough because of 20 tutorial and guide i watch always saying do this do that, dont do this dont do that, and i'm like "gotta need to follow instruction" so i always have my wiki on my background, have a note beside me incase i forgot what i need to find and i missed one in summer season didn't get what i want, i think it's fishing one and it completly broke me so i played the rest of the season not having fun anymore and minmax much more.. then i finished the community center, i'm happy but it's like the feeling of "fvcking finally your done piece of shit" so i stop for years and now came back and just play like i how wanted to play, without the notes, wiki and the pressure of missing something. The part of me years ago still resides with me, like a fvcking ghost telling me what do "Hey.. bitch you fvcking forgot to do this, you're supposed to have this in this time of day now you gotta miss it and wait for next season" i'm like "bitch i'm you! let me play the game" 😂 so i just balance it out when there's something rare i need to find i focus on that but not too much if i didn't get at this certain of time "it is what is" and just continue to play 😂

Playing on phone: just tapping the desired spots and let them walk themselves
As a phone gamer as well, you can check out the settings and used joystick if you were comfortable.
I only use joystick when doing mines, dungeons with monsters

What was the half-stepping for the first min-max one?
The less steps u take increases chances for rain so they will half step to not fully count as steps to increase rain chances
