Thank you for the excellent review! I am sure people who are curious about this scent will have a better understanding of its scent development because you describe it so well! In 2022 Zoologist will explore the even colder South Pole :)
If Zoologist ever tries to explore fictional animals and creatures, I would be so thrilled if you themed one around a mermaid :D

Tom, you are a real wordsmith of the English language and seem to capture the heart and essence of every fragrance exactly. This Snowy Owl review was so vivid and I think I will be adding it to my Nightingale. I always know from your description if a scent might be for me. Thank you.

I just got my sample. Oh dear, I really love it! And the owl portrait is perfect. Zoologist is simply the best.
Ironically - snowy owl sings in hot weather. It mellows out from its slight astringent greenness in to a cooling musk bomb that gives the cuddly ness of a vanilla without being cloying in the heat. Another masterpiece 🎉
The quiet hush is a major part snow. I can’t wait to get my hands on this.

Beautiful backdrop, snowy jumper. Reveiw sounds like something I would love. I'm a Zoologist virgin so possibly good place to start 🦉 ❄
I'd recommend Musk Deer, Chameleon, or Hummingbird for some other safe Zoologist options that are already out! Looking forward to Snowy Owl too

Oh no don’t start with this one, it’s a waste of money. It’s not good. There are many nice ones and some really bad ones too in this perfume house. Be very careful. I suggest buying their 2ml decants. That’s what I did. This way you’ll find your favorites

I've been thinking about a Zoologist for a year or so. This one sounds really intriguing, I think it might be a good choice for me....
Perfect. You hit it perfectly!
I eventually got it. It smells so good! And the performance seems not so poor, actually. First thing that comes to my mind: Santal 33. I know, sounds crazy, this one's not woody/spicy, and it is fresher, yet it has a similar green, cucumber-like vibe, that is the first thing to strike my nose in both. In snowy owl this accord is pivotal, and a little stronger: everything is centered around it. After a while it "opens up", and the green becomes baby grass sprouting through snow, as you were suggesting. Not sure I get any coconut, though. Probably it blends with mint and the snow accord to give that fresh soft green grass feel. I like it a lot. PS: I have to edit this, after one hour wearing the coconut emerges substantially as soft, natural-smelling coconut meat, nothing. to do with suntan. lotion kind of smell.
I went to the source and ordered squid 🦑🐙 travel size 50$ and penguin 🐧 🥶❄️ I can't wait to get this house let's go it arrives in two days 😁

Thank you Tom. This sounds like a strong pass for me. There is nothing about this fragrance that appeals to me. Not to mention the poor longevity, and price.
Same here . I have my 6 favorites from this house. And 12ml decants of a few more that I like and that’s it. These bottles are not cheap at all so if I’m not blown away, I’m not buying it.

I see coconut I stay away and I hate eucalyptus sooo much. This one is not for me. That’s ok, I own way too many perfumes from Zoologist.

Same! And they're releasing the reformulations of Dragonfly and Macaque next year as well. Zoologist takes all my money lol
