Great channel bro........blows my mind that I'm 55 now and remembering early/mid 80's listening and loving these guys when most of the population didn't even know who they we're.......when I heard they we're coming to New Haven Ct.....LOST MY MIND, the concert was MIND BLOWING!!!!!!
Jason really got the chance of a lifetime when he was hired by them. I'll always miss him. Also i think Blackened is the better opener, but Creeping Death is the ultimate.
Lars looses the beat towards the end, I think he's played it better than this so wouldn't rate it as the best performance of that song. That was fast even by their standards, so could take the fastest version title maybe haha. Good energy.
There s others shows better in 1990, 1989 and 1988 where he plays it almost note for note. People point Lars by easy but sometimes its James that fucked up in that section and Lars recovered up and James re changed it, i saw others lives. The song is not easy to play though so night by night considering the state of mind of physical it happens to have littles things gere and there. The main thing is well done. By that time their shows were already above 2 hours long. People don't realize that beside conditions and body work you have more chances to make mistakes even little than an average 45 min /1h show like most people do.
