MPC needs to have more cruiseports included. Cape Liberty Bayonne, Brooklyn and NYC West Side are not included. Why? NYC Harbor is a major port for cruise ships coming in.
I will be traveling back to the US from Laos. To fly back, I will need to go to Korea first, then transfer to Toronto before heading back to Minnesota. Do I submit my form at Toronto’s preclearance line or in Minnesota’s pre clearance/Mobile Passport Control line? I’m sorta confused as to when and where to use it.
Are you allow to used wifi on phone to get thru customs? then once you're about to get on the plane, You must turn on airplane mode right.... I have never used my phone like this so I'm learning. I hit subscribe also because this has so much info that makes me happy to hear
This will be for when you get off the plane and arrive in the US. So you can use the WiFi in the airport to fill out the information for this app. You will then get a QR code to show at immigrations. You should have no problem with using the WiFi or cellular at the airport/immigration. Airplane mode is used for when on the plane but you can still use the plane’s WiFi if available (some are free and some are for purchase)
@@TheAdventureBuddies I didn't know about it either because I'm not a frequent flyer. I just happened to slept my way through the flight no food either woke up turn to passenger and ask about the form they usually sent around to fill out and that's when they told me literally the plane land and I got service to download the app
The app has changed to MPC mobile passport control. But the functionality should still remain the same. If you download the old one it should automatically redirect you to this new one
I'm in need of a passport since I have a few Airline Interviews for flight attendant positions but you have to have a passport before you go off to 6 week training, and I have never flown before. I'm trying to avoid and work my way around expedited services and fees, and then the mobile app popped up on the Gov site. I wonder if this is the best site? and can I still use it if I do not have an actual physical on hand passport? isn't this what the app is used for and the point of uploading documents? I am born and raised in Texas so I am an U.S Resident
This app only gets you thru customs quicker, essentially a digital version of the customs form you’d normally have to fill out by hand. So this would not replace your physical passport nor would I think (don’t quote me) it would pass for your specific requirements?
@@TheAdventureBuddies lol thanks, I decided to just go and get a passport. Because in the app you have to have passport information to set up your traveler information if you choose the passport option
Very confusing presentation on the new CBP MPC app. By adding info on Global Entry, an entirely different program, you’re providing a conflation between the two that might confuse a lot of people. Please consider revising this video to discuss only MPC.
@@TheAdventureBuddies I just downloaded everything. Does the airport have access to this? Do we show them at the airport? I applied for global entry but I have not heard anything back yet
@@truthhurts7045 so most major US International airports will have it. You can always fill out the declaration paperwork on the plane just to have just in case they don’t. And yea global entry seems to be backed up on appts.

To be honest we’ve never used MPC for cruise ports, but makes sense!
Used MPC at LAX last night 5/1/22 at 8:40 actually faster than Global Entry.
Exactly! Thanks for sharing the success! Hoping more people learn about this

There will be signs and a line for it when you get to customs & immigration. These are only in US airports, so you should only have to do it in MN
@ Toronto is the 13 international countries that have MPC.

Are MPC lanes (i.e. EWR) open 24/7 or do they have specific operating hours?
Great question. Honestly don’t know, assumed it was always open
I was extremely happy I did mobile passport. I think I spent 15 or less to go through jfk airport.
So glad to hear! Surprised on how many people don’t use it or don’t even know about it!
