Great to see you back producing your lovely snippets of history and culture. Alfa Romeo tested its 1900M "Matta" off-roader on the Monte Stella, as it wasn't far from the Portello :)

Yes, Harris was a cruel monster. He did once mention some slight regret after the war.
Surprisingly, I realized I knew nothing of this bombing of Italy, except for the Last Supper's survival. Your videos are all very fine. I share them with my Italian friends.
My father Alberico, served in the Medical Corps. Never talked about it much. Once, he did tell me that he asked a preist "Why are we Catholic Italian Americans over here fighting Italian Catholics and killing each other?" Apologies if I offend.

Harris was not a cruel monster. He was instead the "lesser of two evils" ruclips.net/video/uJB4hbGUjw4/видео.html

Very interesting and enlightening video. Thanks very much.
The graffiti on that statue at video's end … "Shame" indeed.

The british empire was one of the most racist and brutal empires in history. Genocides and crimes against himanity that you can't even imagine.

Duomo main carved portal carries some visible damage on little figures when it was hit by debris.
