My Mom collected rocks . Each time she had a chemo treatment, she picked up a stone from their dry riverbed. Mom passed 3 years ago, so I just painted each stone into colorful ladybugs for my garden. Thanks for your inspiration 🙏
So cute! I was in lack of inspiration and I saw your video! About to finish my first ladybug and it's lovely ! I think i'm gonna do some more and hide them as little Spring presents around town. Thank you for sharing your creative positivy energy! You made my day!
Aww thank you Ophelie! I'm so glad you loved the tutorial. 💕 That is such a great idea about hiding them around town! 😁💕 I'm happy to hear I made your day and you have returned the feeling with your kind comments ❤️🤗
Can make 2 colors of lady bugs and create a tic-tac-toe game, sew a lil draw string bag or buy one to keep the rock game pieces in. Or even better yet, do a connect four for older persons. Fun forever and good memories. Thank you for sharing this video. Because sharing is caring.
I let my Great Niece know about your channel so she can do this with her son, my Great Great Nephew! She paints superbly and is teaching her son to paint, just like her!
Haha awww you are most welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed watching it and I appreciate your kind words Nikki ❤️ Gavin says thank you for the mention! 😉🤗💕
Brilliant. What a great craft to do and share. ❤️ it! They turned out great. Gavin’s ladybug is sooo cute. I like all three colors. Really enjoyed this video.
Hi Jenni! I am so sorry I didn't reply this comment was in a Held for Review and I didn't know that was a thing haha, my apologies! I hope you enjoyed the ladybug painting! Thank you so much for watching my tutorial :)
You and Gavin have created an awesome video!! ..I have shared your series with my niece and her young son...awaiting their awesome results...Thank you for your kindness for others!!
Greetings from Ontario Canada.🍁 Very informative video. I appreciate the idea of using the toothpick to paint the line down the middle of the ladybug 🐞. Gavin did an awesome job on his ladybug.🐞 I'm in the process of painting Ladybugs 🐞🐞 while waiting the Paris 2024 Olympics. I plan to make a "Ladybug Crossing" sign to set up with my ladybugs 🐞🐞🐞. Enjoy your day.😊
Very helpful video, I want to learn rock painting to do it with my grand children 😊 Kindly could you give some more details that what kind of colors should we use and other materials required.
Aww thank you so much Sherman! 😁🙏 That's a great idea! I will add them to my list of tutorials to do! Thank you so much for the sweet comment and awesome request! 😁
I was wondering what brand of paint you use? You definitely get a better single coverage than I do. I would have to paint over the rock initially 4, 5, or 6 times just to get that base coat coverage that you have. 😊 thanks
@anned372 I do have some folk art, and some plaid. And some random ones from Hobby Lobby period of course all of them are kind of old and maybe they just don't have good coverage😅
Hi Diane my sincere apologizes for not replying your comment was in a held for review area I didn't know existed! We were able to find a few stones out in nature but you can find them at home depot stores where you buy landscaping rocks or in little bags of stones at the dollarstore or craft store! :)
I have tried a brush on sealer, & it smeared the paint on my rock. I made sure it was completely dry before I did that. Have you run into the situation? It might be easier to do a spray on…?
Hi Penny! I will add it to my list of tutorials for sure! Thank you for the request! 😁 I haven't done either of those before so I am looking forward to the new challenge! 🤗💕 I will create this as soon as I can!
Hi Lesley! You can use anything you have at home to create dots with - pencils, nails, tacks, toothpicks, chopsticks, end of a paintbrush or makeup brush, anything that has a round or flat circle end on it will work. I didn't have any dotting tools when I first started I just did a scavenger hunt of my house to see what I could find that would work 😊
@robinmanzanares3106 Rocks from outside or hardware store/landscaping company that sells rocks, paint is acrylic paint you can buy in small bottles at any craft store, dollar store, Walmart, etc. Hope this helps!

Hi Diane my sincere apologizes for not replying your comment was in a held for review area I didn't know existed! Thannk you!
🥰 You are most welcome and thank you for watching Suzanne! 🙏🤗
I have a hard time getting the dotting tools to make a good circle on curved and uneven rocks. Any suggestions?
Thank you
What clear sealer do you use to protect your rocks after painting. Especially for outside.
Hi if I'm making stones for outside I definitely use an epoxy resin finish
I have tried a brush on sealer, & it smeared the paint on my rock. I made sure it was completely dry before I did that. Have you run into the situation? It might be easier to do a spray on…?
👍😊
I use a small fan to dry
Can you paint a bumble bee and a butterfly?
Hi Penny! I will add it to my list of tutorials for sure! Thank you for the request! 😁 I haven't done either of those before so I am looking forward to the new challenge! 🤗💕 I will create this as soon as I can!
Yes, please. The bumblebee is special significance. Thanks
Count the spots by what... The years.. Or months.. Or days...?
My apologies for not mentioning how much of a great job the kiddo did, that one's my favorite
I don’t think ladybirds live years? Maybe more like weeks?
