I had visited WeiXin once about 10 years ago, not to the city though, to a close by village having a big power plant planned. Honestly I didn't even know before watching your video that WenXin is this big. I always assumed it was a tiny county city of maybe 50,000 population. I still have strong memory from that trip the eggs and pork from their countryside are the most tasteful ones I ever have. 100 times better than what we normally get in city grocery stores, and even better than the "organic" or "grass-fed" ones. It's been over 10 years, not sure if still the case. You can try going to more remote area to try.
Dude the amount of people out interacting at night and the activities they are doing is just mind blowing. Here in Canada most people just stay inside or at most go out to restaurants, but that is about it.
Well, you're describing the atmosphere in small cities, but Canada also has a few large cities with a more vibrant lifestyle and night life. I presume that you're comparing with medium sized cities (which is true, most medium sized cities in Canada are quiet) but it is definitely different in Montreal. I can't speak for Toronto because I have not been there since maybe 6-7 years and every time it was for a private political event and I only stayed 1 or 2 nights. However I lived in downtown Montreal for 9 years and it is very dynamic in every hour or the day/night. The pandemic has slowed things down a little bit but this summer was almost normal (except for tourism). People were back outside gathering in parks and in the streets and they are very social. I remember even in the middle of the pandemic in January/February there were random people gathering in a park, a local DJ was coming with his sound system and they were dancing on a frozen lake (because bars were closed). I was surprised to see the police not giving a fuck about it while it was clearly in violation of the Quebec government's decree.
Thank you again for another glimpse into the real China. The countryside reminds me of my hometown that I left in the early 80s. I don’t know if I will ever see it again. But I do plan to go back to China in the next couple year. It is time. Thank you for the reminders. :)

This is the so-called "18th tier" city, really?? Aw, c'mon pretty missy.. My hometown where I live right now is literally a provincial capital "city".. and it's nothing close to this level of development, this video is such a bully against my self-confidence.. *broke down in tears😭** (joke) But for real now, I'm amazed at this level of development performance seen in China. I suppose this was a smaller rural town before, right? I can only imagine the rapid growth and development seen in this city, what might used to be a rural town is now transforming into modern urban city at a fast rate like.. whoa😳😯 China really is the country where people from the rural region saw significant transformation of their living standard right before their eyes, it's awe-inspiring!😃😊

@@patrickwu6052 spadeysay is NOT wrong. There are vast swaths of cities all across the USofA that are literally "returning to nature". Lookup GARY INDIANA and CAIRO ILLINOIS. There are towns and small cities in California that are shuttered and abandoned: mainly in California's Central Valley. Even in the "prosperous" Southeastern U.S. there are also cities that have vast sections "returning to nature". BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA is one of those Southeastern cities. They all have one thing in common and that is they were dependent on manufacturing but then the steel mills closed or the rubber plant closed or the auto assembly plant closed and there was no jobs to replace them so persons in those towns packed up and moved elsewhere and the structures that got abandoned would get vandalized and torched and thus entire sections of abandoned cities "returned to nature".

I still have strong memory from that trip the eggs and pork from their countryside are the most tasteful ones I ever have. 100 times better than what we normally get in city grocery stores, and even better than the "organic" or "grass-fed" ones. Dude the amount of people out interacting at night and the activities they are doing is just mind blowing. Here in Canada most people just stay inside or at most go out to restaurants, but that is about it.
It's soooo true. Life is so boring here!!
It's hard to do that when it's coold lol
I don't think I would like to stay in Canada 😀

The city looks so clean and nice with nice roads and walkways! They put all the cables underground which makes the whole place so nice and tidy! 5:51 Wow, I really like that!

That's just so clean and well maintained for a 18th tier city 👍
This is the so-called "18th tier" city, really?? Aw, c'mon pretty missy.. My hometown where I live right now is literally a provincial capital "city".. and it's nothing close to this level of development, this video is such a bully against my self-confidence.. *broke down in tears😭** (joke) But for real now, I'm amazed at this level of development performance seen in China. I suppose this was a smaller rural town before, right? I can only imagine the rapid growth and development seen in this city, what might used to be a rural town is now transforming into modern urban city at a fast rate like.. whoa😳😯
China really is the country where people from the rural region saw significant transformation of their living standard right before their eyes, it's awe-inspiring!😃😊
Meanwhile many "cities" in the US are practically dying from decay and poverty.

China ain’t doing good. The people live like rats compressed in high rise bunkers, chinas economy continues to confront a structural slowdown, and what about chinas social credit system? That’s just crazy man..
@@kevinking7277 LOL. First of all the majority of Chinese people live in cities because that's how even people prefer to live as opposed to preference for suburbs and Countryside.
