IDAHO FALLS -- An Arizona family is desperate for their loved ones to return home after they abruptly bought thousands of dollars of survival gear, boarded a plane for Idaho and cut off all communication because they believe the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is imminent.
At the center of the situation is 16-year-old Blaze Thibaudeau, who has been reported missing to law enforcement and may be in danger, according to his father, Ben Thibaudeau.
"They see him as a Davidic servant (chosen individual) who plays a significant role in the Savior's return. They feel they needed to take him to an undisclosed location where he would receive his calling and understand his role in the Second Coming," Ben tells EastIdahoNews.com. "I fear for his safety, especially if my son is contentious, rebellious or belligerent. I fear that my brother-in-law would restrain him or do something that would incapacitate him."
Blaze is with his mother, Spring Thibaudeau; his 23-year-old sister, Abi Snarr; and his uncle Brooke Hale, who is Spring's brother. Nobody in the family knows where they are and none of them have been heard from since Monday.

The amount of LDS families getting wrapped up in these dangerous cult beliefs is extremely alarming and this needs to be a wake up call for a lot of people
It’s always been an LDS thing. So many branched off cults came from Mormon beliefs. When a church is built around a prophet, other “prophets” feel inclined to start receiving messages too.

My heart was breaking for this prescious father. I had to look for an update, since I just saw this as a recommended video. His son, Blaze, has been returned to him safely, and Blaze's mother and uncle are in custody. I hope the mother and uncle will receive the mental health help they desperately need.

I'm LDS, and pay attention to the signs of the times. I've been trying to rebuild my food storage. I know that times will get bad. I know that I will have a role to play in the last days, but I look to the Prophet for my marching orders. I don't pay attention to fringe groups. Some may have good intentions; but they have been lead astray. I have friends that I worry will fall into this trap. I worry for them. In the last days, many will be lead astray. Trust the leadership of the church.

I am a long time Idaho resident. The comment made that Boise law enforcement was NOT able to help is extremely concerning. Idaho elected state officials (in Boise!) need to get with all law enforcement agencies statewide (plus Canadian border authorities) to ensure that this kind of endangered missing person report is given a #1 priority. No excuses.

I’m worried about that 16 year old…. They need to find them all, quickly. I’m not LDS but I wish the church would speak out against these fringe groups that are doing dangerous things. I know it wouldn’t stop all of them but maybe it would stop some.
They speak out about it ALL THE TIME. 😢 I think fear mongering of political groups and conspiracy theorists on the internet are tricking a lot of people.
I have heard them say things in general conference against the energy healings and extremism. But they should probably release an official statement naming some of these specific groups and books. I mean it’s kind of dumb because if you are Mormon you know that the practices and beliefs of these groups do not align with the church doctrine, but there’s a lot of active members who somehow go to church but believe in this stuff as well so i agree 100% they need to call it out. Especially since some of their stakes and wards were referring members to Jodi Hildebrandt for counseling.
Mormons in these sects are going off the deep end. The church says nothing. They need to DENOUNCE these books and something needs to happen to the leaders of these fringe groups. Why are these Mormons not finding fulfilling enough lives to where they need to follow these dooms day preppers. Why are there so many stories of Mormons killing their husbands, wives and children? This is not doctrine that they are following. I am not Mormon but with all the tragedies coming from this church it would have me raising eyebrows if I were a part of it . This is so sad.

just read the family was found in Alaska. The boy was okay. The mother and uncle were arrested; I don't know about the sister. It was in an Idaho newspaper.

It's still wise and prudent to be prepared for natural disasters or even economic collapse or famine/food shortage/water contamination issues such as happened in Detroit. So yeah actually reading their bible would have been a great start. The woman who claims to have studied the rapture, somehow missed these important biblical points.
