I’m a dodgers fan, so I was happy watching him ball out last season. Getting rid of the shift helped him and bellinger a lot. And btw you did a great job with this video, It was enjoyable to watch and well researched. Looking forward to what you do next🔥
Must've definitely hurt losing Seager a couple years ago, but it was always in the back of my head that they were spending less the last free agencies to go big with Shohei! I'm glad you enjoyed the vid :)
What's insane to me is that against all pitch types that he saw more than once last season, he slugged .545 or better, and the only pitch that saw his average dip below .300 was the sinker (.294). That's crazy!
Good stuff man. Somehow you got recommended and I’ve really been enjoying your stuff. Keep it up. Braves fan but I still love Seager even when he was a dodger.
If it makes you feel better I love that he's on my Rangers squad. Could you imagine the Dodgers with Seager on that team with Ohtani, Betts, and Freeman. Fck that noise.
I agree with you and have said that forever ...BUT... with the analytics of today and the high level of pitching, banning the shift was the right move for the entertainment value of the game. Are you correct? Yes... but seeing some lefty struggle to dribble a glorified bunt off of the hands down the third base line isn't going to get butts in the seats.
When they were talking about banning it I was 100% against it, and the only reason I'm good with it now, is because they only banned the Extreme Shift. It's hard enough to get a hit without the shift.
I truly believe that the MLB attendance records had far more to do with people rushing out to do things after the pandemic and absolutely nothing to do with the pitch clock, more stolen bases, or the shift ban. I think the MLB used that stat to justify the changes, and I think you’ll see attendance numbers take dip this season.
Yep.. and all it does is make fukfac... i mean Manfuk.... I mean ... All it does is make Manfred think he was SOOOO right and encourages him to make more dumbass changes
Toronto, Seattle, Atlanta, Houston and Philly were all concurrently competitive teams in large markets, Dodgers and Yankees and Cardinals are always a big draw and a lot tickets bought by Padres and Mets fans before the season started thanks to their expectations carrying over from 2022. The teams that have the metro area population to draw well were all reasonably competitive.
seager puts statlines up like this for the remainder of his career and he will be first ballot when he can get elected he very well could have broken a record without that hamstring aggrivation but i guess baseball gods dont want him to be a one hit wonder in one season for example those pitchers that throw no hitters then retire from bad careers after the no hit
I hope he continues performing well he's an awesome player to watch. I agree, if he continues to perform well for the next at least 6/7 years then he's a lock for the hall. Having 2 World Series MVP's definitely does not hurt...
It'll be interesting, it seems like the Yankees might have a repeat of their 2023 season with the news to Gerrit Cole yesterday. As a fan of the Jays it makes the division easier, but I never like seeing a player as awesome to watch as Cole potentially require TJS.
Nah enough with Bauer. There’s so many videos that cover his story. There’s thousands of players throughout history with great stories but 10% of the baseball stories on RUclips are about Bauer haha
@@3-0Greenlight A lot of commentators pronounce Adolis' name the same way you did. It's really a non-issue. Keep up the great work, and thank you for covering my Rangers!!

Rangers fan here, been a seager fan since his first ws mvp. Was elated and confused when we got him. You guys are STACKED rn btw

That's an impressive stat! He was truly a nightmare to play against.
Seager is the patrick mahoms of baseball in the playoffs, dudes a stud
Two World Series MVP's is crazy!
Everyone was wondering what would happen if the Rangers didn’t win the World Series. I guess we’ll never know!!!
Don't forget he was NLCS MVP AND WS MVP in 2020!
you gotta make a playlist of your mlb videos
everytime you upload boom new video for us who check your playlists. i like to put them on while i go to sleep
Just made one!

Great vid
:)
9:30 Texas Rangers fans: ok sure, why not make it 45 minutes long?
😂
It’s crazy how he didn’t mention that Cory Seager is also a World Series MVP in 2020 with the Dodgers
Greatest Rangers free agent signing behind only A Rod. Lol
He's been a beast!
Nolan Ryan?
@@BrettShadow 42 YO Ryan? I’d put Beltre ahead of him. Among others.
Arod was not a good signing lol probably the worst
@@dnavarro972 I was kidding about that.
We miss him over at dodger stadium
I bet he was awesome over there! Too bad for all the injuries he sustained, he would've played a lot more.
If it makes you feel better I love that he's on my Rangers squad. Could you imagine the Dodgers with Seager on that team with Ohtani, Betts, and Freeman. Fck that noise.
add O lis - nice annunciation
Fye vid🫡🫡
Glad you enjoyed!
I know they're major leaguers but if they'd just hit the ball the other way they wouldn't have had to ban the shift.
It’s because they’re major leaguers that this is the correct answer.

Plus you can make the argument that position players should at least have to somewhat play their actual position at the time of the pitch
The ban of the shift revealed how fucking cheap it was. All it did was limit good hitters and give teams cheap outs.
100% I'm glad it's gone.
When they were talking about banning it I was 100% against it, and the only reason I'm good with it now, is because they only banned the Extreme Shift. It's hard enough to get a hit without the shift.
I may sound like a idiot but why don’t they just bunt down the 3rd baseline

he got atleast 1 more on that dominant texan team he's on@@3-0Greenlight
That team is scary. They didn't even have Degrom last year, Evan Carter seems to be a stud, and they have even more good prospects on the way.

I think he might be playing a injury
Love the video! But you gotta pronounce Adolis correctly 😂

Props for trying but you butchered poor Mark Grudzielanek, I only remember because he owned the Red Sox.
Pronunciation: \grud-zuh-LAH-nick\
Breaking news: when you prevent the defense from being able to defend, the offense gets more production
Nice vid bud.... but if you don't know the pronunciation... take the 15 seconds and look it up. It's a easy way to not look lazy and adds credibility.
What was wrong?
I mispronounced Adolis when I mentioned him.
You're right, if I mention him again I'll have It down.
@@BASEBALLfreakFORlife Mark Grudzielanek (gRez-ul-on-ick) and Yount wasn't THAT bad but still a bit off.
Ohhhh, on baseball reference his pronunciation is grud-zuh-LAH-nick. That's what I used.
