going back 3 yrs, and your analysis of hands is still spot on.. great natural talent Brad.. sometimes you just "cant say no".. it is Poker.. weird shit happens.. mistakes get made, but, learn ( i do ) from them and rebound.. best poker Vlog going.. bar none..
Brad just something I caught instantly in that KQ vs T5 hand. After the 10 hits on the turn, the guy immediately checks, then quickly takes a drink. I don't give too much credence to these things, however watch his manerisms on the turn especially with the sips he's taking.I have yet to see someone comfortable enough to "sip my tea" who was bluffing. Easy fold after the raise comes on the turn IMO.
cardshark525 Great read on the drink sipping. I saw a guy scratch himself, after raising a big hand last week. So I figured no way he would do that on a bluff.
The real issue is, why are we betting the turn now all of a sudden? Repping a ten... when we only have a Q? We turned what was most likely the best hand on the flop, into a total bluff on the turn.... which means when we get checked raised here..... a fold is very easily found.
Well, I can see myself calling the raise if I know him as someone who raises paired boards and hardly shows down the goods... but your hero calling... and he looks old... not a good combo lol
question...when you play cash games do you usually just play decent hands such as pairs, suited connectors, A something? also what is the frequency in which you enter pots?
Hey Brad, ive been a Sub. since Vlog 3! Cant help but notice you have gained a ton of confidence along the way. Like the way you dont get pushed around at the table as well !
Great Vlogs Brad, I appreciate the hard work you put into these and they come out well as well as your hand breakdowns, when you played good and made mistakes. All the good things for you
Greatest vlog yet brad. I liked how you analyze hands in your session, giving me a prime perspective of the game. Definitely enjoy watching them keep up the good work.
I’m at the point when I win more than I lose day in and day out. What would the next step be for someone who lives outside of gambling online states? I have a few Indian casinos around my location but no high limit games
I've noticed a lot of rec players will think along the way the lady in the A4 hand actually vocalized. Thinking about the worse case scenario, even if it didn't make sense for the action/their range/their opponents range, and then playing their hand according to this worse case. When i heard you mention that she asked whether or not you had a set of kings or aces, I was pretty sure you would need those hands or J10 to beat her. Honestly, when I first started playing NL I thought the same way, always thinking everyone had monsters and missed tons of value playing far to conversatively. I have no idea how she never found a raise, unless you have some uber nit image at the 5/10! Love the videos, keep it up!
Another great video, Brad! At 13:55 I think you can bet bigger than 50 into 95, since your value range is KX plus. So maybe 75-pot sized bet. And you build the pot more vs the player who had a few too many to drink ;)
This was the first video of yours I've seen and I'm happy to subscribe as I enjoyed it very much! One quick question: was the final hand not just 80 BBs effective?
When you said to Hashtag King, "I have you covered," were you trying to give him a reverse tell so that he would shove? I mean, that kind of statement--especially given the tone and the timing--is a classic live tell for weakness, so I'm just curious if you gave him credit for knowing that and then decided to reverse-tell-him to induce the all-in (which you said at the outset of the hand was your objective with 10-10). Thanks, boo.
Great Vlogs Brad! I played with hashtag king in February at Bay Shooting stars and he's quite a character indeed. I'm curious if you ever play Limit such as 20/40 or 40/80.. that would be an awesome special episode.
The A4o hand was rough. Seemed like a standard check call/check fold. Love how you owned up to the mistake tho. Keeps others from overplaying their top pairs with a board like that out of position.
nice session, same thing happen to me at the 2/5 there, $200 buy in. a new maniac player was raising from every pos, table was friendly for hours before he came along, I woke up to AA on the button, he pre flop pumped to $60 and I made it $160, trying to iso. and 4 players called, I was sweating, up against AQ and AK and (10's short stack all in,) my stack was $500, I jammed after the flop, luckily the maniac hit his Q, board ran out (favorably), LOL, $1,800 pot biggest of my life, won $3,500 that night, I am a small ball player and I don't like big pots, so I am in awe when I see you and A.N involved in huge pots. keep up the great posts. Jeff G.
thanks Brad, that was some time ago, but it is my was best cash ever, in fact I had just met Mr. D. Brunson about 10 minutes before I played, he is a great guy and he inspired me to play that night, who or what inspired you to play poker? , looking forward to your next vlog, Jeff
Hi, Brad! Awesome video & happy Run Good. I was wondering if you are planning to do a video about bankroll management and gears you use for recording and editing your video.
On the A 4 hand. you got yourself in trouble there. Thanks 4 your honesty. Great vlog. TT was a flip pretty much. I like a fold or flat there personally. Just see a flop. after you get 4bet. Keep up the great vlog bro. Saw you at Red Rock
Great vlog Brad! What is the deal with filming at the tables? It seems sometimes they allow it and other times they do not. Love seeing the action at the table to go along with the hand reviews. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Jason. It's a weird thing. Not sure if they're going to relax on their rules a little now that they have the live streaming at Bellagio or what. I don't normally play there so I flew under the radar a little bit. I know what their policy is with Andrew. I figured I'd just try and film until they noticed/told me not to. It worked out well for this session. If I go back I anticipate someone having a word with me.
Austin HuberHey Brad, I have watched all of your videos and they are a great learning tool. I am fairly new to the game but have played a lot of hands to the point I am now playing 2/5. Two questions I would like to ask you. One do you play for a living and question number two how do you deal with a losing session where you get every great starting known to man kind and still gave a losing session. For example a/k seven times pocket kings three times pocket aces twice suited j/10 three times. All in three hours time. I got stuck for 1300 bought in one more time only to beat the guy 2/4suited on the button and double up. So I lost about 500 total.1 minute ago•
Hey, Brad! I noticed you picked up 5 black chips from the cashier but when you show your starting stack on the table there's only 4. Did you notice you were playing short or might have dropped a $100 chip somewhere? P.S. I know this video is old but I'm a fan and watch one of your older videos that I haven't seen from time to time.
This was a session that I think you'll learn a lot from how you played! Very good hands and some that you can improve for the future! Great vlog overall Brad, really looking forward to future ones, keep them coming! I am just excited about watching your vlogs as Andrew Neemes ( almost as excited) haha. If you ever come to Southern Cali let me know, I'd love to meet poker players and exchange experiences. I just turned 21 in February and went to Vegas, played at the Aria, Venetian and MGM. Actually won 4/5 sessions so was pretty good! It'd be really cool to meet you one day! I didn't get to play at Bellagio but really want to! I liked Aria's action better than Venetian. I mainly play 1/3 100-300. But want to move up stakes soon to possibly 2/5, but i think i still need some time and a bigger BR Keep Crushing it bro! Alan
When she asks if you have Aces or Kings, didn't that hint to you she had Queens? She was asking you if you had the 2 hands that had her beat to see your reaction?!
I have to admit Brad, I was not a big fan when you first started the vlog. However, the quality and storyline have vastly improved and I like what you're doing now. Keep it up man!
Thanks. I look back on earlier videos every once in awhile and it's hard for me to watch them. I'm sure that's how I'll feel at some point about episodes I'm doing now but I'm always at least trying to get better. I appreciate it.
I think you hit a good stride recently with the couple road trips and also showing your personality more as opposed to just grinding. I've played with Dmoongirl in the past, she travels to vegas often as do I. I'll be there next week, you can find me playing any LHE and mix at Bellagio. I'll say what's up if I see you
I was begging for a check raise on the flop in the A8ss hand! Bunch of great turns, get better aces to fold, turn barrel will take it on the turn a bunch etc etc
Everyone who plays poker has a lot to learn. A bunch of the best players in the world just got smoked by a robot. The plan for this channel is to hopefully learn and improve together. Good luck. Maybe I will see you at a final table someday.
I've seen Hashtag King on Live at the Bike and he can be extremely obnoxious. Glad you got the best of that hand. Just needed some footage of Danielle to make this a perfect episode. Keep up the run good!
Thank you man. Yeah she was really cool to hang out with and talk to. She's friends with some people I know so I may see if she's interested in being on a future episode.
Hey man, love the vlog. Had to question your logic on the QKss hand. If we are playing this hand the same as the AJ hand against the same V, then he can very well be inclined to think you're betting turn so checking turn seems profitable vs. you if you've already shown him you're capable of doing so. Keep up the good work on the vlog! Cheers
Sweet shove with those 10s i gotta start vlogging my sessions as well. I play from Iowa to LA a lot. When I do hit Vegas I hit the Encore but I don't like where they moved the room
Hey Brad, I'll be in Vegas this upcoming weekend for a buddy's bday. Any chance you have some good downtown bar suggestions? That's our Thursday night plan. Thanks for the video as always!
It depends on what you're into. I really like going to Gold Spike. It's an awesome indoor/outdoor bar that is huge so sometimes there are lots of people there but it's never too crowded and there are tons of cool games to play. They have life-size Jenga, Cornhole, and Connect 4. Tons of other games as well.
Yo dude, went back and watched all your blog posts, diggin it. anyways, was hoping you'd share your poker book collection and talk about some of your most recent favorites. cheers, your fan, Austin
That's 10's push was fun vs that opponent. I ran into someone similar a couple years ago at the wsop in a 2/5 game. Guy sits down with a fanny pack and raises the first 5 hands to 35-50 without looking at his cards and then he demands a mandatory $10 button straddle for everyone and he would $100 straddle on the button. If the last person to act folded next to him he would stop him from folding, try to trade cards or flip over his hand showing how bad it was. He just wanted to gamble. It caused people to shove lighter and you either made a boatload vs him or lost a lot. We ended up getting a 20+ person list just to sit at our table including people from the 5/10 and 10/25 games. Hours later I'm playing $10 a point open face Chinese with moneymaker. What a week that was.
That 10-5 hand was pretty funny. I knew he had a 10 when he raised, every time.he made a bet he took a comfortable drink, just as casual as it gets. Gotta watch those live tells dude. Most people aren't good enough to throw false tells.
I don't know how much she was in for but her stack is the one in front of mine in the last hand. Looked like she had about $3500 so if she was in for only one buy in then she was up 2k. We were only in the game together for about an hour and I didn't really see her play any significant pots. She was fun to hang out with though.

cardshark525 Great tell read... I'll keep an eye out for this type of tell in my future sessions.
cardshark525 Great read on the drink sipping. I saw a guy scratch himself, after raising a big hand last week. So I figured no way he would do that on a bluff.

Repping a ten... when we only have a Q?
We turned what was most likely the best hand on the flop, into a total bluff on the turn.... which means when we get checked raised here..... a fold is very easily found.
Let's say he just calls the turn...
What was your plan for the river? Thin value?
Would you of called a river raise?
Well, I can see myself calling the raise if I know him as someone who raises paired boards and hardly shows down the goods... but your hero calling... and he looks old... not a good combo lol
"All I know is that I don't trust anyone that wears two watches" LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Kevin Lee doc brown wears two watches. I trust him
Kevin L that was gold I was dying when he that!
You know what they say about people who wear more than one watch............................they got to much time on their hands. hahahahhhahahh
Should have said too or two even definitely not to though
Wow, your description of the A8 spades hand was so great. I rewatched it, bravo. well thought out.
Watching your old videos... You sound so young here.... As always, I enjoy all you videos, best wishes...
question...when you play cash games do you usually just play decent hands such as pairs, suited connectors, A something? also what is the frequency in which you enter pots?
Hey Brad! It was great meeting you yesterday. You and Andrew have taught me so much. Thanks for the great vlog!
Nice meeting you too! I'm happy to hear that you've been improving. I'll definitely be in touch with you.
She literally told y she had QQ lol
I was yelling FOLD on the turn, and then he followed up with a big river bet. Ugh. #King bailed B-rad out on this session.
Saw an upload of brad poker vlog. I can go back to sleep in 20 minutes
ROMAN ! .... it's mommy go to bed !
Roman Pena haha
"Should fold but I hate to fold." The most beautiful thing you can ever hear an opponent say to you at the poker table.
All the good things for you
There was definitely a lot that went into this one so I'm glad that it came through. Thanks a lot for the comment. Good luck to you.
That last hand was amazing. I was nervous myself for the outcome.
Thanks, could've easily gone the other way. Glad I got a good run out.
sameeeee lol
Greatest vlog yet brad. I liked how you analyze hands in your session, giving me a prime perspective of the game. Definitely enjoy watching them keep up the good work.
That's always what I hope to hear when I put one out. Thanks for the comment.
learning a lot from your blog. nice camera work and graphics during the hands. good luck!

Brad - my 2nd best poker vlogger!
Coming to Vegas this weekend to play two / Five. Any chance you will be at the Wynn?
Hashtag King is a maniac at LATB..always makes for a great show!

Keep em coming mr. Owen's!!! I love your vlogs
This episode was sick, you should play more 5/10
I like how you played the AJ hand. Checkin the flop made him think you probably didn't have one, hence his river call. Nice work
Thanks Kayla :)

Hey Brad,

hey Brad just curious how did Dmoongirl do in the game?
I don't know how much she was in for but her stack is the one in front of mine in the last hand. Looked like she had about $3500 so if she was in for only one buy in then she was up 2k. We were only in the game together for about an hour and I didn't really see her play any significant pots. She was fun to hang out with though.
