I'd _love_ more nerf history. I'm a bit too young and isolated to have been able to have participated in those days myself, so videos like these really help illuminate how we got to where we are.
I agree, I feel like preserving these tidbits for posterity is important for us to know where the hobby has come from... I wonder if anyone has undertaken the task of archiving to preserve the record.
It's like listening to musicians talk about how they would get all the effects they could into their recordings before the age of computers. I still blow out AR's the old way sometimes lol.
I’ve had my pump snap for going on 9 and a half years now, still use it to this day, after many tweaks and adjustments, the entrance of 3D printing, laser cutting and even cnc’d parts it still holds the test of time, and there is nothing I’d rather use
It DoEsN't CoUnT In all seriousness those are pretty cool, and I might try one myself, but I'm going to see if I can't make my own rainbow catch sometime
I remember when I first found Drac's channel (when he was penny-modding and showing us how to dual-wield Spectres!), he then revealed this super-overpowered 'homemade' scene. And I've still got some nostalgia for those sort of blasters, so it's nice to see some history. Plus the 3D printed offerings these days don't have the 'jank' factor that makes them cool.
Man. I remember watching your videos back then. I was still ~10 and was really into nerfing. Sadly, I don't do it as much anymore, and mostly watch the videos to see what kind of cool stuff comes out - whether it be from your very own workshop or the community in general.
@@alexkagansky9987 I can see MEGA being discontinued, but so long as we can downscale them to fire .50 cal, I feel they'll age more elegantly than the Ultra line.
@@redroyal4287 I could see a slightly improved model for the Stryfe superseding it, but the Perses is nearly perfect except for the iffy hopper, and I don't see any Caliburn challengers, especially as Slug keeps updating and improving them.
Great to see the old snap pistols again. I made one awhile ago finnaly, actually pleased with power of these blasters, the guides are still around RUclips, Thank you for your vids on them, and the hot glue domes. Hope you have a great Christmas
Please do more videos on the history of nerf homemades, it's one of my absolute favorite parts of this community and I'm kinda sad I will never get to really experience that time of using cutting board and cloathspins as build materials
I absolutely love the story time back in time with Drac, please make more videos like this one! I love to see all different types of old and new blasters, a rising tide raises all boats right Drac?
Heck yeah I’d rock a homemade. Bringing back the AA bow for Foam Pro Tour 2020. Just gotta tune it down a bit so I can practice in our 130 cap local games.
Do you still have any of your OG primaries from NoM? I think I remember you having a pump snap from around this same period that had a hopper. I think it was called the snapfang or fangsnap?
I was working on a Double-Barrel one of these not too long ago. One of the cylinders got ruined so im trying to salvage it as a single barrel. Homemades are super fun to work on but i wish they were more viable in battle.
I never had a 3D printed blaster (my dream blaster is the fdl 3) besides the point I would prefer homemade’s as in old style homemades and i decided i want give it a try and if i make a homemade it will become my foam bro tour primary.
You know, if something goes wrong with that snap carbine, you smacked with that rod, but also if something goes wrong with a pump snap, you're getting something pinched. Which would you prefer?

Gimme a link to a pic please!!

Honestly I like the video a day schedule because we get to see cool stuff like this we wouldn’t normally see
Will I ever use a homemade?
My "sniper rifle" IS a Rainbow Pistol.
Your's is a 3D printed one from FF right?

Still have the snap bow mkv that I commissioned from nom still works beautifully
He’s the master, indisputably
Personally I find these way cooler than most of the 3D printed blasters that we have nowadays

What do you think will be obsolete/relic of the past in 10 years from now?
Besides the ultra one :v
I think that the MEGA and ULTRA lines will be dead in ten years
@@alexkagansky9987 I can see MEGA being discontinued, but so long as we can downscale them to fire .50 cal, I feel they'll age more elegantly than the Ultra line.
I know I'm gonna get hate for this, but I think
stryfe or perses for production models
Caliburn for homemade

I was just stunned hearing you talk about NoM again. He just disappeared off youtube years back and I loved seeing his homemades.
o boi you brought up andtheherois,

Love seeing and hearing about the history of how we got to where we are
So one way to fix the charging handle issue is to put it up top with a sight/carry handle like the FAMAS.
Ah yes, the days when a powerful single shot pistol was a viable option
Super impressive! I don't think I'd figure that out with only old sprinkler parts!
Don't worry dude, the sweater is awesome! Great video as always dude, i really enjoyed it!
That sweater doesn't look ugly to me. I'd wear one out unironically.
Happy Holidays. Keep up the good work.
History!!!!!!!! Love the OldSkool nerf Scene!

While I'm glad these things exist at one point.. I'm glad stuff like this isn't used so much anymore.
That is an awesome piece of history, Drac.
Hey are there any nerf groups in alabama? I know drac's group is in atlanta, georgia but that is the closest one I've heard about.

handsome holiday sweater
You should do more of these reviews on old homemades. If you can find one a revshot review would be sweet.
You ponder a Carbine Caliburn? Not the existing Talon Claw?
Meanwhile, the thirteen dislikes must be left-handers...
I'd give anything for just one round with the bloodborn solely cause I love old-school homemades and I love African bloodwood
Can’t believe the Nerf Dog Tennis Ball Launcher didn’t make the list. It has nerf painted on both sides!!!!!
ahh yes homemade pipe guns. i love this community

Hey snap, im making a metric, left handed one, also yes I am going to use it at Grim Up Nerf if I can
KNDOperative was onto something
Does anyone else remember the Dracbow from back in the dorm room days cause I still wanna make one
Nerf o mania I haven't heard about him in years. I did use NoM's snap bow tutorial to build mine.
I really wanna know what happened to him its like he fell off the face of the earth
I think you could make the Nerf equivalent of an Anti-Tank rifle with this-
Love your channel
I like it, it's like a Nerf grease gun

America has so many more guns that Australia wow!
Well we don't even have rivals lol
Is that a Secret Shot II in the top-left corner I see?
The name that shall not be mentioned
Thank god he pronounced carbine right. (Before people get triggered. Its a subjective thing. I just cringe whenever I hear people say 'car-bean')
I kinda prefer this to 3d printed blasters
you should do a video going over NIC history
This is proper nerfing
Well this is epic
Oh nerf haven.
Fuck Talos ? I think that was his name.
That’s so awesome
can you do a review on
the colonel wasp firefly
I still use k26 rainbow pistols and arrow storms

Put knife in toaster, fingers taste chrunchy
